I'm Dominican, due to the structure of the Architecture of Dominican homes, debris blows into the house all the time, so it's cleaner for our feet to just keep our shoes on. We only take our shoes off on the day of the week we deep clean the house, it was the best feeling ever.

Generally speaking since there is a chronic lack of air conditioning women tend to wear skimpy outfits all day long in the summer (nowdays in the Balkans those butt crack shorts seem to be more popular than dresses, but short summer dresses are the classic, not coctail dresses like the one she wears in the video). The ice thing lol! When we were in Budapest a server found out we were American and asked if we would like ice with our drinks. We’d been there several months and had gotten used to drinks without it, but were pretty excited to have it offered. We said yes, and instead of putting the ice in our drinks (like we do here) she brought our drinks along with a big cup of ice which was totally genius. We could each choose how much we wanted and not have watered down sodas. She thought the whole American ice thing was hilarious and so did we. We all had a big laugh about it😂
Except for the part about how to use cutlery/utensils? Americans switch the fork from the left hand to the right hand after cutting. Europeans always keep the fork in the left hand and don't put the knife down.
I have a garbage disposal and I use it and I will put ice in water. It is 100° in South Texas on the daily. I don’t expect guest to takeoff their shoes in My Home but I will use my garbage disposal because I don’t have chickens running around in the backyard
