On Day 13 of our adventures in New Zealand, we journeyed towards FRANZ JOSEF - a town known for its rainforests, waterfalls, lakes, wildlife, and glaciers. Along the way, we hiked to The Blue Pools where we saw some of the most pristine, crystal clear waters in the world!
Just a word of caution: watch out for the sand flies on the hike to The Blue Pools! I was pretty covered up during the hike but still got a few painful bites on my ankles and one on my face. The itchiness and swelling didn’t go away for weeks.
