I really hope we get more of these Armorizers, since I have whole-heartedly embraced the idea of the Rock Lords from the Gobots franchise not only becoming Transformers characters, but also them transforming into stone vehicles instead of just rocks and stones. lol

Genuinely, I like the idea of the rocklords... BUT, I not a fan of the rock vehicle altmodes. I honestly wish these Rock Lords had altmodes that were a combination of Dinosaur/prehistoric Animal bones plus the rock they were still covered in. It makes more sense for me than rock vehicles. They could be an upgrade/ bulkier version of the fossilisers.
The whole armorizer and weaponizer concept is one that I’m a huge fan of and I would have loved these as a kid. The ability to customize and create whatever characters I wanted to would have been great and would have given me hours of fun as a kid. I just feel like them transforming into vehicles is odd. I think they would have been much better off as monsters. Hasbro designers seem to think that sometimes most things should transform into vehicles, even if it works to the detriment of the figure.
I have both. I'm not a fan of Magneous's weaponizerer-execution (too many spare parts, nothing interesting), and Bouldercrash is a terrible sword. I *do* like the rock aesthetic, but I think I would have preferred Rock Monsters that changed to Rock Robots. Maybe I'd feel differently with comic/cartoon/tech specs... but as-is, these seem like substandard transformers with a cool...ish aesthetic. (Again; Imagine if they had been Fossilizer-style rock monster weaponizers... you could arm your [character] with rock wings, rock clubs, rock claws, etc. Come on Hasbro, I wanna rock!)
I'm 100% with you on them being monsters rather than cars. It just feels... weird, but not in a good way. There's not like... an advantage to a car looking like a rock, but a rock monster gives you this ancient diety vibe, like something from a kaiju film.
Flavorwise, I take it this is the rock equivalent of BW show transmetals... they were hit by something and came out all... rocky. But "Scanned a rock monster" is a lot easier to understand, and probably has a better playpattern.@@g_oduofthenorth9618
The aesthetic of these guys is incredible and I really hope they do more. Happy new year or whatever the NY version of Ratsmas is..!
I'm gonna be honest.... it's not quite hitting. The robots are cool, but the minute I see the car covered in rubble, I fall off a bit. The closest to making it interesting for my brain is like.... acting like these are weird flinstones or wacky races stuff, like silly Hannah Barbera stuff, but it's just too futuristic, I can't see captain caveman driving or riding on top of any of these vehicles. Someone else in the comments beat me to this, but why the hell didn't they give them all rock beast modes? Like, a robot that turns into a weird rock monster, that would've been really cool, more rock-lords-ey, but without the alt mode just litterally being a rock. Maybe you could even sorta wangle in a third mode that's like... hidden rock mode, and it doesnt have to look super good. I dunno, i think that'd be more interesting, like you could do a whole backstory about energon infused with sparks getting flung onto earth in ancient times to give life to ancient dieties and monsters or something. Add some mystical stuff to the robot stuff, and then it's like.. ya know, oooo, cool, and it kinda fits with the japanese beast wars characters. I dunno, the rock cars just really don't capture my imagination, like at that point why not judt do another wave of junkions or something? I desperately want to like the rock robots, but the rock vehicles..... maybe if they were more alien, ya know? Like weird cybertronian space and landcraft... I don't want to be against something being goofy, but very earth looking vehicles covered in rocks just doesn't make any sense, and it feels like somehow they're running out of ideas even though there are a bunch of other things they could've done.... I dunno, I'm ranting a bit, i guess it doesn't matter, I'm just kinda disappointed.

Shouldn't this be one of em I got instead? Obviously not complaining, but you have one of each. It's not all of the Rocklords you got. (I sound like 🤓☝️)

I can’t help but think someone somewhere along the chain at Hasblow got these two guys names mixed up.

What about the one that is red and looks like Magma?
