I'm keeping you in my prayers, Brooke. I was diagnosed in 2013 with several auto immune conditions. One being Lupus as well as RA and OA. Life changes a bit and you have to know your limits. Don't be afraid to ask for help when you are feeling weak. Take it easy, know your limits and know you have lots of people praying for your healing. Blessings to you, Jason and Mary Carl.
Hi kjoyce! You are not alone with Lupus, RA and OA. It took 65yrs to diagnose me and now I'm 75. I will keep you in my prayers with Brooke. Stay strong! 💖🙏💖🙏💖🙏💖
Brooke, you will always have our support and prayers. Rest sweet lady! 💖🙏💖🙏💖🙏💖🙏💖
Wow, girly. I was just doing some research a few weeks ago. I have RA and had some test done with a new rheumatologist. One test showed positive lupus, but everything else tested positive for RA, which I've had since the age of 15. The doctor said it isn't uncommon for a positive test like that because my inflammation numbers are super high. My research showed me that you can indeed have Lupus and RA together, but that is very rare I'm sorry you have to deal with that.😢
Brooke, just take it a day at a time, and when the body tells you to rest, listen. You got this!
You are a force to be reckoned with. Sweet lady do small chores around your place where you feel comfortable enough to do so , but please don’t overdo. Until you know what you are going to be fighting please use abundance of caution until your condition is diagnosed. You are a strong individual but please don’t wear yourself out. Save strength for healing.
Sending prayers to you Brooke
Brooke, I also went through a debilitating auto immune disease. What I now realize is that my lack of empathy for myself made it worse. Grateful to see you acknowledge how tough it is. Praying.
Amen, sister!
Brooke, I agree @judithrivin2031, I also have had auto immune disease, then adult human growth hormone disease (problem with my pituitary gland) which caused heart damage. I was a very active person and athlete, then I kept going downhill and had seen doctor after doctor and it took years before I finally went to a specialist that figured what was happening. It is so frustrating when you have this stuff and it made it hard, or impossible, doing all the stuff you love to do. Praying for everybody that is frustrated with trying to do the smallest things!
I’ve gone thru breast cancer this year. And giving yourself some grace to feel bad, rest, etc is very difficult. I had to learn that. I hate not being able to lift the heavy things(dealing with some lymphedema), doing the normal homestead chores I would normally do etc.. giving yourself grace and the space to take care of you and not feel guilty is hard. Sending you love.❤️
Your Prayer Warriors are on Duty Brooke. You just do what you can do, we have your back. 🙏🏻💞🙏🏻
Gentle hugs to you, Brooke. Take a rest when needed, and do not feel guilt for that rest. Great video and very smart stocking up on hay.
Its so cute that peaches has decided shes an indoor pig now 😊
@granitestater1029😂
Good morning Brooke, I'm 54 and I know what you are going through. I still set goals but I break up my tasks and force myself to slow down or stop for as long as I need to. It is frustrating that things take longer, but I find I can do more just by stopping before I get too tired. Just find your "too tired" ❤🙏
Brenda
I agree totally 💯.
Yes! Do what you can do each day. One day at a time. Some days are better than others.
God be with you, Brooke God is good. Mary Carl can step up and help mom more now when mom needs the help.
Brooke, I feel for what you are going thru! Having been thru something similar several years ago and living on maximum allowed steroids for three years, I started researching alternative approaches for the issues my doctors told me were untreatable. I’m happy to report that with a shift in my diet and the help of supplements to fill in mineral needs not covered by diet, I was able to resolve my misery and regain my life. Along with your medical journey, please explore naturalpathic options. They are not promoted by western medicine but do work and are safer than steroids and other drugs.
AMEN ! Steroids only are not safe for anyone. I also changed my diet - big time , and take many supplements. I loved seeing that even the farm animals needed additional minerals !
So true, with advanced neuropathy & bone to bone knees I take several supplements & found they help a lot. 🙏❤️
Wow Brooke these comments are encouraging for me too. It’s comforting to see other hard working women who have had to learn “new limits” and no… it’s time to rest. Thank you everyone. It is not an easy lesson and it’s humbling for sure. Thanks for being open about your struggle because it’s helping many others too. I just keep thanking God for his lessons ❤️ and care.
Yes Janice! Absolutely right on all counts.
Please be careful with steroids. Due to an autoimmune disease known as Bechets disease I was on Prednisone for a couple years which helped with my awful symptoms but I started to get awful pain in my right knee and now dealing avascular necrosis and now need a total knee replacement. Damned if we do and damned if we don't. I will keep u in my thoughts and prayers. Fatigue is definitely REAL and 1 of the worse symptoms. Good luck and hopefully u will get answers soon.
Will be continuing to pray for your healing and strengthening Brook! God bless y’all! ❤
I am keeping you on my prayers, Brooke. You are a definite warrior. We love you, Jason, and Mary Carl so much. Peaches is so sweet. You will get healed hopefully soon.
I completely understand, Brooke. Adjusting to how much strength I had to get something done was a hard lesson. After twice having to call a friend to come help when I'd run out of steam, I taught myself to gauge where my halfway point was. If I reached that point and wasn't yet done, I went home anyway. I got the most critical things done first, to make sure, but things sometimes had to wait which is frustrating. Hoping they find a good resolution to your autoimmune problems and you get healthy again!
Much love and prayers, SOUTH GEORGIA PEACH 🍑 ❤❤❤❤
I was diagnosed with fibro almost 20 yrs ago , went thru many tests until they finally found out , i was pretty devastated, and took me awhile to come to terms with the new normal, now at 62 and a back surgery under my belt and another in my future, well it's not easy,
Keeping you in my thoughts and wishing you all the best! We love you Brooke! One day at a time at a slower speed , and not beating yourself up is hard to get used to but you can do it!
Much love from Ks ❤
Thank you for the video!
Good morning, Brooke.
Gods watching over you!
You got this! 🎅🏻🎄
🇺🇸💖
Take it easy Brooke. Rest when you need to! Your health comes first. I hope you start feeling better sooner than later! Have a nice rest of the day! 😊❤️❤️
I’ve had some experience dealing with health issues and I found that I needed to understand my limits and pace myself. It’s okay to accept help when offered or to ask for help when needed. You are passing a blessing onto someone else. My prayers to you, Jason and MaryCarl for strength to carry on and patience while you heal.
Stay strong and our love and prayers are with you all!
Don't push yourself we love you and your family
Thank you Brooke for sharing your day with us. I too went through what you’re going through while I was in the middle of going through Nursing School. It was a devastating time for me and my children, but we made it because God held me up through it all. I know you will get past this. Never give up.
Amen ! 🙏🙏🙏
I have been diagnosed with RA OA for several years now. Just need to slow down some, which I am NOT good at, and take good care of yourself. Trying to get better at taking care of myself also. I am a nurse, retired now. It is hard to ask for help, when you have always BEEN the help for others. Take care and I will pray for you.
You look really nice, Brooke. I love your hairstyle and you wear those shades 😎 like a boss! I also love that jacket you are wearing. The silkies have grown so well since the last time I have seen them. Enjoyed seeing the cats playing outside. Great video, Brooke and thank you for the update on your health. We are praying for you 🙏🏻🙏🏻
A
I pray you feel better soon, Brooke! Don’t push yourself too hard, especially initially. Love your videos & TYTY for sharing! ❤️❤️🙏❤️❤️
Brooke please know your Cog Hill Farm Family are praying for you. I have posted over and over there is nothing you can't do. So try not to over do. Keep searching for answers about your health. I was diagnosed with Fibromyalgia in my early 30s. I was born with multiple birth defects. Between the arthritis in all my joints and spine and Fibromyalgia I have chronic pain. I have good and bad days. I do what I can when I can. Like you I had a terrible time asking for help. I have no issues asking for help now. Thankfully my family lives a mile away. ❤
Praying for you and complete recovery
Ansley, blessings to you and your close family. 🕊
Brooke, this is hard to get use to. I have an auto immune condition too. It's been two years now. I had to adjust my life and how I lived it. The days that I felt like myself, before this illness, I take advantage of those wonderful days and get as much as I can done. It does help if I can get ahead on some things. The days where I can only move enough to get to the bathroom, I rest. I did learn to ask for help, had too. My adult children help out a lot. They want too and I let them. My youngest daughter is a hairdresser and she does my hair now. I can't drive anymore so my son's take time to take me anywhere I need to go. Just to get me out of the house, lol. Yes, the illness took my legs and feet out, no strength in them. I am a widow so I do live by myself. BUT....my kids are thinking of adding on to the big house so that we can be an extended family. We enjoy being together all the time and it was hard on the kids as they went out in this world to get work and live their own lives. Now, it's their dream to move back to the farm again! Just take your time Brooke and do what you can and learn to leave alone the things you can't do anymore. You are going to be a beacon of light Brooke for all of us who are in a struggle of some kind with this illness. And most important keep GOD first. Many, all over the world, are praying for you Brooke. GOD bless you with excellent health, in His son's name Jesus the Christ, Amen.
Thanks for the video, Brooke. I don't know what it's like to have auto-immune issues, but I understand adversity of all sorts. I pray God shows you His reasons. You have a unique situation that you have a voice that can reach many via CZcams and other platforms. Your attitude and approach; how you deal with this is on display for everyone to see. God will use that to help others. God's word says that he uses all things to the good of those who love Him. That's a promise and God never breaks His promises. He will use this to your good and the good of all of us who believe in His Son, Jesus Christ.
Amen
Amen
Amen
Yes! Amen 🙏.
Sending you healing thoughts and tons of 💗, Brooke! We all admire you and all you do!!!🫶🏼
Hope you get it all figured out soon praying for you guys
Before I turned 50 my doctor thought I had rheumatoid arthritis but the ruehmitologist ruled it out and said I had fibromyalgia. They said no blood test for it but there are certain spots on your body that are tender with fibromyalgia. Stress can bring on a flare up. I actually think I had mild symptoms for years before but after my back surgery at 50 really brought it on. 16 years later I know not to overdo it and rest when needed. I am on medication for it . Praying you feel better soon.🙏❤️
When she first describe her symptoms it sounded like fibromyalgia to me. I was diagnosed in 1996. At that time it was fairly new and a lot of doctors considered it to be physiologic instead of physical. That has all changed now. But that was a long rough road
I have Fibromyalgia also, along with RA, OA & Osteoporosis of the hips and spine. I’m allergic to the biologics so I am on Zeljans XR for now. So far, no hives or ripping my skin off.
I feel like my bones itch and I’ve been microwaved, then rolled over by an asphalt roller. I live in our garden tub ( tankless water heater is my bestie ).
I retired at 48 medically.
Praying so hard that the Xeljanz is my miracle.
Your in our prayers.
God bless y’all
❤🙏🏻🇨🇦
Oh Brooke, thinking about you & keeping you in my prayers. I admire your strength & positivity.
Good Morning Brooke. Yes, take it day by day and do the best you can. My biggest piece of advice is to listen to your body. I have three autoimmune diseases and if my body says rest..I rest etc. My thoughts are with you and Jason. You are a Warrior ❤
Brooke youve got this. New norms or not you are still a very capable, steong, independant woman who will conti ue to ROCK at your content creating and caring for and loving you family, farm and community. You are amazing and God will help you through this. We all love you, we are rooting for you and we are all here for you!!!! ❤
Brooke, I'm praying for you! Please don't push yourself too hard. Only do what you feel like doing. DeeDee will have extra time to warm your lap and give you more kisses!!!❤❤❤❤❤
Brooke, everyone has their strengths and weaknesses, concentrate on getting yourself sorted and definitely ask for help when you have to, it doesn't mean that you are weak it means that you know your limitations of right now and that to me would be a good thing. Prayers to you and get well soon.
What you have gotten completed in this video is a lot when you feel drained! Rest up ❤️
Brooke, I hear you! My motto from eatly childhood on was to stamp my foot and say I do it myself! In later life I have learned that I can not always do it myself.
Learning to say "help" is very difficult. One day I was talking with my Pastor about this. She said, people need to be able to give. If there is no request for help their chance to do so is lessened. Giving and receiving are two halves of a whole. Learning to accept my new physical restrictions and listening to my body are all part of accepting the new direction God is sending me. Not saying I'm happy about it, but I'm slowly learning to say "Thy Will be done" and smile. May the Lord bless you and yours in these difficult times.
Yes it will be up and down like you said. You get familiar with the disease and are able to adapt. God bless and stay safe. We wish you the best.
I fully understand what you mean about simple tasks being difficult. I was diagnosed with multiple myeloma 3 years ago. Some days, just doing the simplest things can be frustrating. Prayers for a speedy recovery. 🙏
Hey Brooke ❤thanks for sharing another great video! I love ❤️ going on road trips with you! Good job on the tractor 🚜 ❤
Brooke, you are a special lady! Your values and attitudes are an inspiration to me to be a more caring and loving person!
You are in my prayers, and prayers work better then any medicine ever invented! You STILL do more then I think I've ever done. Your an amazing mother, wife, and overall person sweetie. I'm confident you will heal and heal quickly. Take care and rest more!!! xoxo Nancy
Good Morning Brooke, “ All we want for Christmas is for Brooke to keep Feeling Better”, because every time we see her Smile it makes us feel better. One step at a time, you are achieving a good amount of activity and sharing it with us. Hopefully our Warm Wishes and Good Throughs will fill your Sails to carry you along the uncharted waters. 😀🙏👍🙏👍🙏👍
Good to see you on the tractor doing what you love to do. Prayers continue for you to feel better. I just need to mention how much I love Mildred's fuzzy ears and Sylvester's white whiskers.
Good for you Brook! You did something that benefited the farm and you took a chore off of Jason so you did great, pat yourself on the back for a productive day, no matter how big or how small the task, it’s something to be proud of and things will get better!!! ♥️🙏🏻
Why are there so many views and so little likes. Come on people give the lady a thumbs up. 👍
You did well, Brooke. Hopefully the drs can get you on the mend. Take care ❤
Praying for you Brooke.
I love watching your videos.
You've got this.
Brook please take it easy! The new “you” needs to be OK if things don’t get done in your timing. The Lord will watch over you and Jason and Jason knows that you are doing your best! Rest when you need to and just give yourself permission to pull back some. Everything will work out! We’ve got you covered in prayer!
Take care, Brooke, take the time you need. Good thinking about the hay. You never know if there could be a shortage.
I love your spirit and can't wait to see what you can accomplish. Life gets us down but we are still useful even if we have to change our plans sometimes.
good morning Brook ! we love you and your family ! Keep praying
You are awesome Brooke keep healthy and glad your feeling able to do what makes you feel good even when your body is saying different sending prayers 🙏
Mrs Cog Hill You Are In My Thoughts & Prayers Everyday & Night.
I feel for you Brooke. I have had fibromyalgia for years. There are days when my entire body hurts. I also have arthritis in certain joints. It's a battle. You just have to work with your body and not overdo. I hope you get answers soon. ❤
I am happy to see that you got quite a lot done in getting the hay, water test, and the thing for the well house, Brooke ❤❤. Blessings to you, Jason, & Mary Carl 😊😊😊
You did SO much! And you were right about Jessie...she and the other animals would be so happy to help if they were able. Much love to all of you.
Good grief. You got more done in a day than I get done in a week, and then you probably cooked meals, too. You’re amazing.
Brooke, I am praying that they figure out exactly which autoimmune condition you have and you get some relief soon. Unfortunately, for me I don't check enough boxes for any specific autoimmune condition. I use tart cherry juice concentrate 2 tbsps at night to help with joint pain. Also, I recently realized that infrared sauna works wonders for my joint pain. My flares are the worst in the winter. I also have to limit my white sugar intake. I hope my suggestions work for you. I'm 5 years in and still no diagnosis but finding ways to get relief. Sending prayers your way.💜
My prayers are absolutely with you. I have MS and I can tell you that it can be life-changing. the things you used to do you may not be able to do anymore. But what I can tell you is that in the end, you always find ways to be able to do the things you always did.
As always, it was a joy to see you, step by step is all we can do. Love ya Ms Brooke
I am praying for you Brooke and all yours family
Thanks Brooke for this very nice video. Please listen to your body. Do not forch yourself to do things, or to think you MUST do things for a new video for us. We will be waiting for you if you can't make every due date for a new video.
Another great video Brooke! I'm praying you will find answers for your condition and feel much better soon! What a farm girl!!You do it all!
Brooke, I enjoyed your video today!! 🥰❤️ so glad you are doing some better with your autoimmune. You do have to take it a day at a time and getting your mind to accept that is the hardest part. Sending prayers for you and your family ❤️🩹🙏🏻
Hi Brooke, don’t push yourself to hard we want you well or much better so you can fully enjoy life. 👍👍❤️❤️🎄🎄🇨🇦
My daughter has MS for 13 years, experiencing a wicked flare for the first time. My thoughts and prayers 🙏 are with you.
My prayers are with her 20 years of Ms here
@tinaljohnson9253 where do you live?
You have done really well today, Brooke. I admire your efforts.
I'm almost 55 on the 28th Dec and just going thru peri menopause. Things that was easy to do seems harder now. Take care of yourself Brooke 😊
Now, that your farm is growing and you both only have two hands maybe it's time to hire a farm hand 😊😊
Praying for your healing Brooke and for all. 🙏 🕊
So sorry you are going through this Brooke. Have you been tested for Lupus. Not just the regular test but the next level one. Take good care of you. God will get you through this and the answers and meds to help. Love you all ❤
Prayers for you Brooke. Take things easy and on good days don’t push yourself to the bad ones.
Sending hugs, dearest Brooke! Thanks for keeping us up to date - because you know we love you!
Brooke, you know talking about your health issues and struggles helps not only yourself but your friends on this post because there are probably a lot of people at home that are watching this and now know they are not alone. May your days get better and easier and hoping the doctors come up with a solution.
Wishing you the very best, and a speedy recovery. I can only imagine how difficult this is for you and the whole family! I’m so sorry. Here’s hoping the test results, and the Specialist, can treat you quick and easy! You’re on my prayer list and I think of you daily.
You all are in my prayers too, Brooke! We all love you and your wonderful family! May God bless and keep you all well!
I love how you use areas for other uses when they are not in use. The kittens are growing up and are so cute. Animals are smarter than we give them credit for. Positive thoughts for feeling better. The chicks are so cute
Keeping you lifted in prayer Brooke. Do what you can, rest as you must....lay it at HIS feet, he'll pick it up from there.
🙏🙏🙏
I really enjoy your videos Brooke. Take it easy. I know you have a lot on your plate. But your health is more important. I think we have a lot in common. I can’t just sit around when I know there’s stuff to get done. I’m keeping you in my thoughts and prayers.
Brook, I have learned during my 40 something years of having Multiple Sclerosis (which is thought to be an autoimmune disorder) that you work/do what you can on days that you feel like you can and rest on the other days. But don’t overdo it. Listen to your body and your ❤doctors. Take care of yourself. Your family needs you.
Yes Brooke, we are praying for you. Thank you for the video today. I always love to see what you are doing on the farm. I was wondering if the milk room had space enough for the swing? That would give you a place to rest when you are in there. It could also free up wall space to stack some hay bales. Of course the canned ham could go out to it's shelter. Just thinking. I'm not telling you what to do.I hope you are feeling much better soon!
Praying for your complete healing! I'm sure you know you have an army of fans behind you praying❣🙏
Praying for you Brooke 🙏 ❤️ and your family and your animals 🙏 ❤️
You are not the type of person who will let anything hold you back for long. Keep doing what the professionals advise, rest when you need to and know in your heart and your mind that we are here for you, we will wait as you get back to your usual self and if we could come and help you there would be a traffic back like no one has ever seen. You are loved by us all.❤❤❤
Thanks for taking us along on your busy day! I’m glad to see you getting around okay. The farm is just a magical place and I so enjoy your videos!❤❤❤
You got a lot done today and you got it done without being too awful tired... You in my prayers always and will continue to be in my prayers❤
Thank you so much for keeping us updated about your health. You are so smart and reasonable about just moving forward the best you can. Wishing you the best.😀
Brooke you look very beautiful today and I am glad that you are on your way to being well and hearty once again! Your adventures as a family are so rewarding for us all.
Keeping you in my prayers Brooke 🙏 ❤️
Brooke, my prayers and thoughts while you are going through your health issues. You are a strong and kind woman, wife and mother. I enjoy watching your care and love for all the critters, especially the kitties, dogs and Miss Mildred.😊😊 Take care. You did a great job on Moody the hay bale. Very creative. Be sure and rest when you can.
We love you Brooke ❤ please don't push yourself 😢
We are here for you, you got this! I am praying for you and an answer for you will come soon. ❤️🌻
🙏🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻for you Brooke you will get through this just one day at a time rest when you need it ❤️🦆🐐🐐🐄🌻🚜🐈⬛🙏🏻
Keep smiling Brooke and know we are here for you in thoughts and prayers. Get well soon.
Hang in there Brooke. The waiting is the hard part. You have lots of folks who are praying and believing you will get a definitive answer.
Good morning Brooke thank you for this video of spending time with you and kitties have a blessed day ❤🙏❤️🙏❤️🙏
Nice to see you getting things done. One of the secrets of living with an autoimmune disease is recognizing our limits and celebrating our successes -- whatever size they are! You've got big ones to celebrate today! I'm reflecting on what it was like for me in the beginning, and it was just a struggle because I didn't have any type of diagnosis for at least the first year. I'm very happy for you, Brooke that there's so much info out there now and many women willing to share their experiences. Be good to yourself the way you'd be good to a relative or friend -- and I'm not kidding about this!
Brooke just take it slow and easy while doing your chores. Praying for continued strength.
🙏prayers for your health and for you and your family 🙏
Continued daily prayers for you Brooke. You are an awesome person. So many viewers have shared their life stories and it's so inspiring. Prayers for everyone. Thanks for sharing. ❤
One step, one chore, one day at a time! Get better soon!
Brooke, you are one amazing woman. Facing adversity as you are is no easy task. Please be kind to yourself and find a way to ask for help when you can. We all love you, Jason, and MaryCarl, and all your furred and feathered babies! ❤🙏❤
Moody and Mildred are brother and sister.....orphans adopted by a loving family. Happens often in the people world, and in the pet world. Very best wishes !!!
