The 'TO BE CONTINUED' to "TT" is their song "KNOCK KNOCK" which is like a prequel to TT.. and yeah Tzuyu looked young in "Like OOH-AHH" coz she was literally 16(she's 23 now). Cant wait for the twice stream on Saturday..

I think something TWICE did very well early on, was finding the balance between cute and like fun and bubbly.
When many people think of "cute" concepts, they might think of only "Sweet" concepts; like the musical equivalent of cotton candy, a lot of sweet and fluff but not substance.
With Twice, I feel like their cute is more the musical equivalent of a bubbly citrus drink, like Sprite.
It's sweet, but they're also bubbly, energetic, refreshing and even a little rebellious.
Many people say they "usually" don't like cute concepts but that they like twice; but I think that's because people expect "cotton candy cute", but they get "Sprite cute". 😁
Anyway, super happy that you're getting to them. They're a cornerstone group for a reason, and it's great to see you love them as much as we all do 😁

*Yes or Yes being the unofficial end of the youthful era. (Which interestingly enough is the comeback Tzuyu got her braces around the same time as)
Every Once knows this feeling of being obsessed with Twice before even getting deep into their discography. The best part is that once you're done with all the Korean MVs, you'll still have all the Japanese stuff left. And then there's all the b-sides, which is a treasure trove on its own because of how different of an experience it is. And that's before getting into all the variety and meme content. You're in for such a treat that I'm jealous. I wish I could discover Twice for the first time again.

Fun factors about TWICE:
(1) Jeongyeon won many fans after Like Ooh-Ahh and Cheer Up. She and her older sister (who is a famous actress) were called the pretty Yoo sister line. Surprisingly, in a 2016 online count, most of Jeongyeon fans were fan boys, up to 80%.
(2) In Like Ooh-Ahh, Tzuyu's scene as the center on the roof of building was one of the most iconic K-pop visual scenes in 2015. Tzuyu's personal debut page gathered more than 20000 likes on their debut day, the most among all rookie idols in 2015.
(3) TWICE has three members (Nayeon, Jeongyeon, and Tzuyu) voted into the top 20 idols in 2016 Korean Gallup poll. The most in any girl groups.
(4) Sana is actually very flexible, she just acted inflexible in the Like Ooh-Ahh MV.
(5) Sana's Shy Shy Shy in Cheer Up (her dance moves in Music shows) remains the most iconic and most viral scene in K-pop.
I remember after TWICE debuted, Tzuyu and Mina were highly praised for their outstanding visual. Although Like Ooh-Ahh did not chart well, but TWICE and the members became hot searches on Google.

Like Ooh Ahh was the first Twice MV I ever watched (albeit years after it came out) and I think it’s such a unique concept and such a great introduction to them as a group, glad you two decided to watch it!
*Fun Fact:* At 6:02, Sana falling down wasn't an intentional part of the MV for Like OOH-AHH. It was a real blooper that they decided to keep because it was too cute not to. 😂😂

But also, you can see how much their music has evolved also as you go through their title tracks over the years, they still maintain the Twice color but theyve diversified the genres they're presenting. something not a lot of groups can do successfully.

In Like Ooh-Ah, the lyric "Whose Your Mama" is referring to a song by JYP (who runs their company) called Whose Your Mama - and it takes place in a gym (including treadmills). Also, the end of the video is an homage to the movie Warm Bodies.

(For example at 9:56 is reference to Lara Croft: Tomb Raider)ALSOOO bang Chan was actually in Like ooh ahh at 2:22 (the zombie with the long sleeve) and 6:42 he appears a few more times

You guys picked up on it, but I love the cheer up mv because of those concepts, every girl had a specific lens representing them as a movie/genre (Jeongyeon was in a Wong Kar-wai film, Nayeon was in a slasher, Tzuyu was in a B/w one, Momo was in an action thriller, Chaeyoung was in a western, etc.)

Fun fact: JYPE wanted Jeongyeon to be the Girl Crush of twice in the past that is why she has a short hair, when she was talking to jihyo on their vlive jihyo said that she like Jeongyeon with long hair but Jeongyeon said the company doesn't like it and Jihyo said "well I like it". and Also Bang chan as a trainee helped twice when they're were banned from using the cafeteria for them to go on diet he gave them his on meal coupons and got in trouble by it. 😊
The production team Black Eyed Pilseung were entrusted with creating Twice's sound, doing their first three title tracks you covered today, then later returning for Likey and Fancy.
Though they've done many other songs for other artists, I'd argue it was because of Twice's stratospheric success that they were able to undertake producing their own in-house girl group, STAYC.

Cheer up was so big in SK it catapulted them to stardom that they were so busy doing guesting from varity shows to stages. It was then followed by TT that went viral in Japan, Twice is known to be the group that opened the second halyu (korean) wave in Japan.
It’s so fun watching the both of you. It’s so nostalgic watching that 3 smash hit videos. You will have so much fun going thru their discography. You will know why the 3rd Gen idols have good songs and why all of them are really talented.
I would like to suggest that you include a dance choreography video when you watch an MV. So that you will appreciate how good TWICE in their choreo for their songs.

We can talk about music , concepts , visuals , vocals and all that good stuff for days. To me what makes TWICE special is that their personas are based on their own personality thus making them feel more real , relatable and doesn't make the earlier years cute aspect of them feel cringe or overwhelming . The fact that through the 7+ years these girls have been around their change is only a natural evolution and maturity process both artistically and as people is a testament that all this is not an act or a gimmick. We have been watching 9 girls grow up as our friends , neighbours , sisters , cousins , daughters , nieces whatever you want to call them and it's beeing a very pleasant ride. I really love all girls 100% , except Jeongyeonie. She has my 101%.

I'm really glad you decided to go through their mvs in chronological order. Their early music will forever hold a very special place in my heart. Your reactions to these mvs were very similar to mine back then. Imagine Cheer Up being the first Twice mv you ever see as a young teen and TT being your first comeback as a Once. I remember anticipating the release of that mv so much and the following ones too and they never once, get it, disappointed. This group really has it all and the way I fell for these girls so hard so fast back then was very similar to how fast and hard you're falling for them. Picking a bias in this group was such a struggle and while Chaeyoung is my ult, I am very much OT9 and adore every single one of them to bits. Their music was a great source of strength, cheered me up in difficult times and the girls themselves were a huge inspiration and much felt like the nine big sisters I never had who always told me to never give up and keep going. Watching and following your Twice journey is like taking a very pleasant trip down memory lane and it feels like discovering this group and their songs all over again. Dreamcatcher, Twice and Red Velvet Ult here. The two of you feel like a glimpse into the future since you remind me of me and girlfriend. I love your channel because you're so relatable. Like OOh Ahh was voted by netizens as the best debut song for any K-pop girl group. And you’re right, Twice had it from the very beginning. Their stardom was not going to be denied. Twice actually performed Cheer Up on a show called Idol Week and they did it at twice the speed and it’s quite fast.

Also I TWICE's cute concepts have always really worked because they've allowed their personal style to shine within them, they never had to all be "super-cute" if that makes sense? They kinda allowed some members to be more elegant or more chill or even more sexy, and it made their cute concept come across as being more "bright and natural" than "overly cutesy" in my opinion. That being said, Knock Knock might be their cutest title track, but I do think it still follows that "formula".
