Real Madrid are renewing their team. They are selling all near to retire players.they have brought tchuamin to replace Casemiro. Problem is others thinks when a player is a star, he will remain as a star, that is not a case . Casemero before 2 to 3 years back is not as he is now. He is starting to decline and this is normal no player will be the same whole is entire life.I will say it’s a mistake for United to spend that amount of money for casemero.they could buy him for less that’s ok but not that amount.it’s the. Same for Ronaldo and Cavani.

In my oponion i think Ten Hag wanted to reward Mctomminay for playing well in the previous games and send a message to Casemiro ask to say that he had to earn his place which is absurd given the fact Casemiro is miles ahead better but since he was already benching CR7 he wanted everyone in the squad to know if you play will you will play which i like no doubt. Although it was naive to think Mctomminay would play better v Mnahcester City also it was naive to both start Bruno and Erikson as they both let the manchester city midfield take charge. In my oponion both Mctomminay and Casemiro should have started to track back. City has so many lethal passers and they had all day too look up and pass. Craig is the worst pundit on TV, absolutely stealing a living. 2 weeks ago Craig praised Ten Hag for keeping in-form players into the starting 11. IIRC the direct quote from Craig was "If it doesn't matter what your name is, and if you're playing well he's still going to give you a chance, that's real management. Players remember that, they respect that." So Ten Hag does literally exactly this, it doesn't work, and now Craig can't wrap his head around the whole scenario. Again it's not just that he's wrong. Everyone gets it wrong, it's punditry. It's the fact that Craig's IQ is so limited..

I agree Casemiro should’ve started and I think now that the team has put in a bad performance, we’ll see changes next week against Everton. There’s obviously no comparison between Mctominay and Casemiro but give Ten Hag some slack. Pep has been with City for 6 years and has the best striker itw. I'm a United fan, and I'm glad this happened because it should show ETH that McTominay is simply nowhere good enough to start, ESPECIALLY in front of freaking Casemiro, no matter what his form is. I understand Casemiro has been a little off so far, but he also hasn't started consistently and with the same squad around him, so I'm hoping that this will be the beginning of the end of the McTominay experiment and will 1) see Casemiro starting from now on and 2) shock the board enough to realize that the squad needs another $250-300mil invested between now and next season for them to even have a chance to compete with the likes of City.

If indeed Casemiro had played, the topic on talk shows today would have been about how Casemiro is past his best or how Utd have turned yet another world class player into a dud. Stevie said it best yesterday - any team in epl would've been 4 nil down against that city performance!!!
The problem was neither McTominay nor Erikson but the 4 guys in front of them. Changing the mentality and application of Bruno, Sancho and Rashford without the ball will take time on the training pitch and better competition for playing time and maybe even replacing one or two players.
When Utd was beating Liverpool and Arsenal without Casemiro, I don't recall segment after segment questioning ETH's selection.
Lastly, as a Utd fan, I appreciated ETH sending the same players back out for the 2nd half. Don't reward laziness and lack of application by subbing players off in a game that's already lost. Send them back out there and as a new manager get to see who has the pride, mentality and attitude to be part of the project (or at least let them marinade in the embarrassment they created).
