Love Bruce Springsteen. I’ve listened to his music since I was 15 years old. In the 80’s. Being a young black female in the 80’s listening to the boss.... I took a lot of slack but I’m my own person. This song hits to the heart of a lot of issues we’re having with law enforcement. Don’t get me wrong. I support the men and women in blue, but things gotta change. Peace ✌🏽💜
Good for you. Tragically, as I'm sure you know, a 25 year-old African-American man was murdered in cold blood, in broad daylight, while jogging two miles from his house in Brunswick, Georgia, in January of this year (2020). The incident was made even worse, if that's possible, by the fact that even though the police knew the identity of the killers, one of whom was a 30-year veteran of the local police department, no charges were filed against them for two months when a video of the murder received national attention. Phones with video cameras are generally expensive, and those most likely to be victims of, or observe, police murders, and other misconduct, are also those most likely to not be able to afford an iPhone. We should consider arming everyone, not with a gun, but with a phone capable of shooting video. For every example of the use of excessive force by law enforcement of which we have a video, there are no doubt ten (or a hundred) that go unseen and unpunished. (Refurbished phones capable of recording videos can be purchased for as little as $200, or even less, on GroupOn, eBay, and elsewhere.
Bruce is no racist. Playing bars in 1970 Asbury Park meant rIots and burning down houses. Clarence and Bruce were an unlikely looking duo... but love wins.
Americans need to learn commerce. The cops, attorneys, judges, clerks and courts can do what they do because Americans don't know about commerce as depicted in the Matrix Movies.
I lived in Upstate NY when I heard on tv what happened, it was horrible. Bruce Sprinsteen reacted rapidly with this song, which is fantastic but so sad at the same time. I live now in Spain and from the news, 20 something years later, in the US it is sadly that it happens again. This song should be an anthem everytime that police brutality happens. RIP Amadou Diallo.
This concert and Charlotte are the pinnacle of this song, way better than any version before High Hopes or since, I wish they'd go back to this type of version
This song... Goosebumps galore every time I hear it. Jake Clemons - You are doing your Uncle proud. The Big Man will be looking down on you 🎷😎💯. I seen Bruce and The E Street Band a few years back at the Etihad Stadium, UK 🇬🇧. Not the first Bruce concert I've been to and hopefully not the last. #TheBoss 😎
MAY ALL THOSE WHO HAVE SUFFERED FROM POLICE VIOLENCE REST IN PEACE WE WILL HAVE TO FIGHT YOUR BATTLE FOR JUSTICE . TIME FOR WHITE PEOPLE TO STAND UP & BE COUNTED .
A friend of mine said that he didn't like Bruce because of his politics. I disagree. Politics and conviction are diametrically opposed. His conviction is always evident regardless of public approval. Only you know yourself.
Not murder. Not manslaughter. Not a crime. Not even an employment issue. Nothing. Not worth a mention. Yeah, that'd be better. Think on America. Manslaughter seem to be the best description of what went down. Accident or mistake doesn't fit the bill. They just went back to work as though nothing had happened at all. That poor mother. Justice laid bare. 41 shots. 19 tore him apart. Never happened. Nobody to blame. Swept under a carpet that's bulging up to the ceiling.
I thought just the opposite....I though Morello really added a powerful element to that song.......looks like Bruce was seriously diggin what he was playing.....just my pointless point of view.
at the risk of starting something...I have an honest question...why is it that we never see african american fan on Bruce's shows.....Even in Europe we never see black fans in his shows...so that was my question...I hope every body will stay respectful in their response....Thank you!
I am sorry, but this remake was not nearly as good as the live version from 2000. Having the front members of the E Street Band singing 41 Shots at the beginning of the tune represented a UNITED FRONT by the band. The song was slower and darker. Another example of Bruce fucking up an arrangement like when he turned "Child Bride" into "Working On The Hwy" or when he tried to remake the masterpiece "This Hard Land" during the 1995 Greatest Hits sessions when it should have been the 2nd SINGLE on "Born In The USA."!
Never fails to bring tears to my eyes. Ofc it's probably more so the case because my fam has been affected by the evil he's singing about. But no one should have to experience it to SEE it ALL AROUND us and FIGHT LIKE HELL to END IT! ACAB😢😢

Need to change NOW! 💔

Good for you Tina, peace and lots of respect from Martin in ireland, p.s keep listening to the good music these guy's make👍
When the boss has something to say people should stand still and listen......human kindness overflowing
this had me in tears all day... knowing what's happening and where I stand. It is time to be ONE and demand change... NO more police murders...

Sadly as relevant in May 2020 as it was when Bruce originally recorded the song.
👏👏👏👍👍👍🇨🇭🇨🇭

Outstanding, exceptional, fantastic and glorious guitar solo by Tom Morello.
This song... Goosebumps galore every time I hear it.

you can tell this song is upsetting cause Bruce is sad and you can hear it in his wonderful voice
Yesssssss!
He's more pissed than sad. Rightly so.
Great man.....simple as that... The Boss... THE BEST
Great man, but the best was awarded the Nobel Prize.
Wow thank you ...awesome pure and simple...that guitar solo rocks!!
This is the best version I've seen!
The Boss is the Boss!!!!
He is the Boss, but his influence on music is surpassed by Zimmerman.
Still emotional, love me some Bruce
A song for Today's America
I play this for Charlie, she is only 4 months old and she gets right into it..She probably is the youngest Springsteen fan I know of
That brilliant Morello touch. Magnificent.
Great song.

One of the guitar player looks like Tom Morello.... This song represent what is Bruce Springsteen,. Someone who's fighting for the human rights.
The boss at his best . Kudos.
welch geile Version. Morello gibt der Band noch mal Highend.

Convict Chauvin is heading up river tonight 6/25/21. RIP MR Floyd. Peace out.

I agree with your point of view, i think Morello adds the right energy and anger to the song
I agree! Pleasantly surprised by the ending starting with the different sax part.
I preferred the guitar solo in the studio version of this song.
Who is the guitar player that took the solo?
The first solo
Tom Morello
The 1st solo was Nils Lofgren
at the risk of starting something...I have an honest question...why is it that we never see african american fan on Bruce's shows.....Even in Europe we never see black fans in his shows...so that was my question...I hope every body will stay respectful in their response....Thank you!
Read his book, Born to Run. There you find the answer to your quistion.
Thank you! I just finished the book! Loved it!
I've seen dark-skinned Americans at his shows. BTW, African-American is a commercial term for property. The wise don't use it.
My wife was at his concert in Philadelphia.
For years there was always one brotha at the show. He passed tho. RIP The Big Man.

Mr.Tom Morello...
Tamir Rice.
still wondering what was Bruce drinking when he asked Morello to join the tour
Being polite still doesn't work ... suicide by police .. Im in Australia lost my husband of 22 years father to our 2...

Giustizia per George Floyd...
Morello ruins it.
Yea, kinda mutes the question.
21 stars boss you are a powerful sing an all of the band
Eh, not!
