I found these very handy to put on the end of a stick. Just put the stick through the little hole and light it. it's great for getting your wood stove going for winter camping.
These little things are great, and when the flint is gone, that middle section can be tossed and the cap will thread directly onto the gray section making a waterproof match case. Well done Zippo.
Interesting products out of Zippo this year! They’re really getting into the outdoor market. My office is in the same town of Bradford PA. Zippo/Case is one of the big employers. I remember when their entire foray into outdoor fire starting was to put a campfire logo in the bottom corner of one of the standard lighters. I like carrying one of the standard Zippo when I’m out camping especially if I’m carrying a white gas stove. One of the biggest complaints (that the company seems to address with this fire kit) is that the Zippo fuel evaporates. I’m usually not out long enough for that to be an issue... but if I was, a 20z or 33oz MSR bottle of crown or coleman fuel goes a long way with a Zippo. If it was me.. I’d throw a few ferro flints into the bottom of the tube as well. That way the spark wheel would last a looong time! Thanks for the video!
pretty cool brother . man i tell you what i love zippo pitch that flint in that unit and replace it with a flint from a bic lighter there way bigger and bigger is better always . god bless brother .
Zippo. Good info. Need a case for carrying those extra tinder in. Maybe a candy tube or an altoids tin. The new sugarfree tin is nice( don't eat that nasty stuff. Even ants avoid it.): coat outside of tin with wax. Great addition to edc.
nice video! I wonder if you can put a single lifeboat match in the empty space of the tinders? just an idea, I noticed that the "holes" don't get completely filled up. cheers!
Pretty cool. Would be good to know the weight, but looks light. I reckon you could probably get more than one fire from each tinder. At the moment I have a bag of cotton wool balls and a jar of vaseline, plus ferro rod and lighters.
Great video my friend it looks pretty good I'm wondering if you could put some Zippo fluid in in the container? Maybe a dumb thought but it popped in my head lol god bless you my friend
Walmart sells these in their sporting goods section. If someone doesn't have a fire kit in their bugout bag or EDC, I'd recommend this. You should always use quick light methods first, but KNOW how to CREATE FIRE using NOTHING but your NATURAL AREA in your CLIMATE!
I have a plethora of Firestarter's, but this device may be one of best. It is small, compact, lightweight, water resistant and dependable. What more could you expect from this type of gear?
I had a Zippo lighter that the wheel locked up & I never could get it unlocked. I'm probably that one in a million that it happened to, but it did & I will never forget it.
The wheels lock up when you run out of flint. The spring has a little flint retainer that will get stuck on the wheel and lock it up. Just drop the spring which will loosen the wheel and add a new flint.
Why would you need it on a boat? For the life raft? Otherwise I don’t get why you would need to start a camp fire... on a boat. If it is for the raft, fine, use it if you get marooned on land, but then why would the float ability be important and make it particularly well suited for “a boat?” In other words this one is no better suited for a boat than any others.

This is cool, but did anyone else see the deer running through?
I own 5 of them. Love the concept.
That's a pretty cool item!
Great review on a nice bit of kit 👍
That's quite the little kit from Zippo. That would be worth getting and carrying in your BackPack, I'm think'n.
Good stuff. I'm a sucker for any new or good fire tools.
Think you so much I just got one cuz of you
Loved it bro
I just got one. Pretty cool. 👍🏻
Pretty cool product. I might buy one for the camping challenge giveaway. Thanks brotha
I gotta add that to my stash- I don't think I can ever have enough- I have family/friends that "borrow." Happy to help them out.
Cool man, thank you !

Now THAT is going in my bug-out bag!
Thank you very much. I received one recently, as a gift and couldn't get it to light.
Can never have enough fire starting tools, if one don't work, the other one... well maybe. 👍
Nice, was wondering how long would be before zippo joined game, looks like they did good lil job

Thanks for that, the only problem with flint wheels is you MUST have dry hands, otherwise you can't flick the wheel

Truth!!!
Nice.
Neat little lighter kit, thanks for sharing J2K -jim
Great video my friend. BTW Jason Williams won the GAW so please foward your prizes to him.

Dip a 100 percent cotton rope in parafin. Don't soak it all the way thru. Cut to size or just coil it up. Cheap. Fluff and spark.
Did anyone else happen to notice the deer run by behind him around the 5:20 mark of the video??
I have one of these myself, nice product!
Just kidding It was just a dog!! Ha
Saw this in the store a bit back, hadn't stopped to really look at it though. I thought it was essentially going to be a repackaged Zippo lighter.

351WINCHESTER you could have sent it back and they fix them forever. One of the best warranties out there.

i bought one and it came with no flint and missing the screw........
Vids - he's got a huge beard ... he's clean shaven ... he's got a huge beard. The Duck Dynasty beard is a paste-on.....
I would put them in the freezer overnight and test how they break up
Video could have been 8 minutes shorter......had to fast forward to the end to see the important part........will it light.
True, i'm editing alot more on my recent videos. Thanks for sharing your honest thoughts!
Disagree, was good detail for an item that some might not know how to use.

You made sure to mention it's made in the USA... but on the back it actually says it's manufactured in China to USA standards.. LOL
