Everyone says "it wasn't the best song 🇺🇦", but what does even "the best song" mean? Moldova was the second best by televoting at the same time jury gave them minimal score. If anything, televoting is less biased than jury's voting. Again, Moldova performed a folk song, as well as the winner. Maybe everyone just has to realize that televoting almost always won't match jury's opinion. And people really like folk music))
Same story last year when the comment section went furious about Italy winning the song contest with a rock song. Eurovision is all about uniting people with music. There is a too large audience that have difficulties in accepting that and that is sad. We can't have glitter all the time... Last year we wanted rock music, this year we wanted this folk music... That is the charm with this event! Unfortunately, a lot of people will always be pessimists. The televoters will always give us the truth and the taste may vary from year to year.

I absolutely love it every time I see an American being newly exposed to Eurovision. It is a wonderful institution. It gave us ABBA. It was created in the aftermath of WWII to promote peace and cooperation in Europe. That's why when Russia invaded Ukraine, Russia was kicked out of the contest. 🥰🇺🇦
Please continue learning more about Eurovision, its history and its culture. It's worth it, I promise. We Europeans are very proud of Eurovision and we love sharing it with people. It is like the European music Olympics, I swear. 😂 But also has a very jokey, campy element to it! The pink hat guy is not just a great rapper but hearing this press conference I understand that he is really smart
for me Kalush deserve to win, they sing their song in their native language yet its still understandable for me even I live half across the world, the message of the music is there, the creativity of mixing traditional and modern hip-hop music makes it more even unique and the composition is dedicated to his mother is just hearth warming not to mention it become more relevant in their nation got invaded which are their motherland and they're the only rap music in the entirety of the competition. what I like the most is that they had made the music to have a substance and meaning that everyone can relate, a love of a mother. glory to Ukraine
Most people seem to ignore the fact that this victory is a signal from all Europe supporting Ukraine. Europe won as a whole. That is the message behind the Eurovision.

It's a logical question with all the present facts and analysis of the situation taken into consideration.
But I guess, when Poland take over the Western part of Ukraine which was historically Polish - they will hold Eurovision Song Contest in Lviv ( Lvov)
It's the same question they would ask if Australia would have one. It's a legitimate question regarding the EBU will start working on it from today on. It would only be fair if the runner-up would help ukrainians to host the esc. I think ukrainians are very much aware of their situation and are probably curious to know themselves.

Well ... I'm a real fan of this song (and the band right now) not because of the conflict behind my country's back, but because of this fucking amazing energy and vibration. From the beginning of Eurovision 2022, I knew that they would be at the "top of the top" in ranking. This song is just a MASTERPIECE and this show ... pls. And I know you all love Sam Ryder. The judges were way off with the UK as a winner anyway. It was agood song but not that good and not memorable enough. There were so many great performances that had both prestige and were memorable. I understand that some judges miss David Bowie but this won't bring him back, and he isn't the pinnicle of a classic emotional expression. He was a reformist. They meant something because of the context of his time, which we are greatful for and apprechiate. But that doesn't make anything Bowie-esque automatically musically superior or moving.

I mean, it’s safe to assume that everyone who is pissed about Ukraine winning hasn’t voted for them, which is most Eurovision fans, and most non-fans have voted for Ukraine out of sympathy. Песня классная вполне достойная победы. Я думаю что все те кто недоволен победой Украины просто пропитаны пропагандой против друг друга. Если не политизировать этот конкурс и не смотреть на то что это Украина а смотреть на артиста на музыку, номер. То победа вполне оправдана. Ребята молодцы я рад за них. Я помню каждый раз когда смотрел этот конкурс всегда поддерживал и наших Российских исполнителей и Украинских и Белорусских. И ведь все были такими...
