That's how good Halo is (I'll never say 'was'), it was real to us. Every mission every marine we lost to the Flood, losing Johnson. We went through that as much as Master Chief did because we were and still are him when we grab that controller.
If there was ever a game I’d like to play for the first time again, it would be halo 3. I remember playing halo 2 and when I heard halo 3 was coming out I’ve never been more excited for a game. When I finally brought it home and started it up, I just sat at the menu for like an hour. It was amazing. I hope Infinite brings some of that feeling back!
Halo is just something else. Always has been. I’m so sad so many people have to miss out on the beauty that Halo is. It’s more than just a sci-fi shooter, but anyone who hasn’t played it or really played it more than a select few times in multiplayer just say Halo is cartoon looking garbage for no reason. The stories. The soundtracks. The characters. The games themselves. The atmospheres. The connections we all made with these games. That’s what Halo is. Nothing will ever replace that for any of us. Even to this day. Even if I’ve never spoken to or met any of you, I love you all with a burning passion that can’t be matched by anything other than Halo.
I can't bring myself to play Halo 3 again. I tried so hard but I couldn't, I get too emotional remembering he good ole days playing with family/friends. Also, knowing there's nothing beyond the matchmaking screen anymore is very depressing as it was, at one point, at the peak of video game popularity.

3 was my first the frist two were the perfect prequel, how it all began and then finally the circle was complete. The war may have not been won by any side, but the fight was over! at what cost?
