I mainly work with yellow and red brass and read somewhere that you aren't supposed to use brass in a tumbler, though I can't think of any reason why not. Do you happen to know if you can use brass in a tumbler? I love how shiny it made your rings and want to give mine a try. My hands are rough all the time from hand finishing everything (I could use a flex shaft, but tend to work in another room where I have a TV and my dogs prefer to hang out).
