I think COE is a necessary evil although other countries have yet to catch up. My COE expiring soon. Fortunately, my hard work over the past 10 years have enough to buy another 10 year COE. Doing Grab soon from part time to full time to cover petrol hikes. We should try to use our roads more as tax payers paid for the roads and repairs and maintenance. Dont waste our tax paid. GST also tax we pay.

I’m so glad that the government is looking into things like FMLM experiences and I’m thankful for learning these things in school. Just wanted to expand on the point of whether we will be 1 mile to an MRT, I think from an urban planning perspective, it’s gonna be tough to make it absolute and say physically it will be 1 mile away. But like what minister said, the experience of travelling from your house to the MRT can make you FEEL like it is 1 mile away. Meaning making ur travel more enjoyable, make your experience of travel better and hence you feel like the mrt is much nearer to your house than it seems and that’s more viable and better for everyone! Hence why most people use time duration to talk abt how far smth is rather than the absolute distance. Hopefully I’m accurate on this 😵‍💫

Is it possible for you guys to discuss learning disabilities like ADHD, ADD, &dyslexia? The cost of diagnosing and seeking help in Singapore is insane. Most of the treatment and services are for young children/sudent. During my childhood, most of the attention was paid to visual dyslexia, I had no idea there were seven other types of dyslexia. As a result, most cases go undiagnosed. What are some ways you can help yourself as an adult who realizes you have dyslexia?
As someone with phonological dyslexia, reading more books allows me to express myself better. It is helpful to use software like Grammarly and Word Tune to cross-check the essay/proposal I am writing. However, my main concern is speaking confidently. I tend to slow down when I come across long words. This makes me feel nervous and awkward in front of others.

Transport is a public good which is provided for by the gov. It is same like having SAF for defense and as such and you do not directly ask people to "pay more for security" because you need 8 F35s that costs 2 billion. Building more lines and transport network is the same as expanding the military budget as they are public goods, and is unfair to raise fares because you can and getting more revenue from fares. The fare model doesn't make sense because improving public transport connectivity and infrastructure will have long term beneficial impact to society (positive externality) like cutting CO2, less dependence on cars, and greater productivity because of ease for getting from place to place. All these will make up for the costs of building more train lines and their maintenance in the long run.

COE and vehicle taxes - excluding GST and excise duty - will contribute $6.46 billion in 2022 . All these revenues should go to subsidise local residents' (except tourists) public transport costs. Free for NS and senior citizens. This is how the super-rich can live harmoniously with the rest and reduce the envy arising from high gini coefficient ratio.

i think the ministry could do more in terms of drivers welfare. everyday the bus drivers hv to endure so much noise generated esp when some suckers try to blast up the vol from their hp loud speaker playing games or watching videos. this could directly lead to accidents when drivers could not fully focus on the roads while driving. this is for the drivers. same thing applies for trains. people blasting away as well. many passengers i feel would appreciate a peaceful and soothing ride to and forth. no one likes a noisy cabin after a hard day of work etc. this is for our own fellow passengers. i therefore strongly encourage the ministry to implement an all ban for loud speaker usage in all devices in public trains / buses. enough of all lip service. do something constructive pls.
