- Take a close up look and flight in one of my all time favorite aircraft the EC120B Colibri/Hummingbird, the sports car of helicopters. Priced at $1.8 million new they are not for everyone.

FINALLY, a pilot that looks for traffic effectively. I don’t know how many of these aviation videos I’ve watched where a good scan isn’t employed. Hat’s off to Stuntman. (BTW, I’m an ATP in helo’s with 30+ years flying in the NE corridor.)
Very sweet! People think they're cool for driving a supercar, but to pilot something that's 1.8 million and keep it from falling out of the sky puts you on a whole 'nother level Nick! Haha keep it up!
subaruwrxfan Thanks buddy, I crash better than anyone I know.
Matt: Fancy meeting you here. So, you're not just a car guy!
Nick Murray My CFI told me “a landing is a controlled crash! If you walk away from it - it’s a good landing!” Enjoying Your Videos! Keep them coming!!
Common stop fanning the pilots ego. They cost 1.8m for a reason. To keep it falling out of the sky.
By far the best review and explanation of helicopters on CZcams, brilliant mate, keep then coming
It is not the stators that have asymmetrical spacing. The blades have asymmetrical spacing for noise abatement. Positioning them with such spacing broadens the frequency spectrum of the noise signature and decreases the apparent noise from the fan. The stators do little to nothing in terms of noise abatement.
That simulated engine failure and the smooth(ish) landing were super cool. Love this!
I just found these videos. As a junkie of anything that flies, I find these great. Awesome job. By watching a couple of these vids, I increased my knowledge on helicopters 200%!
Nick, I really appreciate you for these reviews. I love helicopters and want to learn how to fly them so badly. Anyway, thank you, mate.
Its amazing. I wish to start to learn to fly helicopters 20 years ago when I was in my twenties.
I've always really liked the landing gear on this heli from the first time I saw it.
This is a beauty!!!! And the sound is just no equal. The design and technology! I came to the US in the intention of learning English and get a Helicopter license. I did pretty well on the first goal but never got close to even start the second. I guess that's going to be for the next life.
I got to fly alongside a great Pilot in Brazil back in the late 80's in an Ecureuil AS350 B2 HB. He did great maneuvers that would probably not be allowed here in the states and I was delighted!!
Great video, Nick
Thank you for the helicopter reviews. I enjoy watching how to start them up and fly them.
NIce. I've always liked the modern and futuristic look of these ECs..
finally a complet presentation of this helicopter. i've looked at so many videos with Ec 120b but i couldn't find one with the presentation at ground and on air. Thanks !
I love helicopters, and these are beautiful.
Thanks for sharing a slick production Nick. Please do a flight and review on my favourite helicopter the MD 500E or a 500 NOTAR.
This channel is awesome for heli enthusiasts! Thanks for the uploads!
the sound of turboshaft engines spinning up is the coolest machine sound ever!!
Phenominal video is all that I can say.
Nick, THANK YOU for another great video!!!
13 mins into video Nick and I have to say I love these helicopter reviews and I hope you will be doing a lot more of them in the future! It would also be pretty neat if we were able to see some video footage of when you start training for your fixed wing license!
I love the pitch and the yaw.
Man this thing is so slick!
Love the heli reviews. How intensive/expensive has your training been so far?
Glad I found this, thanks for the experience!
Such a great aircraft, and top notch pilot.
Absolutely loved it, keep up the great work.
That intro with the helicopter crabbing in to the wind coming at the camera was reminiscent of the opening sequence to Blue Thunder. Very cool video!
What a great film that was. Lost count of the number of times I've watched it. Never grow tired of seeing the Apaches in action!
Follow muh leadaaaaaar lol 😆
Follow my leader, " finger guns " lol
@@hugebartlett1884 you're thinking of Firebirds I think.
I do really love ur vids specially the helli vids. Keep it up man.
Greetings from Sweden
Super flying display. Beautiful helicopter. The fight control console was jerking when engine started. Good Luck Sir.
Love the aircraft reviews keep them comin
Cheers Nick that was awesome man 👍
best video ever.... thank you nick ..... keep making these kind of videos
Great content, but the most important thing is the audio which I can't hear properly. attach the lapel microphone inside the headphones or buy a Tascam to record the audio in an auxiliary channel.
My dream helicopter right here. Or any similar models. The airbus helicopters are beautiful
Excellent videos ! Keep the good wok coming Nick !
This Helicopter is on my Wish List to Buy someday,,,, Thumbs Up Nick!
Great heli review videos,a nice insight to these lovely machines which a lot of us would to fly and own but sadly never will. RC Helis are more my budget
Hallo from Denmark 🇩🇰 a new subscriber too you’re Chanel..
I love the mix between chopper/car/drone
Excellent video mate. Keep up the good work.
Congratulation.... this was an awesome video.... I really love all of your videos you pay a lot of attention to detailes and show off the helicopters with more gusto than the others.... and also always with a good hand from expert pilots.... best wishes!!!
Great video!Thanks for posting.
The R22 and R44 doesn't come close to this ! :) Thanks for the video Nick and also to John, your pilot.
The Iroquois UH-1 (Huey) is another favourite.
Very cool! Awesome aircraft!
Wonderful video, many thanks. Very enjoyable.
Love the heli vids, do more please.
Please more ...I love this video ✅
I thank you for your videos. They are great and very informative. This pilot isn’t nearly as helpful explaining things as some of the other ones you have done, but either way, I certainly enjoyed it and thank you.
Great video! I wish you will do a review on MD 500 series helicopters. Thank you
I flew in a one when I was in the Army. I just love flying.
Wow!! This thing is amazing!
Ho yeah! Now that's a helicopter. Love the shrouded tail fans big time! So smooooooth and light on it's feet.
This thing can power through almost anything.
Love how it says “stuntman” on the side of the pilot’s helmet 👍🏻 haha
Great review!!
awesome videos nick !11 keep it up!!!
Your helicopter reviews are fascinating to watch. Thank you for making them. Sharing these with friends.
Really nice mate. I hope you keep doing more reviews. cheers
The first scene was awesome :)
Great presentation!
absoulutly loved it, but i'm hard of hearing and was disapointed I couldn't keep up with the audio. thanks very much for the visual alone hope your able to do something with sound or subtitles?
great video...subscribed..From Kenya
Very impressive video!
Nice people, good explanations, interesting flights and of course ... a fantastic helicopter.
Thanks for sharing :-)
I love it. I also share the passion for cars and airplanes/helicopters and luckily I am allowed to legally pilot all of these vehicles ;)
As a heli nerd I would be interested to hear about the rotor heads in your reviews. A little about why a 2 blade is so deadly in negative G where the newer models are not. How they use titanium and composites in the newer models. I realize you can't get to detailed. But it's pretty interesting how much safer the newer birds are, and why.
awesomely gorgeous ! !
Nick Thanks a very nice Video. Also your Photography is Excellent. I have Inside Photos with the Agusta A 109 and the Agusta Grand. Thanks again
hate when the interviewer try to finalize the interviewee sentences.
-"Are we clear on the left?"
Answering without looking -" Yea Yea"
That was AWESOME!
J'adore c'est bien réaliser le colibri est super
Awesome video.
Thanks for the demo vid. Can not wait to go for a spin in one now 🤣
Love your videos
At 33:00 I'm surprised he did a full auto onto the taxiway and not onto the grass, must have scraped the skids a bit! Its a beautiful machine, I do miss flying.
hi
Very nice, informative video
Hey Nick. Is there a way you could possibly do videos on military aircraft?
very cool, I have a radio controlled model from it!!
Best and modern turbine money can buy. .....sadly I haven't enough money lol. Great video. 500e next?
Stick with the R/C Heli. Cheap safe and very realistic looking.
Always liked the Hughes 500s.
Very nice, thanks for taking the time to feed the habit of others ;)
One of these flew into the Wings and Wheels car/aircraft show at Minuteman Airfield, 6B6, Stow Massachusetts
I've become a huge aviation enthusiast thanks to Nick Murray introducing me via these helicopter reviews! Nick I'd like to see you fly those mini 2 stroke piston engine powered helicopters, I am curious to see how different powertrains influence the flight characteristics. That and of course as I'm starting out: smaller=cheaper=more easy to wrap my head around flying/owning one someday, Thanks Nick!
Flying a helicopter is always about the laws of physics, and understanding those of rotorwing physics instinctively. The more power available, the less likelihood, of overstepping a critical limit and ending up a catastrophe. Just because this pilot John, doesn't explain it all as a ground school imstructor might, he still understands it intuitively. He's a great pilot, like a great skier or Ski Patrol person, who can ski backwards as well as forward. And helicopters ARE sking in 3 dimensions instead of two. Superfast sense/response mind processing capability required. The power to weight and rotor disk response ratios are critical. No wonder the BO-105 is actually an aerobatic ship in the right hands.
Helicopters are so AWESOME !🥴😎👍🙏
So I usually don't comment on things, CZcams or otherwise, because there are so many ignorant comments to follow and it gets annoying. Also, I can't stand it when someone such as yourself does their best to put together a good video and then all people do is comment with criticisms and try to tout their own knowledge. Which is usually ignorant like I said before. So, first, I want to thank you for these videos. It's obvious you put much time, effort, and money into them. As a helo pilot myself, I enjoy watching them. Since I obviously haven't flown every helo in the world, I like to learn the handling and limitations of different types of rotocraft. So again, thank you for the effort. If you don't mind me offering a bit of FRIENDLY advice just to make the videos all the better, a couple little things...First is the audio. And I'm sure you're already aware! For some out there that have no idea what's being talked about in the first place, perhaps they don't care what is being said. It's Greek anyway! The video alone is friggin cool. But that is the most important part for me. Procedures and limitations is why I'm watching, and I couldn't hear half of what the pilot was explaining. Second, and again I don't say this being mean, you say "Yup" and "right" too much. When you ask a question, or the pilot is explaining something, and you say "yup" over and over, it's as if you already knew and you were quizzing him. And perhaps you did know some of it, but even when the info is a/c specific you say it. It takes away from the 'something learned' aspect. There were times when he started to explain something, and instead of responding with something to have him elaborate a bit, you say "yup" and it's over. "Ok", in my opinion, would be a bit better for a short response. But countering with a confirming statement, or better yet, a question, would help the video to be even more informative. But again, I don't say any of this negatively! I appreciate what you are doing! Keep it up!
why you just bitching too much? make you own videos instead
proved your own point.
I think he is saying yup, as in "Yup, I hear and understand" versus "Yup, you are right(I already knew)" Same as others may say ok, got it, alright, or make a positive sound of some sort. I don't do it all the time myself but sometimes I do and have come across others that do the same. It is like hearing someone talking on the phone and hearing them saying something so the other person knows they are listening. Some people even ask if you can hear them or are still there, if you don't acknowledge them now and again.
what can be done about the audio to clean it up to make it more understandable?
Turn down the interphone volume on the station they are recording. They are over driving its amp or the amp in the recording gear. Guessing he just didn't notice it clipping as he recorded it.
Plus it is hard to get around mics, right by lips, picking up the "pttth" wind sound, as people sound out the letter "P" in words. Sounds like a shot gun without a spit blocker.
Cool, would love to see it...
Thanks for the video. I'm hooked on watching these. Question though, why do you get the wobble on start up then it disappears? Is that to do with the gyro's? Thanks
Great work,thks.
nice one Nick,thks
SCREW car reviews (they're cool too) find more birds to review. MD 500E, Bell 222, Bell 430, MBB BO 105 etc etc... KEEP UP THE GREAT WORK!
great video!
...Mmm awesome video!!...keep up the good work...surely that`s a great heli model...and it handles really smoothly......how I wish to train to become a helicopter pilot..but that has been like attempting a journey to the moon here in Nairobi as there are too many qualifying factors for those wishing to join piloting world...
I love this pilot.
Great helo, I fueled the ec-135 medical helo as they would pass through too Louisville to the hospital.
Big fan of your videos Nick, you live a good life... Keep it up buddy :-) (fellow Aussie living in London)
Joe Achilles He isn't Australian
I have since found out, how embarrssing for me Kim Dowling haha
It may be my 35 years of Helicopter maintenance talking, I have no problem what so ever understanding the audio.🤷♂️🤷♂️
loved it
That's why I was born to fly 😊👍👌
Cheers 🚁🇪🇬🇪🇬
Great video! Thank you. I love this. The others weren't so hard to listen to? Why is this one not clear? The helicopter electronics??
Nice video good explanation eurocopter what about one video to said best private personal helicopter to buy im trying to find out
Great Show! Keep em coming !!
Oh you can leave that lower hatch off so bails can get pushed out in a timely manner. Nice dude.
Another very nice one done..... all thumbs up!!! :-)
I love the sound of turbines in the morning!
Hans Somo you grow up in a wind tunnel?
