Nice video but it's overkill, you only have to loosen the 2 screws furthest away from the arm to allow the new replacement part to pop in. You can still lube if needed from the outside.
Ok thanks, I just ordered one. For me your video stopped just short of complete. It doesn't show how the mechanism goes back in. Just it just shove back in there? Thanks for your help and I think that pretty cool you make them with a 3D printer. :)
Just my luck I can't even get it out. I've watched you and one other person on YT just a moderate pressure on rearward side and it pops loose. Mine only presses in about 1/3 inch and stops. I even got used the back end (plastic) of a cutter and struck against it but it doesn't want to move past that point and I don't want to break it. Any suggestions?
Used the 'removal method' ended up with a cup holder loose stuck in the console, after fishing for it for 15 mins, i pulled it out, breaking the damper off. Thanks &%^##**
