Really good video, thank you for posting this one! Your channel is worth the sub. I've done a few Vulcan videos myself, on a '95VN800A. Your bike looks great, and I love your thick front tire. I've occasionally wondered how difficult it would be to swap my narrow tire to a larger one like yours. Can you tell me what the open distance is between your two front forks? If it is the same, it may be simple to just swap in a thicker wheel.....

Sorry but unfortunately I have sold the motorcycle. But I am looking to get another broken bike and make some more videos on restoring it.

Can someone please give me a recommendation, I've got a 2006 Kawasaki VN 800 Drifter,,, Indian I'm used to running and get where I have to go and where I want to be that means running the blacktop roads but then maybe miles of gravel roads across the USA and these modern street tires I don't like them and they don't even look good on the bike I like old school I ran a lot of bikes triumphs and other bikes but this Drifter is bigger and heavier I need recommendations as to a type and style of aggressive grip that will be good on both the blacktop on a big heavy bike like this but then carry me for miles and miles on gravel or dirt without blowing out a tire I have a spinal cord injury and don't want unnecessary breakdowns but I have to get to the woods to hunt I have to be able to run gravel and run Blacktop the tires on there are those street tires with the little lines in them they don't look good they may ride good on blacktop but they're not good in the gravel remember the old Harleys in Indians had aggressive tires on them

What's your honest opinion of the reliability and longevity of the VN 800 engine buy Kawasaki and what do you think about running full synthetic 10w 40 thank you I ask because I've got a 2006 vn800 Kawasaki Drifter it looks like an Indian and I want to know what I've got here it's only got 5500 original miles on it

I used Full synthetic oil in it. Good engine will last a long time so long as you take care of it.

@@NikGarage thank you I have a question do you know if the rear fender struts from a Kawasaki Vulcan will fit the frame on a Kawasaki VN 800 drifter? I want to build a cargo rack in a sissy bar rack above the floating fender thanks

I really wish you wouldn’t of rushed through the part abt bleeding the brakes. I guess it wasn’t so clear exactly what you did. Thanks for the video in general

Good work. How many miles on those bearings? Or how many years have they been sitting in that wheel? Looks like there was some rust in there as well.

The bike is a 1998 so I assume they are original.

I had to buy it from ebay, just need to know the actual model of your bike vn800b and vn800a have different bearing sizes. I do not remember what bearing I ordered.
