I was in Paris during the spring of 2000 for 2 weeks and played a few night clubs while I was there. During the day I went to a lot of different restaurants for breakfast, lunch and dinner. Then to the art museums and music stores. It was a great time. Another thing about Paris is you can't have a bad meal there. The food is the best I've ever experienced. Not only is the taste and quality sensational, but the amount of food you get for the money it cost is better than in the states.

I also got a Get'm Get'm black and white check guitar strap and a vox amplig AC30 which still works, that is over 12 years ago, and I still have the guitar strap which still looks like new. Those guitars that you played sounded amazing, I really loved the strat tone. You play very well, I think I will learn some of those licks.

  • @worldbizarretshirts281

There's a "sudo-stero" like effect you can get and even have a "balance" in the form of volume adjustments and configure by ear.
It's simple just pick the amp have set for the effect you want then run an audio mic 🎤🎙️ from inputs of the second amp and just hang it in front of the speaker cabinet 🗄️ you're playing from. The effect works better with distance between the two amps.

Stereo amps benefits if you play a small venue solo or with a combo in my experience. When playing in a full band any nuance is likely to be lost. Plus, who wants to lug around all that gear? Just get a Cab Zeus at the end of your chain and run one channel clean and the other dirty and DI right into the PA.

Hey ! Funny to have you in Paris :-D Living in, the City, and nearby this street, I'm not very surprised that some stores are not very welcoming. Some Canadian friends of mine had a bad experience a few years ago : some owner asked them to leave the store because he said that he didn't want to waste with people who will not buying anything. I was quite schoked actually when it happened. It's sad but people are a bit rude in Paris I think. Anyway… I hope you enjoy your time in the city :-D

Rhett, you have a 335..from your parents I think. That's a very special guitar, firstly because of who gave it to you, and second because YOU own it. In 50 years that will be worth 40k$. I have found over the years that the 'wanting' for something sometimes is more fun than the 'having' of that item...especially when the price is just crazy....just enjoy the wanting, and spend your 'spare' 40k$ on a used red Ferrari...

  • @russellszabadosaka5-pindin849

Man, if I could actually play the solo to “Kid Charlemagne”, I’d play it on an ES-335 too!

Around 4 min... The turquoise jaguar. I remember asking to try it and the owner didn't want me to play it. Amazing guitars in that street in Pigalle but that's what I don't like with some of these stores. If they feel you are not rich enough, you don't look like you're somehow able to afford a vintage guitar they won't be that nice to you.

Also, something you should point out, is that the majority of musical instruments shops, including guitar shops are located in the "Pigalle" district of Paris. "Pigalle" is also known as being the place where the ladies selling their charms used to be, including strip tease clubs, hostess bars and the like. It is still a little bit like this today, but not as much as when I was a kid.
Last but not least, James Trussart, le French luthier known is Los Angeles used to have his shop right there too. But as a pioneer of his craft, he decided to move to the USA early, because the market was there. I remember entering his shop back then, Rue Duperré. I did not think much of purchasing a guitar with a rusty metal top at the time... lol...
