    Just a note. You don't need thread sealant on the hose. The seal is the ground joint on the inside, not the threads. The cone on the hose matches the bevel on the adapter.

    Excellent review, it's not noisy, but I wouldn't say it's overly quiet? I'm using a SilAir 15e by Werther of Italy for the last 30 years. It's extremely quiet compared to this unit, I think around 30db's noise level...

      Thank you for your comment and appreciate the feedback, it serves me well in my classes , I am still able to teach and the compressors can run and it doesn’t interfere with the class, that said I have never used a SilAir but have heard that they are great 👍🏻🙏🏻

    Nice review, in our videos we use the same compressor. I like the one you’re showing because it seems that they have done some upgrades... the new knobs.. and the air gauges on top instead than under. It truly is a good compressor. Thanks for your nice videos 👍🏼

      No probs and thanks for your comment , no upgrades it’s just the newer version we had both the older style (the one you prob have) and the newer one shipped and decided to review the updated version , they are a great unit 👍🏼

    Just bought one of these. Great video. Wish I had seen it before I made the purchase. Couldn't find enough reviews before I bought it. None the less it looks like a good compressor and it's just for me. I am not talented enough to run two guns at once. lol. I did ceramics years ago with an airbrush but never landscape and other art so I am relatively new at the airbrushing. Have done many paintings with brushes and sold them and even on my hand bags. I am excited to decorate hand bags with the air brush. Thanks again for your demo. It has been so helpful.

    Nice video. I"m just getting into painting miniatures with airbrush. Getting a Harder & Steenberger Ultra 2024 and looking for a compressor. Is this still a good recommendation or have you found something better over the last few years?

    • @AirbrushAsylum
      @AirbrushAsylum  Před 4 lety +1

      Iwata compressors have a NAC 211 filter (I believe that’s the correct code) they just unclip by pulling on the tab and you can replace the filters with new ones , hope that helps 👍🏻

    Thank you for the data. I do T-shirt’s and face paint with the CS. Need real air/all day. And contractor compressors are way too noisy. Anxiety sets in and people complain. Silent-Aire with the fridge motor are great and real quiet, but cost big $$$$. And within 2 days they get stolen.

      Glad you are getting a iwata feel free to purchase through our amazon.com/shop/airbrushasylum to support us with a little ‘affiliate commission’ lol 😂 sorry about the shameless promotion 👌🏻👌🏻👍🏻 all the best from Oz

    Hello, and you made a good good review, I have a question, Do you have to do some maintenance on the compressor, besides releasing the air? Do you need to clean the tank or change something or put oil in some parts? Thanks :) hope you’re having a good day !

    • @AirbrushAsylum
      @AirbrushAsylum  Před 4 lety +5

      Just drain the tank once you finished using it to release any moisture from the tank other than that they are oil free so no other maintenance is required 👍🏻😉

      the gauge facing foward is a lower model as I don' think the one shown here had any previous version.. luckily I was able to score this one recetnly on amazon warehouse at $350. it was indicated in as an "acceptable" cosmetic condition but when I unboxed it was brand new

    Good morning can you do a comparison on this and the Paasche Airbrush DC850R Compressor. I am ripped between the two. After 30 yrs of being off of airbrushing. A lot has changed, I want a good reliable compressor. quiet and not annoyingly loud. I am starting up my airbrush business and I want to add this to my motorcycle repair custom hobby. I apologize if I don't make since. still drinking my 3rd cup of coffee

    I don't know if you noticed it but you didn't put that compressor for the eclipse you didn't put it on 30 PSI you put that compressor on 40 PSI for the eclipse so you might want to you know go back and correct that because you wrongfully you know gave the wrong information saying that you put it on 30 when you actually in reality you put it on 40 PSI cuz the video shows you put it on 40

    Hello,
    As I am a newbie in airbrushing, I would like your opinion on this compressor: www.blackanddecker.co.uk/en-gb/products/equipment/air-compressors/air-compressor-bd-556/backplate
    Even you didn't have the opportunity to use one, maybe the technical specifications will allow you to formulate an opinion.
    Thanks in advance.

    • @AirbrushAsylum
      @AirbrushAsylum  Před 5 lety

      I took a look at the link but it’s coming up broken ? I have never used one but my advice for any compressor purchase is to get something with a tank (if possible) as this will stop the compressor from running continuously , also the iwata compressors are silent and oil free so no real maintenance apart from draining the tank (if you have one of the models that has a tank) hope that helps 👍🏻
