Caitlin Clark was the only 5 Star player on her team for 4 years in College. South Carolina lost 5 and replaced with 5 star All Americans. LSU was the same way. Not relying on transfers. UConn And others What Caitlin and her Iowa team did twice Is absolutely astonishing and very different from the past 3 or 4 same teams playing every single year. That is why it was new and exciting.

Ms. Clarks’ Gifts and demeanor brought me back to this sport. I was raised in the outskirts of Los Angeles watching the clash of Titans Bird and MJ, then the Jordan era.. since then it was mediocre. I would tune in and watch Kobe and early Lebron , but only the highlights or last game clips at the finals. Then I stumbled upon a highlight reel of a pretty and humble brunette in a Hawkeye jersey, passing like MJ, assisting like Bird and draining shots from the parking lot like Curry on his best night. I thanked almighty God that moment for the gift he gave us ,of the splendor of hardwork and a dream in Caitlin Clark. There is hope in basketball and I am blessed to be alive to see it. Go Fever!! 🤒🙏🥰 Hawai’i is Watching.

As an Iowan who doesn’t have any sort of NFL, NBA, WNBA, MLB or big teams, the players that we recruit into professional roles we follow. And we follow those who are from Iowa originally even more because it’s just a pure feeling of being proud and humble. I’m sure there’s some that have taken things to their head or they ran away with money that changed them, but for most of us we’re genuinely hard workers in everyday life. To reach her level with the background that a lot of us Iowans have (minus political) in not taking handouts, money buy their way, being humble and honest, and a strong work ethic we will follow those hardcore. It’s been shown many times over. She is phenomenal and like you said, if the wnba doesn’t capitalize on her as a player, her character, her athletic abilities, leadership, sportsmanship, poise, marketing abilities, and more they will be missing out. The WNBA now has a fan in me and our family like many other Iowans let alone other families around the U.S. and world. I’m also a new Aces fan supporting Caitlin’s best friend and our own Kate Martin! Fun fact, Caitlin and Kate were roommates in college, so they a dynamic duo and I wish they could’ve been drafted together. I just hope Martin doesn’t get cut and can shine in her versatility. They make us proud Iowans and I hope other players take the lead from them and see the following they get from their character, etc., and jump on the happy uplifting supportive train. 💛🖤💛

She's a white catholic girl from Iowa, we can guess her political views on that alone. If she values mainstream media money then it is in her best interest to dodge every political question ever. "Listen I'm just here to be the best player I can be and inspire my teammates to win games" etc etc.

@@Raindeuxi truly think she leans liberal but doesn’t like sharing her political views because in her mind and with her father’s advice, she thinks it’s unnecessary to do so. I really do hope she decides to work up the courage and ask all media sites to stop using her for their political motives, both conservative sites like Newsmax & liberal sites like CNN

100% FACTS, Frank Isolo!! Refreshing you called out Taurasi & Bird…Swoopes needs gut check too! Petty arse jealous women. Completely changing all women’s hoops and now the WNBA! And with a boyfriend!!! Plus, you never see her in TikTok shorts doing all that gangsta rapping with a zillion tats! To all young athlete: “Dare to be a Caitlin Clark”. Caitlin stands out for daring to take those long logo three point and to make long fast break passes! In truth, most coaches would have benched Caitlin for daring to shoot those extra long three point shots and her errant fast break passes. Caitlin has a high enough made percentage to dare shooting those long threes!
The only person who suppressed Caitlin offense is the coach of the USA U19 team. He pulled her after her three point shots or her attempted drives! As they say, “the only person to keep MJ under twenty points was coach Dean Smith”!
While children want be like Caitlin; it is their parents and other young adults that really the base of Caitlin’s fan base! They like Caitlin’s honor , courage and character! These fans have judged that following Caitlin is a good thing. Can you imagine how many kids are daring to be a Caitlin Clark?
While the Fever has the Caitlin Clark effect, I fail to comprehend what there is a surge at other franchises. Maybe the WNBA fan base surge was going to happen anyway.

They said it's actually $28M, they should put her on the Olympic team. It will help them to market WNBA around the world like Jordan. I'm from across the globe and I learned about her because I heard my co workers, (men) talking about how good she is like Curry and that was in 2022.

Stewart would not have won a title if she had played at Iowa. These other so called goats for the most part were surrounded by 4 eventual WNBA players. Caitlin got there alone. The rest of the players on her team probably wouldn't make the team at UConn or South Carolina. It would have been embarrassing if Stewart, Bird and Taurasi had not won titles. They were basically playing on WNBA teams. Caitlin is the goat

I get why these conversations continue. As a result of Catlin Clark, I'm now a WNBA fan. But I have to say,
just observing the way she handles herself, I believe she would never call herself great, or the greatest of all time or the GOAT.
It's obvious to me that she want's her game to speak for itself.

Breanna’s UConn team had several all Americans 5 future draft picks Iowa had Caitlin and scored 1300 more points in fewer
Games than Stewart ask the right question .Could Stewart or Taurasi have won a National Title-being the lone all American
Or even make a run to a national ..Stewart avg 17 Taurasi 15 pts a game .IMO..Seriously doubt it ..inclusion NOT exclusion

  • @Joe-ny2up
    @Joe-ny2up Před měsícem

UConn won those 4 titles by an average of 28 points. Read that again. Breanna Stewart on the floor or not does not change the outcome. She averaged 17 pts, 8 boards, and 2 or 3 assists. Meh. Big deal. I'd take Kamilla Cordoso over Stewart every day.

I don't want to compare the men's and women's game, but Larry Bird is definitely one of the greatest players and be never won a National Championship. So Breanna's comment or Diana's, truthfully if they are smart, they'll support Clark as they will also make more money as well. This jealousy is childish and not something that many will support.

There's a good possibility that the lack of interest is going to change. The ratings her games have scored are all time highs. For instance, the final game for the women's championship drew one of the largest audiences ever. Also, the WNBA draft turned out to be an "event" this year, mostly because so many people wanted to see her selected number one. A couple of other points. Many of her upcoming games have been shifted to stadiums with higher seating capacity to accommodate all the fans who want to see her. Also, it seems that already 36 of her 40 games will be nationally televised. I believe those other four will be added later. Just my opinion. I read yesterday that her jersey sales on just her draft day outsold all the jerseys the Dallas Cowboys sold, now that's the entire team, for the entire year. Can a person even take that in? The mayor and other city officials of a small town not too far from Indianapolis was asking her to make her home there. How much added revenue would you guess has been generated by Caitlin Clark in the WNBA universe? And the thing that has impressed me most is she seems to be handling it all so well. Let's hope she can avoid serious injury so we can see this exceptional young lady display her phenomenal talents against the world's best players. Please allow me to include a funny post I read recently. A man posted this two years ago, "if the WNBA held a game in my backyard, I'd call the police to report a crime in progress." That was two years ago. How that has changed! The best to you. Oh, I can't wait for May 14.
