I got a wooden box from my grandmother that has bells in it. I absolutely love it. It sits on a shelf and every once in a while someone will pick it up and be shocked that it starts singing at them.

love that the tangle was like "most intriguing sculpture ever designed" and but its basically a big shiny version of the adhd toy (which is called a tangle as well)
That Heaven's Bell has a really haunting quality to it.
Tangled would be a fidget thing for my ADHD.
There's others that are smaller, usually plastic, that are sold as fidgets!

As an autistic kid that loves bells, you cannot imagine how much I want that heavens bell whatever it's called I love the sound of it. I see myself playing with it for hours not noticing I've been on the floor tiring everyone's ears for hours. Love it.

I had a small plastic version of the tangled toy. Made some pretty crazy shapes; had to remember how to get it back to the original hooked spiral :P
That brick is something that should be donated to every elementary school and to teacher's facilities. If the cost wouldn't be that much, would 10000% get one to our school. That is the feeling we have sometimes with education in many levels. Would also be awesome metronome in music!

Cool gadgets! You should check out the “feel flux” It’s a little copper tube with a magnetic ball. A super satisfying desktop gadget that uses Lenz’s law. It’s the favorite gadget I have!

I used to do a similar thing to your raspberry thing for the top. I would chew ice while watching tv, but it had to be an old CRT tv, not the flat screens of today. Chewing the ice would vibrate my head slightly and the tv looked strange. I'll have to try the noise now!

That first one feels like an update of a form of folk magic, used as both an invocation and evocation.
You would imprint the intention of the spell on a pin, needle or nail that you would drive into a candle at a suitable height.
Focussing on the intent while burning the candle, the flame would either deliver the intent on the aether or burn away what you wanted to expell. Kinda like a fever tree.
This probably also shares roots with the catholic practice of lighting a candle, though considering how important artificial light was back in the day, that's like saying breathing shares the same roots as burning a log. Or like saying European breathing shares roots with middle Eastern breathjng.
Many different names, but always has needles and/or candles in it.

I think the little spatula thing that came with the candle is so you can make the sound intentionally on the dish without having to wait for the candle to burn down. Maybe just to show people that ask what it is after finding a candle on a dish in your home, but definitely don’t care enough to stick around till you light it and wait.
