this is what the media don't want us to see, black Excellence...thank you black queens.
They're not old. They're seasoned.
Love that!!😀
Right.. the way they kept saying ooolddd. Like Mr. stated watch urself
Right! Seasoned or older sounds more respectful.
This 75 year old, Black grandmother, who grew up under Jim Crow in Georgia, would like to say "Thank You" for this beautiful conversation with your grandparents. TGBTG - May they continue to be blessed and be a blessing. Glad to have them on the "old" team!!.
Your grandparents exude wisdom. They are not old... they are seasoned. I thoroughly enjoyed this. It was so heartwarming. I totally agree that young people need to listen. Let us get our sentence out before you cut us off. Take a breath and listen to the wisdom because not only must you catch what is being said, but also what is not. Don't even chime in as we're talking because you can throw us off, lol. Let the wise speak and be heard without inturruption. I'm so thankful that the algorithm got it right this time. We family now! 💜
“I’ve forgotten more than you know” is a great line, this was the best episode yet, deserves a billion views. Love to the grandparents
There’s a wealth of wisdom in that room! This is what most young people are missing -wisdom from the elders!! Phenomenal job ladies! 👏🏾 🎉❤
Amen, I agree!!!
I'm loving it, it's so refreshing to see wholesome young people or young adults having conversations with their grandparents, so beautiful !
Glad you enjoyed! We really appreciated the privilege we had to interview our grandparents and have a platform to share the valuable insights they have!
@@GottaBMePodcastbeautiful ladies I visited your grandparents church in Warsaw, In over 8 years ago. They were so kind and thoughtful of me even though I was dressed in secular clothes. Your grandma would text me and checked up on me in my travels.
I loved the 😂ending. Peace, love, and hair grease 💓 and grandpa took his hat off and he's bald. LOL 😂
I just watched this and your grandparents blessed me with so many gems. I will watch this again and take notes. I lost my parents in 2013 & 2017. Listening to them was like sitting at the feet of my parents and gleaning. You are blessed to still have them. Love on them & cherish every minute you have with them. ❤
Yes we are so thankful. 🥹🙏🏽❤️
When he said watch your self now lawdddddd you felt the strength and love in it .
Two things. I’m not a religious person. But I hope this channels EXPLODES!! It is phenomenal to see this level of Christian conservatism mixed slightly with a bit of social liberalism in two young sista!!
2. Black don’t crack. I’m the same age as y’all parents. My grandparents are the same age as y’all grandparents. I’m biracial from back in ‘74…. And black don’t crack so I look like I could definitely be in my late 30’s. But y’all grandparents look like they could be in their 40’s with salt and pepper!!
We have great genes!! Keep up the good work, young ladies. You have a fan in me!!
Only negative was your granddaddy’s choice of frat!! All about those Apes and ‘06!! 😂 🤙🏽🦍
Your grandparents are so right. If young people would just listen. I am exactly in your grandparents generation and I agree, I am going to continue to reach out to my grandkids (twin 10 year old boys), who at this young age think they know everything. I always told my students that you never stop learning. I learned as much from them as they did from me. Tell your grandparents that this grandma is going to continue to hang in there, sharing and serving.
Awesome sharing. Love the wisdom.
❤❤❤Love love love the wisdom shared and your grandparents demeanor ❤❤❤
❤this episode!! Such good people
You guys are meant to do this! Awesome job girls! You'll be to a million in no time, keep on keeping on! ❤❤❤❤
Love this! Can’t believe how quick it went by! Bring grandma and grandpa back! I could listen to them for days 🥹
The Wisdom and knowledge of this episode is awesome, I wished I could set down and talk with you all for hours. I totally agree with them. Thanks for sharing!
Thank you for sharing this personal and uplifting video. Your Grandparents are elegant. I am my grandparents’ favorite. I have spent many hours with them, so I can relate. My grandmother was born in South Africa. She made it her mission to give me her history and insisted that I always respect my ancestors and respect books and education. My grandmother would not subordinate herself to any man, she was able to spit fire when needed. This video gives new respect and admiration for you both. You young ladies are on a good glide path and life will reward you. As always, best wishes.
3rd time watching. This one makes me joyful. Thanks guys
I AM SOOOOO JEALOUS!!! Just BEAUTIFUL!😍
I agree there has to be a willingness I know many elders who assume immediately that younger people don’t care and often young people think the elders don’t care so many people think there in it by themselves yes it is much appreciated when elders are willing to share the wisdom I appreciate this episode ❤
Pouring into our families and other should happen naturally and over time not just when we’re upset or disappointed in them because we assume we/ they were raised “right” we should be pouring in at all times not just when the mood is right pour into them from a very young age not when you’ve reached your breaking point
I've learned it needs to be when the young are ready to receive.
I've poured all of their lives as children, but as adults, adulting is a matter that is received when wanted. And that season is on their terms, not on the elder's.
The shock of being looked upon as old, I'm almost 62!!! Your grandparents are my peers. I dont feel old, and yes, 70 isn't old , this figure goes up the older you get.....very good interview.
😂 I can remember the first time I realized I could order from the “ senior” menu at IHOP 😂. I was like “ cool I get a deal….but wait, what the heck does this mean????”
I wasn't in a rush to grow up when I was a kid but for some reason, I love the idea of being an "old lady" since I hit my 40s. 😂 Maybe I'd feel differently if I didn't have to remind people my age but I'm glad to be old enough to dodge ALL that young people drama!
It’s okay to be old, your peers are in their twilight years and that’s just part of life.
Right, 60-75 is not old, old. 60-70 is considered young old.
❤❤
Wow, I really love this podcast. I’ve watched a few of your podcasts, but this as a whole is my favorite. Your grandparents are awesome and they have a lot of insight much love to them and you all as well🤗
so awesome... keep up the good work
My mom always asked me if I think she was born yesterday. 😂 she always spoke to me in parables. I didn’t understand what she was saying then but as I got older I started to understand what she was telling me. I miss her a lot. Thank you for this interview with your grandparents. 👍🏽😃
Was your mother from the Caribbean?
@@colettef.7421 yes. The expression says it all. 😂
Great interview, I think all grandkids should interview their grandparents at least once in their lives. I totally agree with the grandmother when she said basically if our children don’t respect us our grandchildren won’t either. And grandfather recognizing that him and his wife having different upbringing mattered.
Nice episode. Having living grandparents is priceless. Their love, wisdom, and stories are gifts.
Lovely family and ladies. Thank you for this-peace, love, life.
This is an excellent interview! And their grandparents are from Chicago too (another plus).
There is so much I could say about how I love this and how fast the time flew by watching, listening, and learning, but I just need to comment that I love the ending when Grandpa showed his bald 70-year-young head! ❤️ Keep it up. This world needs you.
I absolutely loved this conversation with your grandparents. They are the ages of my own parents and that may be why. It's like listening to my own parents talking about their lives.
Loved loved this talk!!❤❤
This was the best ever!!!! I truly enjoyed the talk with your grandparents. Love all the knowledge and wisdom they shared. Please ink them a permanent spot on the show once a month to come on and talk about everything. It truly was refreshing to see you girls interact with your grandparents. I love when you had your moms on, so only fitting to bring on the dads..
Great idea! There’s a storehouse of wisdom here just waiting to be tapped into❤❤❤

Amazing interview with your wise grandparents!!!💕💕💕
You Ladies truly are AWESOME. Can we get you to get your dads on the podcast. Stay showing that all Black women aren't running around being clowns.(keep up the good work)
They're dads married white women, lol
25:32 I wholeheartedly agree. I believe my perspective was broadened by having great grandparents in my life.
It was beautiful hearing about the multiple generations in one home - when the grandmother was speaking. It’s not always possible. When it is, it could be a beautiful thing.
I absolutely loved this!! As a photographer and filmmaker, I make videos that tell real life stories. Watching this video, I realized that I'm neglecting recording videos like this for 'My' family. Thanks for such a beautiful reminder/inspiration. ❤
I so enjoyed this 35 minute visit with you all. Such lovely, lovely grandparents. Young ones, you are very blessed to have them and you can believe that your grandparents realize how blessed they are to have you. Praise the Lord - that you are all His shows.💐❤️
I really apreciated this intergenerational exchange. Our elders have a lot to teach us. I also liked your relationship with your grandparents, à vers touching moment. I am à muslim from Paris France and i love your potcast. Peace ✌❤
I loved seeing this interaction with your grandparents. My mom was a single mom and if it wasn't for the support of her parents my life would have been bad. I miss them so much.
What a lovely couple❣ May the Lord continue blessing them.
❤❤❤❤❤ Your grandparents are super beautiful and still in love ❤️ Great conversation. I truly appreciate the realness and the complete transparency of their experience. If I can make a recommendation that you referred Your as Grandparents The wiser generation

Love you grandma and grandpa.
They are witty and smart ❤😊
Beautifully done! I don't know how this ended up in my suggestions but I'm glad that it did. As a person that is getting up in age it warms my heart to see the wisdom of the elders connect with the energy of the youth.
Two of my most favorite people in the world! Your grandparents are the real deal. My family spent so many weekends in their home in Indiana supporting the work in Warsaw. They were parents to us and best friends. I love them dearly.
This conversation was so refreshing to listen to. Grandparents have a special relationship with their grandchildren. You young ladies are a gift to CZcams. Keep up the good work ladies.

This was so beautiful to watch! I see your grandparents in the both of you. I love how so open you guys are in talking about the racial under tone in our world today. You guys are wise beyond your years. I am 50 years old and this conversation is so wholesome and it makes me want to gather my 5 children and granddaughter and tell them all about my history. Thank you ladies for walking into your purpose.

I'd also like to know.
Wonderful people are your Grandparents. Very refreshing to see the younger generation asking from the old generation advice. May God bless you all.
Wholesome family. The humility, the respect and discipline, the love of GOD Almighty and the love of the family at large radiates amongst them all . May GOD protect and preserve this family. This is foundation of black culture. This should be all black folks house hold. Just modest and conservative. 🖤
Love your grandparents. Their story is beautiful and inspiring.
Love the realness of this video.
This was a great interview. I could have listened for hours about their history.
Love your grandparents so much! They have been such a great help to me too, especially the years we were in the same congregation.
Love this!!! 💓💓💓
You have a beautiful family. You are blessed to be raised by such a wonderful soul
Beautiful!! Your wonderful grandparents are a storehouse of knowledge and wisdom from whom I’ve gleaned much throughout the years. Thank God! I love them both❤️
This podcast came up on my timeline. Loved this episode!
I love this episode for black 🖤 history month. I know your grandparents and fathers. I met them in Indiana.
Awesome interview!! Thank you and your Grands!
remember you got to get old too...and we need a guide from those who been there. Shout out cabrini greens and henry projects grandpa from the set.
Awesome interview 💖
I think the obstacle between the old and youth is Trust and Respect on both sides. The youth trust what they see. If they see a rapper with chains and women, then they instantly more willing to trust what that person thinks and say. That is why it is important to have parents and extended family to build a foundation to see through the BS that someone may throw at you.
Wonderful conversation between generations
The conversation with your grandparents was very fruitful. They are very wise and good-humored.
Greetings from Brazil!
Such an insightful conversation. I’m mixed and grew up in Europe. So fascinating to hear the experience from elders across the pond. 🤍
I really enjoyed this episode, keep up the great work
I loved the video I wish I would have sat down and had discussion with my grandparents. Both my parents are only children don't know a lot of our family history
Thank you for you youth asking important questions 🎉❤
Thanks for answering them grandparents 🎉50 more!

This was Great ❤
Great to know where you came from and smart to know where you’re going.

Thank you for interviewing your grandparents on here. It reminds me of my grandparents and the times I spent with them.
Loved this! I'm so privileged to know them personally❤ they're the best ever!!😍
They are obviously Christian, but what denomination they belong to?
Great interview, where in Mexico 🇲🇽. I am planning to move Merida mexico this year I would love to meet them.
Great interview with your grandparents. Keep up the great work, ladies
So nice to see respect and laughter mixed together with love
I don't even know how I got to this channel but it's so interesting. This vid was especially interesting as I am also from Chicago. I am navigating and re-exploring my fatih as a Senior retiree now living in Johannesburg. I'm also part of a Greek organization and am 'reexamining' its tenets in alignment with my faith. Oh, and I'm 62 and it aint old.😂Keep up the great work, ladies.
Right, 60-70 is classified as young old. It is not old, old.
