Bali LUXURY BEACH RESORT - Full Tour and Review of Sofitel Hotel in Bali, Indonesia!

NOTE: I did some hosting work for Accor Hotels at Sofitel, and they invited my wife and I to stay for a few extra nights. So I didn't pay for my stay, but I wasn't required in any way to make this video. I made it because I wanted to.

Sofitel is one of the well known beach resorts in Nusa Dua, Bali. They hooked us up with a very nice room with direct access to the swimming pool - which is probably one of the coolest features of the hotel. The service was great, and I think the breakfast buffet was excellent. It's a laid back place to stay in Bali, so laid back and relaxing, that my wife and I barely even wanted to go anywhere when we were staying there. Sofitel in Bali is the type of resort where you can just stay the entire day, relaxing, and swimming and not go anywhere.
As for the beach, it's not the most amazing beach. The views are fantastic, but for actually beach swimming, it's not the best you'll see. Also another drawback I found is that Nusa Dua is kind of a secluded resort area in Bali. So in order to get our of the resort area you need to take a taxi, you can't just walk out and find street food.
Again, I didn't pay, but I searched and found that this room sometimes goes for around $400, however it could fluctuate quite a bit by season - and I was there in high season.

The large, all connecting pool is probably the best feature
Nice. I was part of the landscape design team from concept to construction phase. The pool really turned out so well designed. The pool is divided into 3 parts (lagoon pool, lap pool, and adult pool). The reason why it's so huge!!

That meet up would be awesome! My hubby and I actually met Mikey Chan in Hawaii. This was in March during the start of the C19 shutdowns. We just happened to be ordering take out from the same restaurant.
$500 per night for that amazing hotel is reasonable in my opinion. That buffet oh my gosh. Not fair, you eat heaps of food and you're skinny, 😂😂 , That is my dream, you are one very blessed man. 😇
Mark actually is tall and tone. His neck is skinny in camera.
He proves that as long as eating healthy with moderate exercise, you can over eat but not getting overweight.

Best tour of yours I've seen so far
Just a thought. Because you don't like sweet things, you tend to only eat sour or salty foods. And breakfast you like to eat what you eat for lunch and dinner. Maybe you could get your wife's impression of the other food on here. I noticed it looked like she was eating waffles for breakfast. if she wouldn't mind giving her impression of the other foods that you don't like and don't eat, we could get a more rounded view of the food. Just a thought. The hotel you are staying in is incredible. So beautiful, and the buffet also looks incredible. I don't think I would want to leave!

The views of the hotel are stunning, and the service is top notch. You just made me reminisce about the days when I used to book reservations for the onsite hotels at Universal Orlando Resort via a call center specialized in hotel reservations. But the best part was the reward of enjoying a vacation of a lifetime thanks to them, and being able to stay at the Loews Portofino Bay Hotel (which your video reminds me a lot of it). It just brought memories of that vacation.

That's still very expensive that is like 160 a night you can get a resort in bali for 100 for a really nice one or 25 for a villa and also food is more in the resort so probably 200 dollers a night not including flight

Here in Malaysia, we can buy a chalet which is a part of a resort. The management will renting out for us and maintain it throughout the year. We can inform the management earlier to make it vacant for us for our vacations. For example, Bukit Merah Resort.

I went to Bali just for the hotel stay. Not interested for sightseeing or night live. stay at the nice hotel and eat their food at their restaurant. That's what i love about Bali right now.
