thats genius ty
Cowslayer6789 genius
Cowslayer6789 yup , that is also called common sense ...
Jesus Rivas 😂😂😂
what I ended up doing was placing a torch in front of each dispenser when I put the bucket in it so I didn't forget any.
PLACE TORCHES ON THE SPAWNING PLATFORMS! I have no idea how +Mumbo Jumbo didn't notice this, but I've built a lot of mob farms, if you're going to have water to push off mobs, that same water can take out your torches. Don't let creepers spawn on your hard work, just place torches on the parts where the water will be and your farm will turn on as soon as the first cycle of water has completed.
Also if you don't have the resources for dispensers and buckets you can use pistons that are holding back water source blocks, you just also have to remember that you won't wont the upward pistons in the redstone line that comes out of your hopper clock since pistons stay open with constant signal, rather than switching state on pulse, like a dispenser with water in it
no, did I get something wrong? If you come back saying that torches will make mobs not spawn you clearly didn't read the comment. The farm is made such that water covers the entire spawn platform while it pushes mobs off. that same water will clear out the torches you placed there.
Brian Troy Why are you talking about torches?
If its not that, then why did you ask if i was retarded or trolling. What did i get wrong?
You don't want any light in any mob farm...
+B. Bond Buddy come on, please.... he was talking about when mumbo mentioned going back into the farm to put all the water in after you have it built. If you don't place torches you have to worry about mobs and creepers blowing the farm up like he says in the video. this guy is saying just place torches while you're building so when you go back in later with all the water buckets you don't have to worry about mobs and when the farm starts running the water will take out the torches. We all clear now?
my life ended when he said do that four more times
Mine did to lmao but I did it
Not if in you're in a survival world lmao
@@spod2998 kek not in survival
XD it’s fine tho. It’s easy to build
@@spod2998 whats the point if your in creative
My experience with this farm: it works beautifully on 1.14.2 vanilla survival until other people get on the server in far away chunks. Don't know why, but it produces the stream of mobs just like the video and stops as soon as someone else logs in at a different location. If the other people are at the farm with me it runs fine, but any other chunks in the world being loaded will have an effect on the drop rates.
Dylan Branum thanks was looking for a recent review
I also have a problem were zombies fall the full 30 blocks a survive i have lowered the hoppers a couple of times and they still survive it is only the zombies they are also not one hit like you might exspect
Most mob farms don’t work with others online they are really just designed to work with no other spots they can spawn the rates drastically decrease because of unlit caves and such on other people’s ends all mob farms are effected this one just the same as mine gnemboms most recent design
Dylan Branum so your problem here is that other players are in locations where other mobs can spawn, practically leaving a radius of 128 around that player to spawn mobs as well, this will diminish the mob cap and slow down your farm.
On my server we have anyone else afk farming light up caves and the ground 128 blocks around their afk location
It's because the mob cap is server based, not player based so if there was a lot of spawnable blocks around the other player, then there would be a drastic effect on the rates
A very simple trick to make this a bit easier: light the whole thing up with torches on the ground(!). when you start the farm the first time the water will get rid of the torches and your farm is finished.
For those of you who don't get many drops:
1: The areas around the mob spawner are dark enough to spawn mobs. To fix this, light up all the areas around it (at least 50 blocks away), including caves and underground systems
For those of you who get source blocks:
1: you are playing in an outdated version
2: you did not space your dispensers correctly
Materials: LOTS of blocks, redstone, buckets, redstone repeaters, dispensers, and hoppers
If you want to do this without taking up a lot of iron run a water stream under the mob farm that make the mobs drop into a smaller area, thus using less hoppers.
I have modified this mob farm to make it more efficient. All I can do is explain how it works, so only some redstone ppl with understand. Here it is:
So the problem was that the water was out for 50% of the time, ao mobs won't be able to spawn for a while. My solution was to make the output of the hopper clock to run into a mono stable circuit. Then the output The of mono stable circuit would branch off to both of the dispenser lines. On each side it would branch off again, then connect back to the main redstone line. Of course, when it branches off the second time it would have many repeaters so that there is delay before the dispensers take back the water so that the mobs can be pushed away. To avoid making a redstone clock from this, I put a redstone running into a block then a repeater taking the signal from this in between each of the branches.
Because of this, my mob farm spawns up to 40% more mobs than before
Leave a like if this was helpful so that others can benefit from this too! :D
Lemunz thank you for your tip, but I don't need to have a more efficient mob farm and i have enough iron and blocks for the entire structure. For some reason, my mob farm is not working. What i mean is, no mobs are spawning. The hoppers beneath the farm are all lit up and the farm itself is not lit up and mob proof. Im building my farm at ~Y:180 in a jungle and I did not light up any caves beneath me but I didn't think I needed to. I am playing in 1.12 java edition. If you read this and need more information, I will gladly tell you because you seem to know what you are doing. Thanks.
J Modica This might seem like a stupid question but it should probably be checked... Are you playing in Peaceful?
Defiantnight lol, no... im playing in hard mode
do you have a screenshot or something of what you did? Thanks
@@jondoolio i have the same problem, i don`t khow why the mobs don`t appear, im in the version 1.8.7 am im doing it the desert
This is a great farm! I would highly recommend building it.
This must be hard for you to warch
does it still work?
@@mikeyb7033 yeah it still works. I have one in my world and just sit there watching all the mobs pour out lol
@@mikeyb7033 not the best one cost-wise anymore, or efficiency wise. Also, the collection is pretty basic. If you want a ton of items, potentially well over 13k items per hour, you can build 4 of gnembons flushing mob farm(at least 10 floors), using hopper minecart unloaders, and soul campfires. This will yield triple the items, with 2/3 the dispensers, and far less dust and things.
But ur brothers r being killed
while i was preparing the items for this thing, the shulker boxes in 1.11.2 became my best friends!
An Iron Farm will become my best friend after this.
Tomer Grabiner Yes, im using it on my survival world.
just build it as high as possible and fill everything under it on the ground with torches. Light up all caves under it too. Then make a small platform about 20 blocks away from the huge spawner and set your visibulity to at least 12-15 chunks. That fixed all problems for me. Then i made a rail with hopper minecart to collect all the itmes and unload them in hoppers, which hoppers take the items to dispenser that shoots them down to the ground in another hoppers and then they get all the items in my 100+ large chests :D
I dont know, i haven't tried it yet.
I was wondering the same thing I cant find a easy survival mob farm for 1.12

works very very well in 1.14.4. I have made it and hooked it up to an item sorter in my survival world and and it easily gives 13k and hour... thanks mumbo 🙏
Hey Mumbo, I remember building this way back.
Would you do it differently 5 years on?
Ilmango has released a better version of this farm, more in depth, but it is extremely expensive. you could also build one with new water mechanics(gnembon has a good tutorial) if you don't need over 30k items per hour or so. Also, hopper minecarts are awesome.
@@professionalgamer4858 Thank you! Even a year on, you're super helpful c:
i dont watch videos on minecraft however i am impressed as my 10 year old just watched this video amd built this same thing in two hours, and it works
TWO HOURS
I have made this farm 2 times in survival at 2 locations in my world, it is awesome. Hooked them up to item sorters and I have been infinitely stocked for years :) thank you!!
I just got done building it and it is doing incredibly well, thanks mumbo i really needed this.
Hi everyone, build this on console the other day and it works a treat, incredible drop rates and amazingly compact redstone. Fantastic work Mumbo, hope to see more designs in the future.
+hayden rogers WHERE THE F**K DID YOU GET OVER 5000 BLOCKS? WTF?!
In creative lol. planning to build it on my survival world and its not the 5000+blocks im worried about.

Mine is on Xbox 360 normal difficulty on survival at about 70 blocks high and spawns almost nothing. Can you help me figure out why it isn't working
bob koolios it is too close to the ground and loads the caves
you can probably run the hoppers into an item sorter to make it easier
just built this farm in my xbox survival island world. Has to be the most efficient farm of this type i have ever come across. Great tutorial Mumbo :)
Thank you for making this contraption its really useful to get a lot of items. I even made a sorting system to filter the items
Great Tutorial Mumbo! What ever happened to that Rube Goldberg Machine Let's Build series? And will you ever continue the series?
I will eventually do the finale, I had some world/snapshot problems and am trying to get it back to how it was.
Great News Mumbo! I'm glad to here the come back of the long lost series! Your not the only one who's had frustrating snapshot catastrophe's!
+Mumbo Jumbo Hey Mumbo, if we build this in a swamp will it spawn spikes?

Still working in 1.20, thanks Mumbo
Excellent contraption. I needed a ton of bones for bone block building and gun powder for my elytra, and this thing filled my needs in short order.
I did a smaller one of these for a new world I started on the PS4.
Its closer to the ground that others I have built in my old world and works at least as good. Love this design. As I get further along will build a proper one.
Thanks for the help on this. Am trying to keep up with HC5 and am watching the HC4 from the start for info and ideas.
I just tried to build a version of this. Nothing is spawning inside. I'm not sure if something changed since time of recording to current update or not. The bottom layer of the mob spawn layer is at roughly 194 blocks high above water.
BMAN488877 I figured out that if there are multiple people in the server it may not work instantly. also, I built mine above water but had to flood the small bits of beach around to prevent spawns below it.
1.19.4 here, this farm still works like a charm!
Where did you build your farm? I built it over an ocean and I'm getting like 5 spawns a minute, i followed the video exactly
@@robbiereyes1129 i also built it over the ocean, but dont forget about lighting, spawn distance and especially what I found out the hard way, there are caves under the water
Just built a 2 floor version on my survival 1.11 world, and it seems to work very nicely. Thanks for this design, Mumbo!
Turns out that I felt it was pointless to have the farm in the spawn chunks, so I moved it and added 2 more floors. Now it's producing like a beast! Can't wait to add those hoppers below and start collecting! :D
THIS IS THE GREATEST MOB SPAWNER I HAVE EVER BUILT IN SURVIVAL!! Thanks for this design its amazing!! :)
Dude, you can do it with less hoppers because you can use water to collect items. but you need also some timing calculation and dispensers
This seems REALLY similar to TheSmokingKoala's design. Redstone is just a little different, and it is longer but less wide.
That is because if you watch TheSmokingKoala's video he mentions that he built his based off of my design on the Hermitcraft server.
And TheSmokingKoala's design looks a lot like Monkeyfarm's. Bit he didn't know.
Mumbo Jumbo
Only he uses packed ice and makes it so much better
Mumbo Jumbo YEAH i build it.it worked i have it in any world of survival the i have that i can build it it works and yours too! =) XD
Arnolds Kļavenieks no the ice does nothing for the speed at which the mobs are pushed of the spawn pads
Working brilliantly, awesome work Mumbo xD
Well this is a must add. Really want the bones. Not much else. Been looking for a skeleton spawner for a couple months with no luck. So this is the next best option. Thank you for the tutorial
Hey Guys Here's A Tip!
Build This Farm On Top Of a Deep Ocean!
I Built It On a Deep Ocean At Y:130 And Make A AFK Platform 25-30 Blocks Above The Farm For Awesome Rates!
+Willdabeast This is not correct, mobs effectively spawn in a 128 block radius of the player
+Geekroids did the same on my favourite server and absolutely NO MOBS spawned...
Have You Spent Some Time Up on the AFK Platform? Try Like 10 Mins Up There!
Geekroids yes. almost no spawns at all. like 1 spider and 2 skeletons instead of hundreds of mobs like in mumbos tutorial.i bet he used mob spawners
Bro, Than I can't really help with you with servers.I built this farm On my Single player survival world it works like a charm
4 repeaters and 2 comparators. worth mentioning in the build item list
Great tutorial...Thanks, Mumbo!
*****For those having issues with low drop rates on a server. If you have access to the Server Control Panel. You need to change the "Draw Distance" in the 'config' file. MCProhosting has it set at 6. It needs to be 10. Had the same issue with Guardian Farm drop rates.
I hope this helps someone! Have fun peeps!
Just build this.... Fantastic.... Loved building it, excellent production, love your videos. Keep up the good work 😊😊😊😊

Mumbo: "Just place two blocks down on the bottom of these floating blocks like this"
Me in Survival Mode: " -_- "
A FunnyMouth yeah it is difficult to build in survival
I did everything correctly, but found 0 mobs to drop. Then I realized I used lava buckets instead of regular water buckets. Anyways, I have my fingers crossed for Mumbo to do a series of XP farming.
Raphael Phua how tf did you accidentally fill 60 dispensers with lava?
Raphael Phua r/thathappened
great mob farm! I built this and unbelievable item return. Thanks Mumbo !
Mumbo, man, that's the nicest, cleanest mob farm I have ever seen dawg! Props to you man!
I’m convinced this farm is future proof and will never break
Just built this in 1.20.1 with 2 stacks in the hopper clock, works like a charm
Probably future proof, not sure about bedrock-proof though
For some reason, when I built this mob farm, the water sometimes bundles together and make water sources to then make water falls coming out and I have to go up and clean it up repeatedly. Does anyone else have the same problem? Please reply back
Same problem
Jesus Christ i haven't built this yet, but your problem has to be that your dispensers are too close. that is literally the only way that can happen. with 4 blocks in between dispensers there is no way for the water to make source blocks. the game just doesn't work that way. i just tested it, and you would have to have the dispensers every other block to get water sources to be created.
I don't know. I checked and there's 4 blocks in between
if you're playing on console then i'm not sure. but on PC there is literally no way for that to happen.
(okay, minecraft does bork and maybe there is some situation where that can happen, but by game mechanics, it shouldn't)
Jesus Christ I had the same issue and found the problem. It is actually quite simple, While building you messed up on one of the teeth you were supposed to build in between the two sides. If one block isn't exactly correct, it will create waterfalls. Hope this helped.
You can just start with one layer for mobs to spawn on, and then build on top of them as you get the resources, etc - it'd (I find) make things a lot less arduous versus all the climbing around and stuff needed to set things up (w/ the water buckets in dispensers, etc) that you'd do by doing all the layers you want in one go.
Good note with accordance to the hopper collection; You can place magma blocks as your death platform (in 1.11.) and just have a simple hopper minecart system. It is extremely cheap and works. If it helps you can add more than one minecart.
you are welcome
Seriously, everyone saying "oh, you nicked this design of so and so, or I CREATED THIS FIRST!" need to realise there are so many ways you can build a mob spawner.

@@-_---__-_--...__-- he said half fast
Otherwise your gunna be left with a half assed mob spawner
Making a funnel at the bottom of the structure for the mobs to fall in a small area (2x2 or more to fit spiders) will make it cost a little less iron and make it a bit more compact. You also won't need as many hoppers. As long as you have enough storage they won't get backed up(?)
You can also make them fall a bit shorter distance so a good portion of them don't die and you can smack at their feet for loads of XP. Perhaps make a station along their fall with pistons that retract and push in a floor for them to land on so you can toggle between xp and just farming the items. This machine has lots of uses 🖒 can't wait to polish my own design of this thing.
Thanks for the tutorial!!! Subbed!!
If you want to minimize the amount of hoppers used you can set up a room just a few blocks underneath the mob spawned that will push all of the mobs into a smaller area which allows you to not have to put as many hoppers to collect mob drops.
for any one wanting to do something like this: we have observer blocks now (1.11.2 is what I build this in). you can make something that works just as well as this with A LOT less resources.
just repeat the following pattern as often as you want on top of each other:
1. dispenser (facing up) + water bucket
2. observer block (facing up at the dispenser)
3. air
4. see 1; repeat ;)
that is pretty much it.
now make a star like shape around each dispenser to capture all of the water (go 7 out in each direction, then fill out diagonally.)
then on the top most layer remove the bucket and add a red-stone clock to activate the dispenser.
the observer block will make the water cascade down.
make it all dark, add some hoppers to catch the drops and you're done.
pictures?
minecraft.gamepedia.com/Tutorials/Mob_farm#Using_observer_blocks_.281.11.3B_resource_friendly.29
maybe someone would be so kind to add pics there :D
I tried a thing in my world with a piston-observer activator and a redstone clock. It didn't work well, the tick was too small to gove the water time to push the mobs down.
@BillWithIt try a hopper clock (Ethonian Hopper Clock) at the top of the chain minecraft.gamepedia.com/Clock_circuit/hopper_clock
I don't know what you mean by a piston observer (piston in BUD mode?) just use the "new" observer block. it's a single block, you can;t get a BUD smaller than that and it's the reason my design works.
The hopper clock was the first thing i thought of, but the tick was not big enough, and I dont have the comfort of slimeballs to make sticky pistons in my survival just yet.
I was able to get this functional in 1.14.4 by adding a second repeater at full ticks on both sides where it is connected to the pistons.
I'm going to be building with this tip. You may have saved me a ton of time

Thnx for the great build. Just a tip when playing on Win 10 and Pocket addition. Where the sticky pistons fire up, after them you need n observer to transits the new signal.
so i built this thinking the area was good. after i built it i wasnt getting enough drops so i just dig down wand found a huge ravine and a minshaft connected to each other what are the chances

+Roberto Barrera Lol Ikr, mine has been sitting there broken for ages on xbox one.
Although I am extremely late, three years actually, I'd like to say thank you because this is still extremely helpful, even three years later.
A good idea for this build is, when you're making the layers, place torches somewhere on the floor in front of the dispensers. That way, when you come up to put in buckets, there won't be mobs to deal with. Then you just activate the entire thing, and the torches get washed away by the water!
Any idea on why im Barely getting any mobs to spawn? system is built the same and all is working, just getting a few mobs here and there.
Shar Gaming well one thing is that he is in a all air world, you may have caves and areas not lit up, and your difficulty can change that too. Sorry I’m a year and however long late
13K drop only air world
If you don't mind having something in your sky, you can get closer to that number in any vanilla survival world by building the farm up in the air so that your AFK spot is 130 blocks or so above the ground. Easy way to nearly eliminate mob spawns where you don't want them, and makes the farm equally effective day or night. On my current world I plan to embed a version of this into a sky island I'm constructing, with access via nether portal and elytra.
U can easily use the same design and turn it into 40k drops, about half of the maximum drops possible allowed by minecraft. U could stack more, like 20, which is completely plausible. You could make 3 of them surrounding an afk spot and afk in the middle. Less plausible but you can still do it if you have a whole double chest full of iron to make hoppers.
Im currently going to build it 200 blocks in the air with ocean below... The 5 layers are 15.5 blocks high so the afk platform can be around 230 240 blocks in the air just below the build limit....
just build it above water (like 240 blocks up)
Perfect,i wanna build it in skyblock server
Got a 9 tier grinder on 2b2t, works great! (Considering the low mob spawn rate)
Working on a mirror version beside it, thankyou.
easy to follow directions! Gotta appreciate that. Thank you =D
Can't you also just place a water bucket into the dispenser from outside the build, like behind it? That's a safe way if you forgot to light it up.
Malachi Mizori you can
It works just the same.
EggDome ... No they're not. You can clearly see the Emerald block he placed on top of them from the outside.
EggDome if you put the blocks down one from where Mumbo shows, then the Redstone will still activate the dispensers while allowing rear access to them. Also, to prevent mob spawning before you are ready, just leave torches inside the spawner. The first time water is released the torches will be flushed out and the spawner will go dark
you can see the emerald block but not the dispenser
Hey Mumbo, just so you know this design doesn't work in pocket edition. So I figured out how to make it work and am will ring to share my findings.
Many thanks for the excellent tutorial . i still managed to get it wrong ( all my redstone blocks were one unit too low to power the hoppers when it went live :) ) rather than take it apart and do it right i did a bodge and it works a treat . Off to install the item sorter now so i don't have to keep turning it off :) .
Finally getting around to building this monstrosity in my survival world, I'm not finished yet but I think the number of times I've fallen off beats your spoon counter... :)
Don't be like me and build it in a snow biome then realize the water freezes and breaks the whole friggin farm. I'm so mad
It was actually very easy!....

Guys, to test if it works in 1.14.2 on your survival world, follow my steps:
1. *Download this world*
2. Download *MC EDIT* and copy the whole farm
3. Make a copy of your survival world and put it on creative mode
4. Paste the farm in the copy of your survival world
5. *TEST IT* on several locations on your world, see where it’s most efficient
6. After being the most satisfied with the results, rebuild it in survival world or that server that you made a copy of.
thank me later
Works on 1.17 realm, built it in the center of a cold ocean, lit up small islands and caves around and under it, farm is at y lvl 128 in the sky. Works better when no one else is online and if you shorten your render distance. Got 3 double chests of all mob drops in 6 hours. Very Poggers!

This thing is crazy. I built one on my channel. I gave you full credit Mumbo.
Can anyone get this to work in 1.13? I've made this 4 times previously and no problems - but in 1.13 the mobs don't seem to spawn correctly.
Same here. Built the farm high above the ocean, but I don't get more than like 10 mobs per hour.
i have the same problem not many spawn maybe it is the afk spot?
Hmmmm...I rebuilt the AFK spot at 4 differnt heights to test and it never seemed to work. Even went into my old worlds to make sure they were at the right height. Maybe it's just broken with the new update?
Yep, the spawning mechanics have changed, when standing under the farm, you'll get incredible rates (if u lit up all the caves around u)
@@SanCookie ahhh..cool, thanks. I'll try that out!
Since a metric fuckton of hoppers requires a metric fuckton of iron, and im building this on a skyblock server, could I use a hopper cart to pick up the items? have the mobs drop onto half slabs and then the card would suck them up from beneath and deposit it into a chest?

Suraj Nagesh Yeah, but if you arent the server owner you probably wont be able to do it.

My water is not coming out of the dispensers I I will re watch the video and try to find what is wrong.
CAN ANYONE HELP?
What happened, did the dispensers shoot out their buckets?
If so, the most likely answer is that
a) You placed DROPPERS instead of DISPENSERS (Dispensers require a bow in the crafting recipe.).
b) There were water buckets in the dispensers and water blocks on the floor in front of the dispensers, causing the dispensers to drop an item instead of placing a water block.
I'm having the same problem but I'm positive that I used Dispensers. It's not spitting out buckets or water. I'm watching the redstone pulse travel down the line but it seems to have no effect on the dispensers.
I may have figured it out. I think redstone timing in my server may be a little funky. I noticed the pulse wasn't traveling up the torch tower, so I put a repeater set to 2 ticks just before the first torch and now it seems to be working.
I had the same problem. My issue was the repeater tick count. The ones at the hopper timer need to be at default and the ones at the corners should be at 4 ticks. That fixed it for me.
Taylor Freeman Thx but practically had the exact same issue as you I think the redstone was activating the dispensers then deactivating it rly quickly meaning it doesn't work. I tried a repeater with 3 ticks and nothing changed so hopefully two will work.
What version of minecraft were you using in this video
He was using java
I know this is a VERY old video, but i rebuilt this in a more circular shape (for a drone im building inspired by your current hermitcraft base), it drops ALOT more but im fairly newby at redstone and i have no clue how to make the redstone more compact and effeicient, right now it is all over the place
I'm going to try this now. Many years later. I'm sure it'll work. Might need a tweak or two by now.
*This can work in bedrock *IF* one problem is solved... does anyone know a way to make an inverse signal extender? Instead of having the "on" last longer, the "off" needs to last longer. This is the only problem that needs solving for this to work in bedrock.
The nitty gritty: It doesn't work in bedrock. However, the only thing that's wrong are the corner pistons. The clock itself works fine, it's the pistons on the corners that don't pass the signal to the rest of the redstone. The pistons default positions in this machine are up, in order to keep the signal off, so that just a pulse passes through when ever the clock changes sides. The problem is, in bedrock, the pistons power off and back on too quickly to pass the signal, hence the need to have the off phase last slightly longer.
FIXED IT! Literally all you have to do to make it work in bedrock is replace the corner pistons with a block with redstone on top, so that it's just a straight line of redstone going into the next repeater... and change the repeater ticks from 4 to 1. Works great!
Calcint this comment helped me get the Redstone and all that fixed for me. But no mobs are spawning inside the spawner. I’ve lit up everything around it and the caves within 500 blocks under it too. I don’t know what’s wrong
Calcint also the water from the dispensers comes out odd. The right side of the farm works perfect all platforms go dry. Then all platforms get water. But the left side only the bottom and top layers get water while the middle platforms are dry. Then they switch. I can’t seem to get it to be right.
Oml thank you so so much!!!! I had just spent a year building this thing and noticed the problem and was about to give up when I found this comment. Take my like!!!
Built this in my survival world, do slabs make it less efficient?
jon daniel upside down slabs of course
Tip: instead of all the hoppers at the buttom, u can just place a redstone cloak with a dispinser with a Water Bucket, the floor needs to be Magma Blocks, so if the mobs hit the water they will die to the magma block. Its good if u dont have alot of Iron :)
Now one thing to keep in mind when building this is that you need to be cautious of what biome you're building it in. If it's in a biome where water can freeze it will break the whole dispenser system. Made the mistake of building this in an extreme hills area and within 5 minutes all my water on the first layer had frozen solid and my system was broken.
where am I supposed to stand? I tried standing above and it wouldn't spawn mobs. Also, my machine fires differently and I don't know how to fix it. It fires like this L(left side) has water while R(right side) has water as well. then L water retracts and R stays with water. Then both R and L don't have water. Then only L has water. So on and so forth. I have already tried stopping the machine and replacing all water buckets
you should stand or afk at least 20 blocks above the farm, to increase drops.
So glad I spent the last hour building something that does not work anymore. Rip
What do you mean doesn’t work anymore
I’ve built this entire thing three times. I’ve filled the dispensers up many times. It does not work.
I’m having trouble as well.... what update changed it
I don’t know. I do know that it’s changed though. I can’t answer much.
My redtorch tower is not working
I'm watchig this in 2018 and mumbo sounds so diffrent!! His voice in the start is soo high pitched. Still a great video as always mumbo! Great job!
Edit: Is this a highlighted comment for everyone?
no it isn't.
Literally JUST finished building this on my server!
Tip #1: If you're not building a base of some sort around/under this, Install some scaffolding under the spawner so you can access the redstone at a later time. Put carpet on it instead of lighting it up. Mobs won't spawn and you won't light up the lower level.
Tip #2: Don't forget to light up the roof when you cap off this sucker. Fortunately it wasn't too much of a problem for me, but it could be obnoxious for someone who hasn't built their AFK platform.
Tip #3: To echo everyone else, DON'T FORGET to light up the floor of every row. Not the walls, just the floors.
Tip #4: Bring lots of ladders unless you already have your Elytra and plenty of rockets.
Tip #5: Bring extra materials. I made this out of cobblestone, and ended up wasting a bit due to mistakes and the general need to break blocks with nothing underneath them. You also never know when you accidentally hit Q and lose something important.
After 20 minutes of waiting, I already had 4 stacks of gunpowder and other lovely goodies! Thanks, Mumbo!
Can we make it only 1 layer ?
Is this still working ? Trying to build this in windows 10 edition
Mobs spawn (These numbets are a diameter of a sphere) 25 to 54 blocks away on that version. Use a mob farm made for it. I've seen many designs. If you reply to this, Ill link one. Once wither roses get added, use those.
@@wigglebot2368 I would appreciate it.

Love this build, used it a few times on different maps. I'm a bit of a redstone noob so I was wondering if you could give some advice on how to redo the sticky pistons circuits at the corners at 7:27 to work in the better together update?
I think this is my 5th time visiting this video, my go to for mob farms :)
does it still work? I am having trouble getting mobs to spawn
