It’s a real problem, their circulation gets cut off and then their feet go numb and that’s most likely what happened here. Imagine if your legs or feet fell “asleep.” That’s why she still stumbles a little bit after she took the shoes off. Those heels fuck with their feet so much at shows.
@@ClarkyWarkyeing a runway model is very difficult because the stylists don’t always care about their sizes. They just need a model with a long and rectangular body shape so the clothes fit. That’s it. It’s bound for mistakes to happen, and if the stylists don’t consider giving a model different shoes it’s going to be the MODELS fault for falling so it’s very stressful. Idk if I’m correct but I’m pretty sure stylists don’t really care about shoes and just the clothes.

She didn’t shatter her ankle. She wouldn’t have been able to get up and continue walking without screaming in pain. She just couldn’t walk properly because of how long she’s been wearing those heels and how difficult it was for her to walk in them in the first place. Her feet were just adjusting.

Oh my God I can feel the models anger and emotions through my own body. The look of disgust, disappointment, anger, and embarrassment on her face said it all. I feel bad for most of these models, bc it’s not an easy job as you can see. Most of them don’t get paid enough. Sometimes they don’t even get paid at all for some of the modeling gigs that they do (according to interviews I’ve seen from the modeling industry). But I understand that a lot of them still love modeling bc they have a passion for it and it fits their beauty features that they have. I mean, there are pros and cons to everything, basically.

for those who don't know the model wears dresses not in their size sometimes yes but some need the designer to put pins so that the outfit holds, the shoes are never the right size except if the models are lucky, often they put thoughts if it's too small or cotton if it's too big but just imagine your foot squeezed into a shoe that they impose on you
Don’t get this wrong but the heels are always oversized, never the right size let alone, it’s up to the model to learn how to catwalk on her toes, that’s what we learn from the right companies, if they walk on the heel of their feet this happens, don’t blame the designer, blame the model manager/runway director

Thank you to everyone that got up to help her. I feel so bad for her and she had the look of frustration that tells me (besides it being painful) that she knew this was going to happen and maybe she even tried warning the designer as well. I hope she got her ankles checked out afterwards because falling like that in those heels can do some serious damage.

@@TimoteoDeBaum I think they do initially love modeling because on the surface it’s easy, they are often born with the body, height, and socially acceptable appearance to be a model (it’s probably the most shallow part of the industry). But then reality sets in and they realize that the work it takes is actually the ability to withstand abuse and adopt an eating disorder (but they wasted their teens and 20s without developing skills outside of the modeling industry which is funny considering many of them have bachelors and masters in real degrees)

@@Princesstennis1964 it's the sizing. Giving models the wrong size- too big and too small both happen- has been a problem in the industry for years, unfortunately.
I think the dress might’ve exacerbated the problem. She could stride normally bc it was so tight at the bottom.

Oh my God I can feel the models anger and emotions through my own body. The look of disgust, disappointment, anger, and embarrassment on her face said it all. Even the way she walked out she was DONE. Her face was saying "yep. Its over. I'm never getting hired again." But I hope she knows this has happened to just about every model ever. It happens. She will be ok. She is very pretty btw.

It’s Kristen McMenamy, at 58 years old she’s in no danger of ruining her career, she’s already accomplished everything most models hope for and is still one of the longest reigning supermodels active in the industry. I think she’s just for the most part having fun, making the most of whatever opportunities she wants to.

I feel bad for most of these models, bc it’s not an easy job as you can see. Most of them don’t get paid enough. Sometimes they don’t even get paid at all for some of the modeling gigs that they do (according to interviews I’ve seen from the modeling industry). But I understand that a lot of them still love modeling bc they have a passion for it and it fits their beauty features that they have. I mean, there are pros and cons to everything, basically.

for those who don't know the model wears dresses not in their size sometimes yes but some need the designer to put pins so that the outfit holds, the shoes are never the right size except if the models are lucky, often they put thoughts if it's too small or cotton if it's too big but just imagine your foot squeezed into a shoe that they impose on you

Thank you to everyone that got up to help her. I feel so bad for her and she had the look of frustration that tells me (besides it being painful) that she knew this was going to happen and maybe she even tried warning the designer as well. I hope she got her ankles checked out afterwards because falling like that in those heels can do some serious damage.

I definitely think she injured herself to some degree because even when she took them off she was walking as if she might have. I remember I had on high heels one night and my right ankle and foot bent inward and omg! It hurt but it didn't feel sprung or broken so I thought I was fine. I honestly didn't realize how much damage it did until later in life.

@@TimoteoDeBaum I think they do initially love modeling because on the surface it’s easy, they are often born with the body, height, and socially acceptable appearance to be a model (it’s probably the most shallow part of the industry). But then reality sets in and they realize that the work it takes is actually the ability to withstand abuse and adopt an eating disorder (but they wasted their teens and 20s without developing skills outside of the modeling industry which is funny considering many of them have bachelors and masters in real degrees)
