It is interesting that a lot of people don’t understand that the meme of owls being “sky cats” is closer to reality than they imagine. They don’t have the best reputation for ease of partnership in falconry, but like most birds of prey they will form a symbiotic relationship with a person who feeds, works and hunts with them. They’re a lot like cats in that they’re still wild, they just recognize the benefit in maintaining the relationship with their person.
I've heard that aeronautical engineers study owl feathers because they're so quiet when they fly. They're designing the turbine blades on jet engines after what they've learned from studying their feathers. Nature's pretty cool.

The question is not whether you can own an owl, it’s whether you should.
Her job is very important
Yeah considering how humans are constantly disturbing the ecosystem and they face extinction from lack of habitat
They constantly have to be tethered down and they weren't domesticated as companions for thousands of years like dogs. Definitely not a pet
Yes the same question can be applied with dogs and cats and pigs and cows and mice and squirrels and parots and horses.
That is the question though
Her passion to what she does radiates through my screen.. Her voice and her words are so calming.

Yes, it is amazing. Every feather has a comb like feature on the edge to distribute the turbulence as it hits each feather.
