The surrounding area is home to Mewata Armoury, Millennium Park, and previously was the location of the old Greyhound Bus Station, and the Calgary Planitarium.

Still disappointed that the city never got to build a combined NHL and CFL facility for the Flames and Stampeders on the site of the old Greyhound terminal adjacent to Sunalta station.. It makes just way too much sense!
