2. For those who aren't aware (which would be fair considering I left out a line where I mention this), I LOVE Vanoss and the crew's videos. And I mean that genuinely, see the first video I made on Alpha Betas. This video doesn't come from a place of malice towards any of the creators by any means, hell I respect the hell out of them for taking the risks they did. Sadly, I personally wasn't a fan of what the result was, but I was passionate about how I felt about the show to where I wanted to make the video I did. Still, if any fans of any of the creators think I've just made it to shit on some CZcamsrs, that's not it, I respect the guys (even Chris and David) way too much.
3. Thank you for all the support on this video! This is easily the fastest growing video on the channel so far, and for a topic that I didn't think many people would tune into no less! And thanks for all the kind messages. I can’t put into words how much I appreciate it.

as a fan of the youtubers in the show, the show did not feel like something they would make excluding the pilot
Oh full disclosure (especially because I cut out a paragraph where I specify how I felt about the creators in the first place), I LOVE Vanoss and the crew. Some of the funniest gamers I watched in high school, and being one half of why I wanted to make GMOD videos when I was younger. Even in the last year I've started watching both their old and new stuff again (Even today, was watching the Go Kart Hide & Seek video).
I think the most disappointing thing in retrospect is that they HAD the good idea. Again, a serialised narrative where they go through games mashed into one is a fantastic idea, but they took the most boring route for it.
Still love their videos though, and I mean that genuinely

Honestly the show really did felt underwhelming. I like how the alien prisoner in the pilot is actually important and connected to the finale since the alien is the wife of the main villain, but the rest just felt nothing honestly.
They could've execute the show better and maybe make the show more episodic and could've added more video games in the episodes and maybe add other cool video game references as well.
And definitely make the finale a lot better, give it more build up and suspense and put more risk and have more stakes and put more work into the animation as well.
And maybe have 10 episodes of the show to expand it to give it more story and build up. But yea, the show is alright just not memorable or something to get tok excited or invested in
I get the low episode count- Animation is super expensive, and it was probably MORE expensive for them compared to indie animated shows because they were working with a pre-established studio that would probably charge much more than if they sourced their own animation staff.
But in which case, you need to make the most out of the episodes you DO have, and the first season in my opinion does *not* make good use of its time. As I said in the video.
I still give kudos to the writing staff because they clearly went in with really cool and good intentions, I just think it fell flat on its face.

They should've just simplified the Premise to just a Bunch of Gamers Game Testing Prototype Games to find some Bugs or Gameplay Issues
Hell there's a Manga right now who did the Premise even better called Kono Sekai wa Fukanzen Sugiru or Quality Assurance in Another World which is SAO but the MCs are on a Bethesda Game like it is both hilarious af and downright horrifying as hell when it comes to finding and encountering bugs not to mention other players that abuses the game's systems.
This sounds awesome, I gotta check it out.

That's honestly a really interesting (and yeah, in my opinion, a much better) idea for a show. It avoids the odd choice to make the games "power the world" which makes so many weird plot holes by it's self while still including glitches as a big part of the characters problems. Hell, would even make the fact that the characters are super unprofessional but somehow dont get fired for it a lot more believable.
And I'll DEFINITELY have to look into that, that sounds fun as hell! Thanks for the recommendation!

@@SatalineMedia also the manga knows it's audience as the MC will often use the game's buggy mess to exploit the mechanics as much as he can such as stunlocks, area clipping, AI Exploit and etc.

honestly my main problem with alpha betas is that past the pilot it feel like its trying WAAAAAAY too hard to be funny
non of the jokes feel natural at all and everything feels way too forced the jokes feel like it was written by a middle schooler if im honest
also the episodes past the pilot felt like a final season and not a first season which is a major problem

I dont play Pokemon enough to know if that's true or not, but if so, that's actually a pretty cool reference! Probably a big nerd on the art team.

The pilot was enjoyable for me but the later episodes didnt hit the same. Enjoyed the video and Wasnt expecting such a fast response, let alone A response. I only noticed at 18:36 you can see them alot better in your vid. The symbols are A,H,O,G,N,U . I have no idea if theres supposed to be an order to make a word or if im overthinking a little neat easter egg like this.

Though just to keep it short is that they wanted to make this show for fun like how sark did for his show paranormal action squad

They only reviewed the trailer for the pilot and just assumed it was just gonna be some lame slop of a show. And not even knowing who any of the four voice actors are and just assuming their all just some douchebag youtubers who say "bro" alot. That is literally what they think they are

And hey, if this is truly the show they felt like they wanted to make, then I honest to god respect them for that! The beautiful thing about art is that to many people it may be a trashfire, but to the people who made it, it could make sense perfectly to them. A review on a piece of media (especially for Film! To Watch W/ Me) is more like a "this is my perception on the art" rather than "dont watch it. Show bad. Show very bad." I would just be glad they got their true vision out there, despite my thoughts on it.
And I havn't checked out that review - May do later, though I admit that ONLY reviewing the trailer and basing your entire perception on the show on said trailer alone isn't the best sign, and hiding your replies doesn't make it much better.
And to be honest I didn't *need* to do much research on the guys - Like I said in my pinned comment, I've been a VanossGaming viewer for years, ever since I was in highschool, so when it came to the guys I had *lived* through their history. Chris Bruno and David Lee was a different story - I didn't do too much research on them, but I did enough to get a understanding of their work.
Anyway, sorry for the long ass comment, but thank you so much for the kind words on the video!

I like the Vanoss crew, but one of my problems with the show is that it is the Vanoss crew, but animated
Close your eyes and you just hear their normal voices and in the show it gets to the point where it might as well be them since it aligns with their type of humor and how they interact (jokingly or not)
Even if you ignore the video game controllers create energy holes, I watch it and think this is just them animated so why make different characters for them?
while I do agree with you, I think it was either said outright in an interview or just heavily implied that the main four were gonna be something like their voice actors because they were based on them and how they interact, it would probably work if they kept the way they interacted with each other, but in a way were it felt like these were completely different people

When I watched the pilot and a few of the shorts(that I thought were gonna be the episodes) I felt like they needed more understanding of video games let alone a single genre/theme of one. You have Jackass group A being the best with their boss trying to get rid of them with Sweat Lord group B to be less of a migraine to her and seem like her branch isn't as dumb as the average US Military base. That's a good start, now try to have parody MMO games they play in to fix whatever issues are being caused by rouge AI or Bravo team to keep the gaming hamster wheel from stopping with these morons doing the dumbest stuff that somehow works in the end. How you can't work with this when your main 4 characters are voiced by gamers that frequently play with each other boggles my mind in why they didn't alter the characters some more to make each one more interesting instead of following the script as much for how bland they are. And with the existence of Reboot being my favorite cyberspace show it does the video game parody stuff better while having a interesting world outside of the game cubes. Then you got Amazing Digital Circus with the creator Gooseworxs making better stuff than this which understand video games better while having their spin on it.
Agreed. While the voice actors definitely have a thorough understanding of their source material, it's clear the actual writers of the episodes didn't. Which doesn't make any sense to me because the four gamers who have made screaming at one another in GMOD and GTA V are sitting RIGHT THERE. So, just like you said.
And what I love about TADC is it's IN a video game, but it isn't ABOUT video games. Yet you're still right - It manages to show a much better understanding of games because it builds off of them instead of just sitting in the same kiddie pool as them.
You are correct about the animation, which is a little disappointing, lol. All that money would be perfect for animation and staff.
Didn’t watch it but love the crew. I’m perfectly fine with them making a mid show. The tried something new and they aren’t MiniLadd’s so to me everything is fine.
How long did you guys last while watching this before clicking off? I only lasted a minute.
