Salag Varali Todi and Bairagi Todi Similarities and differences

These Two Raagas have Poorvang Todi Ang as common. Both have Rishabh, Gandhar and Nishad as Komal Swaras and Madhyam as varjya Swar. The Raag Salag Varali Todi has Shuddha Dhaivat and Shadhav-Shadhav Jati, while that is varjya in Raag Bairagi Todi with Audhav-Audhav jati. Due to this, both Raagas are different. The Uttarang part of Bairagi Todi is that of Raag Bairagi or Bairagi Bhairav (P n S' r' ) while the Uttarang part of Salag Varali Todi is of Aheer Bhairav (P D n S' - D n r' S' ). The demonstration of both the Raagas are provided here for the benefit of viewers. The swar combination of Salag Varali Todi (D n S' r' g' - g' r' n D - D n r' S' ) looks like that of Raag Parmeshwari.
