Supposedly "original gangster”, can be seen as “old generation", personally viewed as “old-school”.🤓 I’ve been into Korean music since 1998 when I was 15, and using “kpop stan” is more catchy (super cringe or not) than “person who’s listened to Korean music since 1998”, amirite or AMIRITE.😂

I became an avid Korean music aka Kpop listener/lover since 1998. Korean and rap music were my coping mechanisms from the bullying I experienced in middle school through high school and my love for the genre has stuck by me ever since. The genre, along with artists like Michael Jackson, Aaliyah, Britney Spears, etc. then motivated me into becoming a hip-hop/pop dancer, which was a very active lifestyle for me literally throughout my whole 20s. (XTRA DANCE 411- I danced for, trained, and performed with 4 different dance teams. My first and main dance team who started my "dance life" was with Marvelous Motion (who later became IaMmE, America's Best Dance Crew Season 6 Champions). A lot of my dance training came from Di "Moon" Zhang, Brandon "747" Harrell, Emilio Dosal, SOREAL, and from attending many dance classes in Houston and L.A. (from amazing local talent to widely-known talents such as Parris Goebel, Keone Madrid, Kyle Hanagami, Lando Wilkins, Mister Wiggles, Rino Nakasone)
Unfortunately, I took a huge break from Korean music and dance around 2015 when I was officially diagnosed with lupus nephritis, seizures, and a heart murmur. I was receiving and battling years of chemotherapy and dialysis along with taking 32 pills a day, so I had no mental/emotional/spiritual room to keep myself updated with Kpop or dance. Luckily, I'm in remission now. That doesn't mean that lupus and seizures are gone because I am still very capable of frequent flare-ups if I don't take care of myself, but I make sure to do so enough to manage and live as "normally" as possible. I am also not capable of being an active dancer like I used to be due to my chronic illnesses, but I’m still a dancer in my mind, heart, and soul.
ALSO! Just to be SUPER clear- me calling myself an "OG kpop stan" does NOT mean that anyone who's listened to kpop after me is inferior or less-than. A kpop lifestyle is a kpop lifestyle regardless of time. Please don’t get that sh*t twisted.😛 Sooo I am currently and actively keeping a weather eye on the KPOP horizon and also using what I’ve learned from my dance years to give credit where it’s due!

I have seen other idols dance but I think hyunjin's dance is different he has his own personality and he dances very clean, I can't imagine how much practice he did to become as good as he is now, he worked so hard we are proud of you hyunjin.
The fact that he said Hiphop was hard for him before, shows exactly how much work he put in!! This boy works more than the devil and it shows!! I couldn't breathe the whole video. Hyunjin deserves everything and more.
Hyunjin really is the only 4th gen dancer that I can say he's another level he has his own style he reminds me of kai and teamin, my top3.. hyunjin facial expression is everything, he put his everything his feelings his power in dance ,he's mu favorite dancer in skz
So Hyunjin's my bais right... I feel like they should have put a warning on how amazing his video was. Like I almost died from his spectacular dancing and his VISUALS... I mean you can't expect anything less but greatness from Hyunjin and that's just a fact.
Can't wait for the release of the unfiltered version and the choreo record to see the process of this performance.
I was waiting to see your reaction and I knew it would take long especially from a dancers perspective. Hyunjin literally killed the stage, the way he expresses the movements makes you want to watch him again and again.
there’s just this magnetic pull from hyunjin when he dances. i adore him so much n he’s such an enigma when he performs. this choreo ATE on all levelz. the dancers and him as a collective drew a addictive picture during this whole video n i’m so proud of him n them. bro hyunjin was feelin himself the entire time n as he should. my ult did thatt 🖤

When I saw the video the first time, I just needed stop everything for 10 minutes because I needed to process the video. Literally I can’t even talk because the video kills me haha then I saw it again and again and again. He’s an amazing performer and dancer, soooo amazing ✨ You can feel it in this video.

If feel like the hat represents the saying "new hat, new tricks". In the interview he said he wanted to show more of a tougher more hip hop side of dancing so I feel that the hat is like the intro for that side of his dancing.
This performance was so good it made me SICK. The whole way they staged this was genius. The musicality. The styling. Hyunjin is such a unique dancer, you can see and feel everything that is within him. He is top tier for me on best Kpop dancers.
Yeah in the teaser Hyunjin himself said he was going to focus a lot on angles in this and it's evident, lots of perfected angles in this.
