I was born and raised in Piemonte and we have carte piemontesi which in the pips looked considerably similar to the pips from the Marseilles, and admitedly in early 1800s my village was France 😅. I finally gave in to an Italian deck recently because I remember it being used by csrtomancers during my childhood, called Mazzo Cartomanzia 184 indieed by Modiani as well!!! It's so weird the amount of memories it unlocks!!!

Was born and raised in Tuscany and we usually had Napoletane. It's also probably because my specific city has a lot of internal immigrants from Napoli.

I haven’t thought about scopa cards in years! It’s like a fever dream - my old sleepaway camp counselor had just moved here from Italy and taught us all how to play scopa - I spent a good 2 weeks learning how to play and then came home and everyone was like “that doesn’t exist? what are you talking about?” 😭😂
Thank you so much for such a fun video!

My favourite Italian playing card deck is the trevigiane. All the aces have proverbs written on them and I think the design is just beautiful

Ahhhh briscola used to be a favorite dopo cena past time. I’ve misplaced my cards from Emilia Romagna and no longer live even close to locally to Italia. One day I’ll return and bring home another deck of cards!

it’s so wonderful (and cute!) to see you so passionate about regional playing cards! i’m from padova (st. anthony’s city) so here we usually play with vicentine or trevigiane cards. have you ever tried playing briscola or bisca, along with scopa? i think you’d enjoy those games with friends ☺️ this was a really nice videos to watch - again, love to see you so interested in this topic. much love from veneto

No actually I felt that storytelling part. When I do tarot sometimes I’ll pull 2 cards and I’m like “what??? What does that mean???” And then I pull my third and it puts the other two into context

Hi! I have Scopa cards and use the Tarot meanings to read with them. It would be AWESOME to learn a different more traditional method!

I found ur spotify and I have two band recommendations for you: the amazing devil and black brair. The amazing devil is a folk band and black brair is gothic rock that mixes elements of opera and classical music that sings about women's issues through the lense of Celtics and Northern European folklore
