That Real Men of Genius cutaway made me tear up. I miss those commercials so damn much and that one was perfect. Today we salute you, coaster vlogger.😊
Cargo shorts, coaster shirt, glasses strap - here's to you, coaster vlogger
@@AirtimeThrillsI am trying to order your pythagorean theorem shirt
The “real men of genius” part was absolutely golden!
Welcome! Enjoy!
So excited you finally got to go to Europe Chris, can't wait for all this content :)
Yooo congrats on getting to Europe! Looking forward to the content, and more than anything I'm glad you're able to do something you've been wanting to do for a while. I can't imagine how exiting this must be, man. Have fun!
The real men of genius part on the brake man= nailed it
The taco salad one is the best. Yes, Bud Light used to have marketing that increased its sales.
Welcome to Europe! Shame you didn't get Rutschebanen back row, the airtime really can be something else. Also congrats for getting your first europe vlog out way quicker than Coaster Studios 🤣
Agreed on Rutschebanen...the airtime is legit unbelievable in the back
The reports of airtime had me wondering how a coaster without upstop wheels can even HAVE airtime, especially the kind of ejector that people were claiming was there. If it does exist, I think the key is that it's not happening over the whole train at the same time.
I rode my first European coasters this year too... at PortAventura. On international trips I generally can't convince my family to go to theme parks, so I have to plan a solo side trip, and this was the first time I made the effort. My parents keep telling me I have to visit Tivoli Gardens; they've been there.
Great tribute to the breakman... I've always seen them in books I never knew they were real😂😂😂
Sounds like a good start to your trip. I’m on the start of my Europe trip. Flew into Amsterdam hit up toverland after the long travel and it was more crowded than normal. Park was very much into their music on the coasters. Good experience. Now I’m At phantasialand and this place couldn’t be better although the on site hotel is a hit box but the park is perfect. Fast operations, great appeared, and the coasters are incredible. And your comments about the hotel in Europe is in line. Everything is smaller in Europe.
"Real Men of Genius"...what a deep cut! I forgot all about those commercials! Lol! Have a blast in Europe.
definitely from the wayback machine
Walt loved him some Tivoli. So glad he replicated it in America & +'ed IT! DL is like Tivoli in the fact the park is sTaCkEd with rides! Thanks for shout OUT to brakeman.....though NO airtime 4 the Airman.
i’ve been to a few hotels in california which have the energy conservation thing where you can’t use electricity unless your room key is in the reader. it’s kinda weird but kinda interesting
It was definitely new for me. But only 1 other hotel had that on the trip
its common in sweden. its to save energy, making sure all lights and appliances are turned off when the guest leaves the room. for safety (no charging phones etc) and for environment/money reasons =)
Also helps someone like me from losing the damn room key😅
Congrats on making it this far. Enjoy Europe! You’re gonna love it! I wanna go there. It’s on my bucket list.
Dude, I'm jealous. But I'll live it vicariously. Thanks for the great videos.
Real Men of Genius bit was an all-timer
I miss that campaign so much
I love your videos and your vlogs are some of my favorite stuff to relax to. Very excited to tag along on this adventure, since I doubt I’ll ever make the trip across the pond in my lifetime and will get to enjoy it vicariously through you!
You know, I research ride models and their specifications and have added a ton of ride models to a google sheet to analyze which is the most valuable for a park. All this to say, I’ve never even heard of an Intamin mine train! That’s a cool credit, along with Rutschebanen and Tornado, of course.
Yes! I've been waiting for this! Can't wait for the rest of the series!
I’ve been waiting for so long! Can’t wait to watch!
Chris just bodied Bud Lights 2023 marketing department.
Awesome!! Cool to see you finally made it across the pond
Awesome to see the first vlog come out so fast after the trip!
So awesome you finally made it over to Europe!!! Enjoy!!!
finally in Europe good luck
That lighting package on Daemonen looks sick!
i just had my first visit to glenwood today. really fun rides.
I was waiting for this video for so long!
I've really enjoyed this video one of my favorite videos from this channel
So excited for this series
Some classic rides here, come to the uk and Blackpool pleasure beach has some amazing classic woodies like the ones seen in this video!
Let’s go!!!!! Been waiting so long for this
Great video! Great to see you had a good time!
Thanks for the heart!
Ok, I loved the Real Men of Genius part!
Love it,how breathtaking , 🌟
Real Men of Genius part was class.
Had the chance to visit Tivoli a month ago! Also my first euro park and it was a blast!
Welcome to Europe! Europe is the true land of fun!😂 Looking forward to going to Phantasialand with my grownup children next week!
Another great video!!!
Been waiting for this. Was following along on instagram.
Mark being "Most likely to cause a global incident" is pure gold. Great vlog to kick off this insane trip!
Lol the fancier American hotels have the key box too!
Lovely video - what a great part of Copenhagen
1:45 When I went to Taiwan for a trip a little while ago, the hotel also had this little card box.
I laughed so hard when you played the national anthem as you zoomed in on McDonald’s 😂😂
Anyway, I hope you had/are having fun in Europe!
Nice to see you finally going to Europe!! Now visit the rest of the European countries ;-) There are a lot of very good coasters here...
We are going to visit Walibi Holland next Saturday and my son of 9 years old will be able to ride everything there!
Greetings from the Netherlands...
Been really excited to see your reactions to my home country!
Got so much delight from the first of these vlogs. Also very glad you really like Mine Train Ulven! It's such a good family coaster
Damn! Denmark is in my to-do list, and visiting the world's oldest park is like number 1
This is awesome! When you get back you should make a documentary about the history of Bakken like you did my home park kings island!
That would be a very very long one
@@AirtimeThrills that would be like 40 parts
yesss the europe vlogs are starting
Oh man I loved the real men of genius bit that we joked about!
This was an amazing start of the trip even if it was a bit rushed
I just had to turn it into reality
Universal Orlando Hotels require Key for power as well. First time I'd ever seen it as well.
Woo the vlog series begins! It was great to meet you on this trip Chris! Can’t wait to see the rest!
-Jamin
This feels like a dream…
Shame I couldn’t go to Tivoli when I went to Copenhagen (it was February) did get to walk on the frozen canals and see lots of snow phalluses 😂. Also wasn’t too disappointed walking out to the Little Mermaid, yes she’s small but I was the only one there.
Nice!
The POV of Mine Train Ulven is what got me into roller coasters.
lmao i actually got first comment. best rollercoaster youtuber btws. Hope you hit 100K before the end of 2023!
The Danish railroads do have quirky/unique rolling stock. Most of the US still likes making trains look like toasters
Congrats on breaking 600 credits! (I'm assuming you did by the end of this trip). I'm hoping 600 is an epic Euro giga or something really cool.
Thats 2 episodes away and I think i did well for 600...
Unlikely to be a Euro giga given that there is exactly one giga in Europe and it is in Spain.
@XpOzgamingx I'm American so I'm clearly unaware of non American coasters. That being said, I'm hoping it wasn't a kiddie coaster...lol
Boost... Mode. That is all. The content here is giving me Deja Vu for some reason. 🧐🤔
fun with scandinavia ive been to all these parks and bonbonland :D
I always wondered how that electricity at the hotel thing works. I heard in the future, there will be extra fees on the room based on electricity use. Stay tuned, speaking of staying tuned, I will be staying tuned for the next one. Enjoy your trip
Nice to see a fair assessment of Bakken, a decent place but some reviews overly hype. Been looking forwards to seeing this trip so its a good day.
If you are still in Copenhagen, a few recommendations, I can make are to eat breakfast at mad kaffe and to eat dinner at Olive kitchen and tap
That tunnel is legendary
That hotel card key thing is actually common in some hotels.
Also, do not miss Reffen !!! I also highly recommend spending the 15 to 30 minutes it takes to do Cisternerne
I noticed that the kiddie coaster has the ladybug cars featured on the "junior" roller coaster from the original RCT1 (RollerCoaster Tycoon) and Boost Mode bears some car designs similar to what Chris Sawyer used for the "Spinning" junior coaster cars also found in RCT1. Hope you enjoyed your day at Tivoli!
Thats true, i didnt think about that
Heading to Tivoli next month and one of my favorite coaster CZcamsrs happens to post a vid about it? What are the odds!
You must have got a very aggressive brakeman on Tivolis Rutschebanen, airtime machine would be generous but i got a good amount of floater only a few weeks ago!
Lets GOOOOOOOOO!!! ATT in Europe!!!
Intamin "Let's build a family coaster"
Also Intamin: Builds crazy spinner and a very intense mine train family coaster
I was your 420th like, please be proud 🥺
“Real Men of Genius!” That shook loose a memory bank lol 😂
So good
The "card in the box turns on all the outlets" trick is also on a lot of cruise ships.
... Just in case you ever go on Carnival to get that credit.
I can't believe it finally happened! AT in Europe.
Love the real men of genius bit
Thanks, that took me forever to do but it was worth it
Absolutely was, keep up the awesome work
For 2024, you should do a 3 or so week Euro trip to countries that you haven’t went to this year
for Tivolis Ruschenbahn, it really depends on the brakeman for ride experience
The Brakeman sequence has serious kenergy
Glad you got to get to places like Tivoli. Place has a big part in the building of the US parks because its one of the places they took lots of ideas from it to Disneyland and therefore all the parks that started as clones in the 50s and 60s. Hopefully you get to do some of the other European parks in the next few years Lots of European coasters to cover. As a UK person next year the Nemesis retrack should be complete at Alton Towers for the UK although i guess you might be waiting for the rumored family RMC.
Or at least for the Mack hyper
@@AirtimeThrills Honestly don't know how I forgot about another hyper being built, probably because Thorpe Park has a bit of a reputation as the underinvested stepchild of the Merlin parks in the UK. Still disappointed its not a B&M Hyper but the land is Magic Mountain/Knotts level of constricted because its so close to London so difficult to fit in.
@@hmsverdunI personally can't see a rmc coaster coming to Alton Towers or even Drayton Manor, as for the Mack hyper, Dominic is right to get construction updates still from monks walk, next month when stopping at the shark cabins for 2 nights i hope to get a dawn and dusk exodus construction updates from monks walk myself
@@AirtimeThrillsChris last Monday after going on the Swarm i seen the white supports for the 1st time well except for watching Jack's exodus construction updates, it really reminds me of the major adrenaline emotions of new attractions coming soon, 4 weeks ago me and my friends, we went to Plopsaland de Panne for the 1st time and Ride to Happiness literally blew me away, it's a whole different level
The day has come! The dam has broken!
We finally have an Airtime Thrills video from Europe!!
REAL MEN OF GENIUS!!!
If you can I would recommend visiting a fair in europe. At leat in germany there can be some pretty crazy rides. I really cant wait for the next episodes an Iam hoping that you return to europe to maybe visit germany.
Germany is my #1 euro destination
If you got to ride rutschebanen in the back row then you know what people talk about when they say how crazy the airtime is on rutschebanen, every other row sucks tbh😅
I want to get to Tivoli just for their Condor ride with the outward-facing seats and for Tik Tak.
The outward facing seats on the condor was pretty cool, will admit
You have to ask the ride op to turn on the booster for Tornado or else it’s pretty mild. I always tell people that when visiting
Oh I asked, but still got denied. Some others got it though
@@AirtimeThrills Yeah that happens sometimes
@@AirtimeThrills Love seeing how your international experience will be. I always have a great time at the European parks especially Germany
Can not wait for more
how do i get over my fear of coasters? they look super fun but im terrified of the heights. on the ones i have ridden i love it immediately after the lift its just the crazy heights that scare me but when i hit the drop the fear goes away (also i can ride any invert of any height idk why maybe cuz im under instead of over)
Launch coasters might get you past that.
I get nerves to this day when riding a really big one or one that's of an unfamiliar type. One thing I do is remind myself that the fear feelings I get when I look at the ride from the ground or go up the lift are part of the total ride experience--that in a sense, I've already started to experience the ride's effects, and I might as well go through with it. And it's true! Roller coasters are built to *look* scary.
Hello my favorite coaster channel ,I finally got the nerve to ride wcr at hershey and I'm curious in your expert coaster opinion how many degrees would you say the lift hill is
I don't know, but if you really wanted to know, you can probably use a compass and find out that way
Welcome to outside of the USA brother.
Man, you missed out. Rutschebanen in the back row with a good brakeman is some of the best airtime in the world.
1:48 seriously that’s normal in many places, even some US hotels
watch your arms everywhere, many coasters dont have large clearance.
Favorite youtuber
Seriously, next time you get the chance, ride Boost Mode on Tornado. It is insane.
Rutschebanens airtime depends on being in the very back and having a fast brakeman
Buy or sell: The Vekoma Tilt Coasters will never be built or another park will take at least one of those two blueprints.
Enjoy
