Can you also make "Expensive watch that looks affordable" :D
Ibrahim Gema for me it's Richard Mille, I know they cost gazillions but they always look like a toy to me.
ahaha, can't remember exactly, but I've seen those)) would be fun.
Some Panerai watches look like $500 to $1000, and all the Richard Mille with no carbon fiber.
Nomos😂 they go for like 2k but they generally dont look like it because the dials and hands are so simply
okkkkkkkk:)
Saw on the group that you are becoming a full time CZcamsr! Happy to hear and so looking forward to more content. Cheers, Teddy!
Teddy, make a video about watches that don't "look expensive", but refined, like an understatement under the radar, so that only people who are into watches would appreciate it?
That would definitely be interesting to see
Seiko SNZJ17 comes to mind; it looks like a Rolex Submariner to people to don't know watches but anyone who is into watches will appreciate it for what it is: an affordable, quality automatic watch
The Tissot LeLocle is a really polished piece and the Powermatic 80 movement is superb. 80 hours power reserve without a crazy price tag.
Great selection of solid watches, Teddy! Happy to see the mention of the Retrograph watch alongside some true classics. Keep up the amazing work.
I own a Tissot Le Locle and I chose it over the Visodate because it definetely looks more elegant. I also love the quality especially the detail on the dial. I really recommend this watch and Tissot as a brand.
Another great list! As a newer enthusiast I find these affordable lists very helpful.
This is always a great topic. So many watches to name!! The Tissot has always been a favorite of mine, super great quality.
I'm happy to say I just bought the Le Locle! Not so happy about the price, had to pay 892 dollars for it here in Brazil, but given the transport fees and taxes, it wasn't too bad. Still, I absolutely love this watch, will pair up nicely with the suits I wear daily. Thank you very much for the tips Teddy, you were fundamental in this first watch purchase.
My favorites in this video were:
- Seiko SNLK43
- Richard Le Grand
- Brew
Very good picks. That Brew looks fantastic.
I've seen other people make videos about watches, but Teddy probably has the best grasp on what people want to know and see!
I have a Tissot Le Locle, is the perfect dress watch for my style. Congratulations for the video and greetings from Argentina!!!
Bought the tissot le locle with a black leather strap a few months back. The build quality is amazing, feels very good, and looks beautiful. It's hard to do better than a le locle at that price point.
I’ve been looking at your watch straps and will be placing an order soon. Good work!
Great video. Excellent choice of watches. I didn't know Brew brand before. However, it's a pity they are not automatic in this price range..
And I'm glad you have mentioned Tissot Le Locle. I am looking for a dress watch now and it is the best option I have found so far (the one with white dial, on the black strap)
Great video! The Tissot has great horological history, and, thanks to smart and careful marketing, has real prestige, and definitely gives the impression that it is quite expensive. It really does look more pricey than it is... It’s a great pic for this video. Thank you for a great video!
Congrats on your decision to follow your dreams, Teddy! Another good video. Btw, I think you have some specks of dust on your sensor.
I bought a seiko 5 around 9 years ago, I been using it non stop and it still looks new, and people praise it everywhere I go.
That Brew Retrograph is very intriguing. Reminds me of the Seiko 7016.
Agree. that Brew watch looks really good.
Great list, Teddy! Please keep adding to this topic!
I knew you were gonna say Seagull 1963! Glad to see the LeLocle ! I bought a LeLocle 6 years ago after I fell in love with its guilloche and the LeLocle font and the stunning caseback
I used Tissot for several years and I still admire the look and quality. I think Tissot is a good option if you’re looking for high quality watch at a fair price.
The Seiko SNK789 I bought a couple of days ago is all thanks to you. Such an amazing watch, I'm in love with it. The red second hand is something that you don't see a lot and gives it a ton of personality. In pictures the watch doesn't look "expensive", maybe it's because the shape of the case, not as round as the SNXS79, but let me tell you that in person the SNK789 gains so much. There's something very interesting about it that makes it stand out among all the Seiko 5 line. Definitely worth a mention in this type of videos.
Great video!
The Brew and TIssot were beautiful, something never seen or heard much about (Brew). Orient has some great products for the price and quality, needed a dress watch, so got myself an orient bambino anthracite. A bit cheaper than many mentioned, but if I was to do it again, and new about it as well as review here, would have ordered one of the Brews.
I really like your content and delivery. I learned some stuff here and found it interesting/entertaining.
Great video. I like the shortened introduction in this one.
omg that tissot le locle is beautiful. And that vintage vibe Richard Le Grand Odyssey as well.
That Brew Retrograph watch looks awesome, I didn't know this brand before. thanks!
Teddy, could you do a video on best square/rectangular case watches and also maybe best all black in color watches? Thanks
Love the Tissot. Great video 👍🏾
Dude i could watch these videos for hours. Primarily cuz I have.
I love the combination of aesthics, cost, and craftsmanship you touch on, and was curious as to if theres a way to find them. Ive been gettin into watches recently and your vids have helped me a helluva lot, so i was wondering if you had any advice/could make a vid on how to watch shop at estate sales, flea markets, antique shops??
Keep up the awesome vids!
Just steal them. Sometimes you hit the jackpot and get someone that's loaded
That Le Locle, man, it's absolutely perfect. Now I'm not sure if I'll go for that or the Seiko Sarx045
I agree it's my favourite Tissot model.
When you can't afford the 'cheap' watches.
We the 96 percent
hey man, look up for Lorus watches, you will surely be able to afford them and they're beautiful and well made :>
Maybe "affordable" means that we can afford them. Even if some savings are required.
I have the Tissot Le Locle. It’s a really well finished watch and looks great either on leather or a dark NATO. It also has the same movement as my Chr Ward Trident Pro, which cost over twice as much.
Should receive my Le Locle tomorrow ! I am sure it will rock indeed, it looks gorgeous. I already really like the Richard Legrand
Teddy's channel has become my new CZcams obsession to binge.
You make great videos Teddy. All the information on some great watches that won't break the bank.
I collect watches that won't max out my credit card and just happen to be watches I like owning.
Thank you my friend! Always happy to help haha :)
Wow, I'm surprised to find the SNKL41 mentioned. So underated!
Looking to start my watch collection, video was helpful
Another point of interest when it comes to the Seagull 1963, is that the movement is a column wheel chronograph movement. A really great value for $250-$400 bucks.
Great video.
I love the Le Locle! Both black and white look phenomenal !
I own both the seagull and the Tissot le locle (with the black dial) and I can honestly say they're both brilliant watches. Le locle especially gets alot more compliments than even my more expensive watches because it looks alot more impressive than its price would let on.
The Tissot is a grail watch for me. Teddy another great video! Thanks!
Love this series, keep going 👍
There still material for more videos on this topic in the future, let it rest for a wile! Very good information, keep the good work!
I recommend the Junkers Bauhaus 6060-5. This watch is a must to see in person. The huge domed hesalite case make the watch really elegant.
Lovely experience hearing Tedd.
Hey Teddy, I know you put the watch model on screen, but do you think you could include them in the description in the future?
I think he doesn't do this because if he put the watch models in the description the people will directly go to see the models and not the video.
The Tissot is very elegant and stands out. Great review.
The SNXS79K is probably the best looking Seiko 5 out there, after watching couple of videos I am thinking of getting one myself. Love your vid!
Just bought a Brew Retrograph Copper. Didn’t think I’d go for this design but something drew me to it so I hope I like it on my wrist as well when I get it. I also hope that if I hold onto it for a long time it will be worth a little something in the future.
tha brew retrograph was super nice, never heard of it until this video, might pick it up myself
Yes, Richard LeGrand is an amazing watch! I have had mine for 6 months now and love its sun burst blue dial. Very high quality with a decent price tag, and non-homage.
The Tissot Le Locle is such a wonderful watch!
Fantastic ,, Teddy, Ibam gonna buy this La lacle TISSOT. I loved TISSOT Watches.
Thanks Teddy...great job
i love this series so much !!!!!!!!
Enjoyed the video mate!
Great choices. I love that Richard Legrand watch as well as the Orient..... A lot of watch for the money!
Facebook group has been fun... glad I joined.
I like all your videos, and the last video about Clocks in space I liked; Could you make a video about modern watches in space like the Fortis cosmonaut B42? ..
That Tissot is beautiful...the detail on that dial is awesome 💯 great vid as always my man!
Demetrios Levi Agree agree
Look even better in person imo. Very overlooked watch from them given the hype of other models.
Lookwise Tissot are worst orient is good alternative for tissot
@@bandidas5556 I think that's more personal taste than anything
I loved the Tissot in photos and decided to visit the Tissot AD to purchase. But I noticed that the numerals were embossed and not in an agreeable way. It does look nice from a distance, but it's not something I could live with looking at everyday for me. The case back is definite winner though, and I wish more companies would take that approach to the case back design.
I have Seiko SNK789, great affordable watch
That LeGrande is an amazing looking watch and absolutely ticks off the value boxes like crazy. The Orient divers are just such high value and are a better speced watch than the SKX. I have mine on a Super endlink bracelet, it jumps the expensive feel and look to an ever greater level. All the watches you mentioned are excellent. Great job
Thanks for your review of these beautiful watches, especially the Seiko 5s, pretty sure many MVMT fans would change their mind.
I think about the Orient Oyster, but also the Bulova Precisionist 96B144, the Seiko SSC139 and the Corgeut in bronze.
Teddy another great video.....👏👏
By the way I want to know about Guanqin watch brand, not much is it good or bad & it's worthy to buy or not like that.
You mentioned the le locle, Yay!
The SNKL41 is a stunning Seiko 5 and the next on my list to buy!
I bought the Tissot Le Locle with dark dial. It looks different depending on the type of light. Also keeps time very well.
Downsides, it's a bit clunky… and the Powermatic 80 has a 3 Hz rate, so not as smooth swiping as it's predecessor.
I do like the old fashioned lettering. I found it when I was looking for something like the Omega De Ville.
As always, very good video. I was pleased to see the Richard LeGrand mentioned in this list. I got the blue no date version before Christmas, and have a hard time taking it off my wrist. It's a beautiful watch with terrific specs. It's my official dress diver.
Steve Townsend That’s good to know. Do you have your Richard LeGrand on a strap or on a bracelet?
Do you think is comes a good quality brand that may live longs for years?
I can't believe it took you so long to mention the Tissot. It's been one of my favorites for a long time now.
Yes. The Tissot with roman numerals and guilloche dial was my favourite watch until i found a quartz equivalent that sells for $10. China brand SKMEI.
He NEVER mentions citizen or casio of ANY variety.
I‘d really lile to see a video about „affordable“ watches in precious metals, that look really smart. It‘s all a little to sporty for me in this video
I wear a watch you may never heard of...the Barbos Robur. Just love the ruggedness and the extreme size of it. Runs on a Miyota movement aand is very affordable
Nice and very informative.
My next watch is going to be the Tissot Le Locle. It looks so good and been watching those for a while now.
Absolutely love my SNXS79. The dial is glorious, constantly shimmering in the light, the loom pops -always gives me a little thrill when I catch it glimmering back at me.
Do yourself a favour...get one. (Change the bracelet though, it's a clanger)
Wow. I owned a snk793. The blue dial is amazing
I feel like I'm rambling endlessly with this, but I definitely believe they're worth a shout out. If you like that Seagull Chronograph movement but would like something more sharp looking than the 1963, go for the EMG DL63 Chronograph: 350$ USD, stunning panda (or reverse panda if you prefer) dial and see through case back. I got mine's for Xmas and I'm just loving it!
i would appreciate video about radio controlled watches. Btw awesome vid
Love the videos. Came here to hear your take on the Brew. I love it but am somewhat worried about the brand name sounding tacky. Maybe that's shallow. I know it's nothing too fancy, but aesthetically I think it's one of the best be looking watches at any price point. Oh, and I'm down in Akron so not too far!
I had a Tissot LeLocle for almost 2years and I eventually sold it because it was to big for my wrist. Yet for the price range I think it's the best Swiss dress watch at that price point. I hope the person I sold it to is happy with it.
Interesting! What's your wrist size?
I'm concerned that I'd have the same issue...
Love you vid mate, you'll need some help with brand/model pronunciations tho. I had fun when you said 'Le Locle' :D
I've owned two Certina DS1. If you catch Ashford on a special, you can get both the powermatic or the ddtandard ETA 2824 for under 400. Great pedigree if you know a little bit about the Himalayas and the DS concept
Hey Teddy! How about making a video on the Orient "Sun and Moon Open Heart"? I'm considering to get this watch but I wanna know more about this watch first. It doesn't seem to be a popular watch amongst watch reviewers on CZcams as this watch does not get many mentions on CZcams. Cheers!
Best regards,
A fellow subscriber
That Brew watch was cool.
I have a model similar to SNXS79, the SNKK09, and I have to tell you: affordable and good looking indeed.
Definitely the SNXS79K. Unboxed, reviewed, featured and modded - this is the star of my collection when it comes to watches that look more expensive than they actually are. That mod looks the business 😍 cheers 🥂
Modded? Have a video ?
Yes, check it out: it's on my channel - I can't post a link as most times, they end up in CZcams spam comments ;) you can alternatively search for "snxs79k mod" in CZcams. Cheers!
Just by the markers, it really reminds me of the SLA017
If only the day-date window had a black background (stock)
The Slender Wrist
Have a simular SNK and they look better in real life on a new strap, very understated.
I would add the Citizen promaster and not matter what anybody says the Invicta pro divers looks awesome for the price they just cant be beat!
Everyones talking about Brew but just look at that tissot man. Absolutely gorgeous
I'd fancy the Tissot LeLocle! Looks classy and #cmiiw the LeLocle line beat FP Journe and won the Concours International de Chronometrie competition in 2012
Ordered some days ago the tissot le locle, can't wait to hold it in my hands
I'm getting mine next week. 80 hour power reserve... take my money
I have the SNXS79 as daily watch and get complements on it all the time.
Just did some research and according to caliber corner the Powerpatic80 is a Tissot movement, but based on an ETA movement.
Please make part 3!!
First, I love this channel. Keep up the good work.
Having said that, I’m tired of all the Seiko love. CZcams is over saturated with Seiko content.
Finally, the Seagull 1963 you showed for $300ish is the “official” version. It has an acrylic crystal and a solid case back. The knockoff version is better at $167 and has a sea through case back with sapphire crystals front and back. You want to see that amazing movement.
Funny I came across this video, I was just eyeing that Tissot Le locle that is pictured, there is also a blue Tissot Powermatic 80 that looks similar to those Seikos in the beginning (very reminiscent of an Omega Aqua Terra or Rolex Perpetual) and around 500-800. Maybe I'm too big of a fan of Tissot but they fill a nice niche between high horology and cheaper Seiko, Citizen, Orient watches.
I own a Snkl45 on a black leather strap. Looks great for its price.
Love your channel Teddy. Could you please add English subtitle for your next videos?
