In this session attendees were introduced to some of the logic behind key machine learning concepts for unstructured text, such as: Classification, Unsupervised Learning, and Topic Modeling. They worked with pre-fabricated code in Jupyter Notebooks and real life examples on UC’s own digital scholarship platform to better understand where ML fits in to academic research.
