- Want to know how to conduct a basic data analysis using Stata? We show you just that. Watch as we show you how to import data into Stata from Excel, how to change the display format of a variable, how to label variables and the values of categorical variables, how to create new variables, how to describe and summarize variables, and how to create several kinds of graphs.
Next we demonstrate how to fit a linear regression model, how to calculate and graph marginal predictions from the model, and how to send those commands to Stata's Do-file editor. The video ends with a discussion of how to learn more about Stata using the Help files, PDF documentation, and the search command.

Super clear explanations and thanks for using the proper terminology for everything. I like to learn the correct terms and this video really helped. Cheers
Hey, Thanks a lot.

Thanks from Afghanistan
exactly what i needed❤️
Thanks for the clear explanations, this is really helpfull.
well explained!
i wish you gave us the link to your data set
You can open Stata and type *webuse auto* in the Command window to see the dataset being used.
Very fine explanation
i owe u man
Fantastic
Thank you🤩
Excellent
I have four independent variables and for this I formulated 13 questions in likert scale but I can enter data separately for each question but I can't merge each question for each independent variables for out put of report on stata

Can you explain please, how to create a graph with several variables
Hello. at 3:00 you talk about changing the format. how do you do this if there isn t the little three dot box. and why might it not be there
This is supposed to be an intro: "Getting started with STATA. As with all tech people, the author goes too fast and covers too many details. The author assumes you have a background in Stata language, but as a beginner, I don't have. I would need to listen and pause the video a few times to get a handle on this.
I can not change the properties of my variables because the variables property boxes is greyed out ( it can't be altered). Could you please explain why this is, and how I can change it? Thank you very much.
I've worked it out. Do not open data in browse, but in data editor. Thank you
nice
hi, thanks for the tutorial. But how can I get this data (in Excel format)? I just want to follow as you do in the video.
In Stata's Command window, type *sysuse auto* . In the 'File' dropdown, select 'Export' and then 'Data to Excel spreadsheet'. This will save the data in Excel format and place it in your Stata folder. Contact tech-support@stata.com if you have any further questions and someone will be happy to help out.
okay, thank you. export data and import again hhhhhhhhh
Thank you
can you please tell me how to generate graphs in the propensity score matching without using codes...?
My STATA does not allow me to click on the ellipses to use Value labels - do some versions not allow this?
I need help learning how to create a variable. I thought it would be gen name=o. then replace name= 1 if variable = (blank). I have several variables that I need to equal 1, how do I do that
Where can i get this data set from?
You can type *sysuse auto* in Stata's Command window and obtain the sample dataset.
Is anyone up for some help? need help in one stata question badly :(
i would like to translate this video in french
this has to be the worst software ive ever used
