- My Thunderbird 500 gets new exhaust the offroad silencer from royal enfield.
This exhaust is made for thunderbird 350 and 500 and sold at all royal enfield showrooms/service centers.
This exhaust has been approved by royal enfield and check the videl for exhaust note, comparison to stock exhaust sound.

I have installed offroad silencer from royal enfield to my TB350. I see first 20 KM's the pick-up is too low, but later on it was really nice. Mileage comes around 33kmpl in Hyderabad city drive with out getting my bike serviced for more than 4000KM. This was a nice silencer to my opinion. One important thing I noticed is vibrations got reduced with this new addition.

Abhishek Ma hey nice congrats...no i didnt face any issues except one, if you are riding with a pillion just ask him to make sure he dosent resta his shoes/leg on the exhaust.....it will melt down his shoe and leave a mark on your exhaust.

Is there any weight difference between offroad and stock silencer?
Secondly, how is the initial torque, is it responsive or sluggish
Thirdly, is it a free flow or with a catalytic converter?
Planning to change my exhaust on my TB 350, sounds great as I dont like loud exhausts. But stuck with these questions, Do reply. ☺
+anirudh kamboj offroad silencer is lighter in weight compared to stock sielncer.
This exhaust is good for city riding and also for short rides like 200-300kms.
It is not fully free flow, im not sure about catalytic converter being present on it.
It is neither too loud nor very silent but has good bass and thump, i suggest you should give it a try if you dont like v loud exhausts..
I am using long bottle Punjab in TB 350. Dug dug is awesome..

I am Owning TB350 BS4. My bike is Just 2 month old.
I want to change the stock silencer in my TB350. I have the following quires,
1. Was the off road silencer length was as like the stock silencer or shorter than the stock silencer?
2. Did you faced any mileage issue after fixing the off road silencer? Now iam getting 33KMPL purely on city(Town) ride only.
3. by NOV 2nd i am going for 2nd service. i planned to fix off road silencer. IS there any Issues you noticed Bro with the off road silencer?

its ok but sound-wise wild boar and dolphin silencer is the best
+aron john agreed there are other exhausts with more sound but this is the only one which comes from factory and not very loud.
bro i have istalled it on my tb500 but a little air is coming from the joint at which silencer is attached....is it normal?

Hi, I have TB 350. I am also not satisfied with default stock exhaust. Felt like some kind of limitation on engine and on the run. I don't need much louder exhaust. Need decent one with good thump. Since i do long highway trips often, If i have louder exhaust then it get annoying in long trips right ?... Therefore planing for this off road exhaust the same you got. Please let me know will it full fill my requirement. If yes then does it make any impact on mileage ?? ( Getting 45km/l with stock exhaust) . I have heard if we change exhaust then mileage get decrees. Please advice me !!
Dinku Malviya hi dinku, as per what u r saying this exhaust ticks all the right boxes for you.....coming to mostly highway experience i say stock exhaust will be best for highways in my personal opinion.
this exhaust is also good also it comes from Royal Enfield.....but i myself had planned to change to stock exhaust if iam going on a ride more than 1000kms ride....
its a very good exhaust and i do advice to try this out as its not very loud bit has good thump and it will solve u r issue of feeling limitations...

Does this exhaust have any impact on the mileage? that's my main concern?I am planning to change thesilencer for my bike but do not want to go in for an after market exhaust. Since this is one manufactured by Royal Enfield , hope this will not have any affect on the mileage. i am looking for an exhaust which has decent thump and not too loud and thunderous but at the same time makes you realise of the presence of the bike in terms of sound.
+Rahul Sharma i had exactly same concerns and priorities as u have and i can say this exhaust had been the perfect sollution for me.
Its not very expensive, its sold by RE with part number, it ia not loud, it has decent thump and it has not affected my mileage much. I havent done a mileage test on it but i can say i didnt feel any change in mileage.

red rooster causes backfire...which affects engine...
+Breslin Joshua in that case i have never faced backfire or popping sounds from exhaust... this exhaust is not very loud, it is more subtle bit provides better sound than stock exhaust..

MilesToExplore use the old clamp from stock silencer then... or use some metal gaskets ur mechanic will know how to do it.
Travel with Khan There is a metal ring sort of thing in the stock silencer.same thing I should also use in this new one.then ok only it will fit properly.Mechanic told it's going to be a huge task...Lets see
it didnt took me more than 5 mins to get it done, and i usually change between stock exhaust and this after market exhaust at home by myself with no issues....

Sir, it's me. I've searched everywhere, but I couldn't find tb 500 stock silencer bs3. I've talked to the royal Enfield service center, and they said that they are not selling thunderbird silencer because the production has been stopped. I've also searched in aftermarket stores bt still couldn't find it. 😭😭😭😭😭.
