@@ike9167 It arrived in the mail today. Have to wait on a SDB to arrive to enjoy it, but I am excited. Is there a rules list for the Meteor2021 code? It would be fun to have a custom rules card with the 2021 code rules.
This is awesome, breaths new life into these old games. I have a Meteor & a Trident and going to buy the "BALLY/STERN ARDUINO ADAPTER" kit from ROYGBEV on pinside and look to see if I can get this up and running...... I will be documenting and posting my progress as I go but well done and thanks for this. Trident Revisited Mermaid Edition here I come.
@@ike9167 Will do... think I will do my Meteor first. Once that's done might tackle a starting from scratch and try my hand at programming my Stingray (start small as this is a super simple rule set)... and will document my journey on my channel so sure I will need some guidance then. Any thoughts on starting a discord server for BSOS??
@@ike9167 no worries Ike, there was a special USB driver provided by board manufacturer for the CH340. I have the Arduino programmed now and the board has been tested in pass-through mode. Working now on connecting and loading the Wave Trigger.
@@tgxperience There is some information about the Wav Trigger install here (scroll to the bottom): ballysternos.github.io/install.html and Troxel has an install video here: czcams.com/video/GNhFrXtcRHA/video.html&ab_channel=TroxelRepair
Sounds awesome, I'm looking for a meteor now to install this! I have an important question: is it possible to change the music? Star Wars for example for me it will not be possible. 😅
Yes - changing music is as simple as replacing a WAV file on the SD card in the sound board. I'll put up an article about it on PinballRefresh.com in the coming weeks.
@@ike9167 It's great. Your modifications are really interesting, special mention for the evolutionary spinner sounds, it would be really interesting to know more about your sound work since a lot of care is given to it. Are you the one who sells the complete kits already prepared on Pinside?
I have a lot of fun putting together the sound packages. No, that's not me selling kits on Pinside. I don't currently sell anything, but I put my designs & code out for free and people have stepped up to sell them pre-assembled.
This is absolutely brilliant. Thanks for sharing your hobby with us! I'm going to try this but I have honey do lists, and British car im finishing, but great for rainy day stuff. I'm truly excited to learn, and do this to my meteor I'm restoring. I wonder what this would be like for Stern lighting which I restored 2 years ago! Any plans for that machine? Thanks again going to watch all your videos. This makes a change to just watching repair videos.
Will do I purchased the kit from pinside. Has the one of the boards on Amazon was no stock. So I went to pinside and purchased the kit from them with sd card complete plug and play for 149 bucks I figured for my time to install and wire up, and get all files which I'm not savy with computer installing files, I can fix anything electronic but the computer programming stuff. I'm just not familiar with how to put files in folders or as cards! It's all done with this kit and they probably spent some time and effort then they have to ship it which is free shipping and I'm totally up for spending extra for someone's time! The stern lighting is a two decks game with 3 balls and it has two sound cards. Check it out sometime. I've been watching more of your videos and enjoying it's content. Cheers we are probably the same age, has I'm 56 and still at it with the fascination with old solid state pinball machines.
Ike thanks for checking in. I was actually working on it. My meteor drop target needed some new targets ,3 springs were missing and 3 reset arms. I've purchased a new solenoid driver board I have a few things to do. I checked the website for that module I purchased from roy. Trying to figure were the one wire goes on the mou board, I have a alltek. Maybe you might know? Has soon has I'm finished I will post thanks again and happy New year.
I am very very excited about this 3 >3
Fantastic add to this game, thanks! Been looking for one for a while now.
This is great. I’m just not skilled enough to do this. But still very kewl!
Brilliant
Just bought a kit to install on a project Meteor I picked up a few days ago. Really excited to try it out. Thank you!
Let me know how it turns out!

Ike, you did a GREAT job on the rule set... very much going to build mine up with the Nano.
Post a video when you're done!
Very cool! And I happen to own a Meteor ... AND I have experience with Arduinos! :-)
Let me know when you get it running!
