@renata1402 If you look at it, the live cows are jumping off a gray colored thing, and you can almost seeing them looking to something close that they are jumping to, whereas the rest of the place was green. I think it just carefully planned camera angles.

The shot of the dead cows on the beach were actual dead cows. They did not die in a fall, however. They were previously dead and brought into film with.
I love the Pixies and I consider this as a great fan clip, really well mixed and realized ;)
this song is about the future, maybe time traveling. But like the video.

If the cliffs were that muddy, and especially if the dude grew up there he should have known the same route his father took down the mountain, or he could have spread his arms and legs and slide down the side, he probably would have broken something, but it be better then being dead. But then again if it was an Irish play the ending probably is supposed to be sad.

Interesting choice.
Notice it was a stylized shot with a blue background, the animals were not killed. Anyhow after this movie they were probably shipped off to a meat factory for a much worse fate. I enjoyed the shot for the beauty of film making and this film's unique filming choice, not for senseless violence.

I love the fact that Danni Minogue was guest reviewer of the single releases when this was released. Her esteemed verdict, as a renowned musical icon was " (It's) a crock of shit", as one of my favourite Pixies track I should have taken offence at such a desultory damning.... Instead it made me love the Pixies more and I found it a statement of pride......
Poor Danni, manufactured puppet of crass, generic pop tosh. I only hope as she has grown up she can see merit in the work of one of rocks most innovative, original and exciting group.
But I'm guessing she still is of the same mind.

danni minogue's career has been reduced to mindless reality tv show that has no credibility in the real music industry.
those kids that actually win these competitions are lucky to get performance royalties & a 1 album record deal before their time in the spotlight/fame disappears.
after that the record company drops them are they disappear into obscurity.
the sad reality is the only people that are making any money out of it all is the tv station & the record company.
