Elounda: Boat Trip to Spinalonga Island, Walking Tour through Epano Elounda

August 2021:
We rent a boat and take a little jaunt to Spinalonga Island, Elounda.
The former leprosy colony is a real tourist magnet and can of course also be visited with public ships ...
The next day, after an enchanting sunrise, I go to Epano Elounda.
The traditional village is much quieter, still typically Greek and spared from large crowds.
Especially now in the high season there are far too many tourists for us and combined with the heat, the most beautiful is the morning.
A walk by the sea, with the beaches almost empty in the morning, is a good start to the day 😊
