Hi, I have a problem! I urgently need to choose a graphics tablet (for work). The old Xp-pen G640 star is broken. I think I'll take the Xp-Pen Deco fun S, but I'm afraid it's too thick and it will be hard to get used to (considering that my tablet is always located to the right of the laptop, and not directly in front of it). What do you think, which one is better to choose? Or order the same one (which is very thin)?
for xpen= Were the other nibs in packets working fine? because i heard that so many of them got broke or were not actually good or long lasting? can you please let me know your view on this, how was your experience?
XP Pen really bumped up their prices in Europe unfortunately. One by Wacom is now slightly cheaper (40 euros for medium, 30 euros for small) so I went for the Wacom
I bought the XP Pen deco MW as my first ever tablet. Trying to use it with note taking apps. Very disappointed with the software control and driver application. All kinds of bugs and limitations. Can’t imagine Wacom is that limited. It looks like their software team is one single junior new grad.

Yes I did test all my pen tablets with an Android phone including one by wacom ctl472.. It’s not compatible. But other Android phones accdg to one of the comments -it is-but doesnt look pleasing.. You can check this link and see of it helps^^ czcams.com/video/druDiYrQHpA/video.html

Thanks! umm I guess you should consider the OS compatibility first.. both xppen and wacom are 2 of the top brands.. You can also consider the latest tech features which are the pressure sensitivity (8192 levels) and pen resolution (5080 lpi).. and last one is the price.. :) wacom is on a pricey side, xppen and Ugee are cheaper and Huion has the most affordable ones..

Hi.. if it’s for the purpose of teaching and not drawing, any will do.. but you can consider the price and tech specs and OS compatibility before buying.. Wacom is on the pricier side next is xppen- Ugee and Huion is the cheapest.. (Personally I would recommend xppen or Ugee if you’re purpose is teaching^^)

One of the most important tests to compare tablets is to draw a slow line with a ruler and see if it wobbles or jitters because some people draw slow lines and bad pens cause them to wobble. You missed the whole point of comparison. Also one of the other great test is to test fast parallel lines test. Like fast line shading because a lot of cheap tablets will make the ends of the lines look like shoe lace ends and that is not desirable

Based on the sensitivity specifications, XP-PEN has pressure sens. 8192 + pen resol. 5060lpi, while One by Wacom has pressure sens. 2048 + pen resol 2540lpi, but in the end you said that the Wacom's pen feels more RESPONSIVE, what do you mean by that?
A lot of designers go with Wacom, but based on my experience, the pen performance of both brands are great.. XP-Pen is just a bit more affordable than Wacom..
My main purpose of this pen pad is to take notes ...which one do you prefer wacom or huion 420 or the xp one ...which one lasts for a long time and easy to use ....also love the video !!
Really depends on your preference.. both brands are top brands but you might want to consider the OS compatibility, the pricing and the technical features..
I like both tbh.. But for higher resolution of your drawings, I’ll go with XP-Pen Deco Fun since wacom ctl472 has lower pen resolution and pressure sensitivity..

@@encapsulatio actually it is the case , deco fun has actually 3 models deco fun xs s and l ,specification is literally the same (I mean the pen the tilt and sensitivity) they differ only with size . I own the deco fun s , actually this is my first graphics tab ever so I was not so sure if it is good or not so picked the s one . So long story short all 3 are same except size and no buttons in all 3 deco fun.
As an anime fan you can only get wacom tablets. Xp Pen has become a Chinese company, while Wacom are still headquartered in Japan. That's probably a reason why all anime/manga artists are using wacom.

@@nidhi6306 ofcourse the nib is loose for better flexibility and tilting. Otherwise you will not be able to use it. For me it's going great 👍

Both wacom and xppen are great graphics tablets but deco fun S has higher pen resolution and pressure sensitivity than One by Wacom..
