Hey Nick, I think they had the rainbow flag because Nashctmaket is the gay neighbourhood of Wien. Also it is June, which in the northern hemisphere is considered pride month. I love Vienna and will go back this year also. Immensely liveable and fascinating town. Love to see it's still as eccentric as ever.
i wonder why some things are cute and other similar things are seen as mawkishly saccharine or even repulsive. is it merely context or is there some "golden ratio" for the dimensions of cuteness?
Cute = infant = infantile = dumbed down = culturally decadent. I tend to the violence towards cute characters end of the spectrum due to this associative trend in the post-postmodern era! Though I harbour no violent feelings towards actual infants, I hasten to add!
