Janet: How do we expect Sakaja to be competent when his academic credentials are in contestation?

  • Janet Ouko - Education Analyst: As Nairobians, we need to lie on the bed we made. We chose someone whose academic credentials are in public contestation therefore, how do we expect Governor Sakaja to be competent? We expect UDA to take responsibility for the kind of leadership they ensured seats at City Hall. If they really feel the governor isn't articulating their manifesto, they should do something.

Sakaja coming in with clearly FAKE DEGREE Papers, Fully Supported and Seconded by Looters, what outcome did we expect from him apart from Looting Nairobi City Resources??? Sakaja has never managed even a Department of 4 people. How then could Kenya expect Him to manage Nairobi with over 5 million people??? Secondly,it's not a matter of having good papers!
We've had professors fail at varied levels of elective positions ...Sudi is doing quite well, minus higher education certificate, who doesn't know that...

Stop dancing around the issue. If you don't like or agree with a law then you change it first before changing the practice. It is a requirement that aspirants for Governor's office be holders of a degree. Therefore, firstly, Sakaja committed a crime by presenting a fake degree certificate. Secondly he has turned out to be extremely incompetent, not to mention that growing levels of corruption taking place under his watch.

Madam pls, the leadership of these coalitions are not investigators. They have no apology to make. First when that issue came up, uhuru was president. He is the one who was to use the DCI to prove the fake certificate. He was defeated in court. Right now there is bad blood between sakaja and DP. So is neither here or there.

You have missed the point by a wide margin. It is a requirement if the law that I e MUST have a degree certificate to run for the office of the Governor. It has nothing to do with what some other Governor with a degree did or didn't do. It is just that Sakaja doesn't have a degree and secondly, that he presented fake degree certificate which is also a crime in itself.

Only in Kenya where incompetence and mediocrity are worn on the sleeve like a badge of honor. 61 years old but still can't do things right. The fact that country stinks from here to the highest of heavens and beyond is pathetic and beyond measure. Yet we are a very prayerful country - all faith but no work. The disconnect between the amount of prayers that go out and the positive changes is appalling. Stop with the hypocritical prayers and start working!
