I believe the real reason why Blitz is so obsessed with Moxxy's and Millie's relationship together is because its what he truly craves, real genuine love. -and they have just that
I think he just lost so many relationships and he has now trust issues and thats the reason he adopted loona. Because a chold and father relationship has trust. Also thats the reason hes overprotective to loone because he doesnt want her to go away. And the reason he stalks moxie and millie. Because he can trust them after they saved his ass a bunch pf times and now is scared they will one day go away and wont come back.
@@laval0910 We don't know what happened in his past, but he clearly have trust issues, as well as crave just normal relationships. He desperately needs normal family, normal friends, maybe even love interest. But he has no idea how to get those. He's forcing Loona to be his family, despite her already being an adult when he adopted her, he's trying to be third wheel in M&M even though both of them are visibly uncomfortable with the idea (Although Millie is very understanding of Blitzø's situation), and the thing with Stolas is very confusing on both ends. Each and every relationship he's in is a mess, and it's both Blitzø's fault, but also not really, since he clearly have no idea how to build working relationships.
I think he wants a relationship like theirs and he wants to find love but he’s scared of being alone and why he tends to leave everyone alone before they can leave him which isn’t a good thing to do but he should at least try let others in

Yup. He does want a genuine relationship like mox and Millie have. It shows that blitz didn't like stolas being focused on sex and stuff like that upset him.
Stolas calling Blitz “his impish little plaything” in the last ep prolly adds up to Blitz thinking that Stolas just wants a sexual relationship and not a serious one

I've also thought that, but still: his only demand for Blitz using the grimoire is them having sex for once a month, right? But when he called IMP to escort him to Loo Loo Land he still offered payment for services instead of using the Grimoire to force Blitzo to work for him, he saved Blitzo and the team from the human agents and actually kept lending them the book, and he just invited them to the Harvest Festival just so they could have fun, they were not working for him (Blitz actually took a part in the games). Stolas is constantly putting himself on the line for the relationship and Blitzo is just being an ass to him. Makes me genuinely mad.
Let's just take the time to notice that Blitz was CRYING in this episode. BLITZ. The character who, even in his most emotional moments, never shed a tear. Even in the ep 6 drug trip scene, NOTHING, no crying, and he still maintained the sarcasm I think he's known for at this point. The fact that he shed NOT ONE tear, but a whole dang waterfall speaks a lot to how important this was.
makes you realize he thinks everyone else will leave like everyone else he loved.
If you watch closely, he let's one small tear fall out of his eye when dropping Stolas off.

Dude I love how verosica was actually brutally human for a second, it felt like she REALLY actually cared for blitzo at some point and was genuinely heart broken

If you look carfully verosica has a tatoo on her chest for blitzo.for a demon who lived for 1000 years propably she had a lot of boyfriends but out all of them she only has a tatoo for him so she really did love him.

I am glad moxie wasn’t made a hard butt of the joke and even though he was laughed at a bit by asmodeus(great design for the character). Moxie still came out on top and a tiny bit of the people in the restaurant clapped for them after so you know happy times to me.
I was so happy people applauded them. Like yeah, they came here for lust, but that doesn’t mean that they can’t appreciate a wholesome couple.
Also, the fact that Blitz came out of hiding to defend them.

I'm not sure if Fizz and Blitz used to date though. Blitz used to be a clown, so I think they were both either partners or trying to make their careers work, when Fizz made it and just abandoned Blitz.

Yea, the difference i feel with Stolas and Ozzie is that, with Ozzie being the embodiment of last its in his nature not to care whether of not fuizz is a lower class imp or not while, Stolas has his whole reputation with his wife and Octavia and giving it up to have a secret (from the public) affair with an imp and when he was comforted with it he couldn't handle the pressure and embrace the decision he made to be with blitz
Also the fact Blitz KNEW Fizz would recognise him but still spoke up to defend Moxie just carries on from that development they had last episode too
Not gonna lie, as someone who is a huge Stolas fan and shares his desire for a serious loving relationship, watching him get upset while Blitz was using the binoculars was absolutely DESTROYING me. I kept saying to myself, if this is what'll happen the whole episode, I'm gonna be in tears by the end.
I love how that aspect of the show was used tastefully; not enough to overwhelm the viewers, but still give a little tug on the heart strings

This may be weird but I loved the crying because it is a lot more realistic. Instead of being that horrible shouting cry, it was a more silent breathy one. It isn't that fake type.
Edit: I see I didn't explain well. I am talking about those shows and movies where they fake cry but they have to act it up. So they get the fake emotional, leading to crying scenes being joked on and trashed on because they are clearly forced.
What's wrong with the shouting cry. That's how I do it everytime no matter how minimal the problem😎
@@thato8000 you know how shows do it poorly like this. "AHHHhHhhhHhHHHHhh" like if they are groaning in pain. But even so, Blitzø repressed his feelings so he would be as much emotional as someone who embraces their emotions.

Man his breathy crying is something I related to because that's how I cry when I cry over repressed emotions, which isn't often, so that just hit hard for me

Stolas needs a hug for the pain he got dealt by Asmodeus and, unintentionally, Blitzø. Blitzø needs a hug because how broken he is. And M&M deserve a hug for being absolutely cute and wholesome.
Edit: And Asmodeus deserves a hug from Vulkan, because he does not deserve an intact spine.

I see everyone talking about stoles being sad and stoles wanting romance-
But I don’t see anyone talking about the one scene where Stolas hides behind the menu and blitzo genuinely looks hurt. It’s the type of hurt where his fears and insecurities were proven right, feeling like a total joke to stolas, just like in his previous relationships
He tried to stand up and leave when called out and I feel like a lot of people missed that detail and it changed my pov a lot on how Stolas has been to Blitzo overall-

The original animatic was imo, a better portrayal of the significance of that moment. Blitzø gives this confused squint of betrayal. A sort of "Wait, that's what you really think of me?" They animation expression is also good but I think the original expression has a better meaning to it.

Moxie said “one year WEDDING anniversary”. Which probably means that m&m have been dating for much longer, based on how strong their relationship is. In no world would I see them only having been a couple for 1.5-2 years, I’d say they’ve probably been a couple for 3-5 years prior to their marriage

I agree, he likely would be the type to take things slow, so it probably was a good few years before they tied the knot.

I think Blitz is *NOT* in love with Stolas. He’s not in love, he’s in love with the idea of *being* in love. He has a huge gap in his life that he needs to fill. He tried with Verosica, tried to get into Moxxie and Millie’s love life, tried with Fizz, and now, Stolas.

He could eventually be in love with him if he opened up and figured out his complexes but he's still got a long way to go
if he can find the feeling of love, only himself to fix what he became, of course people like moxie, millie and his daughter loona should talk to him, it drives me mad the fact that NOBODY had a sight of how blitzo is broken, but as i said, its blitzo path, only his and nobody else, i keep holding on to the feeling that he can look inside himself and wake up to these nightmares he created, even his mother could mean something, i swear we need to know about his family cause if i was a freind on the history, i would give him a hug and a punch in the face, he need to WAKE UP!
But he *does* have strong feeling for Stolas, but it is definitely not love... the staircase leading up to Stolas lets us know he wants it to work, but idolizing someone isn't how to do it, and we know it.

Something that made me sick to my stomach was how when all eyes were on Stolas, they weren't shaming him for being with an imp, they were praising him. They were praising him for giving into lust. And it humiliated Stolas, in which made Blitz feel unwanted.

Honestly I'm obsessed with Asmodeus and Fizz's dynamic and their design. They constantly compliment each other during their musical number
That scene when Moxxie starts singing and Fizz grins up to Ozzy like "isn't it adorable how they are in denial"?
If you look closely in the car scene. When blizø took a moment to collect himself. You can see a small tear wheeling up in his eye. That for me feels like he does genuinely care about stolas. But after being picked apart so hard by the other guys. He just wanted to get home. Hence why he was so dismissive. Cold to stolas. Idk I just hope that stolas and blizø make up. I genuinely think they could be good for each other if they talked. And worked out there problems.
There’s also the fact that Stolas covered his face with a menu instead of defending Blitzo from the crowd. Whereas Milly physically assaulted Fizz to let her Hubby continue singing, not giving two sh*ts about the crowd’s opinion.
Stolas had a chance to defend Blitzo but he didn’t.
And Stolas didn’t deny it when Blitzo said he was only into him for sex. That speaks volumes IMO.

Given how nervous he was, I honestly believe that may of been Stolas' first real date. Given his status I imagine that the marriage to Stella was a arranged and, although they may have a courtship prior to the wedding, they probably didn't have regular dates

Probably my favorite subtle detail in this episode: Did anyone else notice how well Fizz and Asmodeus work as a foil to Blitzo and Stolas? An imp who's seemingly hooked up with an all-powerful demon lord but they seem to have an actual functioning, loving relationship despite their mocking of the M&M's.
i saw someone say that if it turns out that they are in some sort of romantic relationship, it'll probably be something along the lines of asmondeus being "in love" with fizz that he created rather than who he actually was/is. it's still early to tell, but i'd personally be interested in seeing that sort of dynamic

I feel everyone is on Blitzo’s side due to protagonist bias but it really seems Fizzarolli tried looking out for him, but his own failure while watching his SO succeed caused bitter resentment. Then with Verosika it looks like he knowingly took advantage of her status, fame and feelings to hit back at Fizzarolli. Looking at episode 6 that trip has a TON more context.
Moxxie ripping him a new one in his pretentious voice, fading in and out of scribbles until he becomes a …. Princess. He sees the potential in Moxxie to be even better than him. Rather he knows Moxxie and Millie are too good for him. He bites back with “I don’t need you” and something tells me that isn’t the first time he said that.
Striker being the one to call out Blitzo’s desire to not be alone gives reason to why he saved Stolas. I don’t think Blitzo loves Stolas and I also think he has already closed the door on the relationship before it ever really started. He knows he’s going to hurt Stolas and because of that…..he’s just angry with him all the time. But he’s using Stolas to fill his loneliness. He has nothing to give back at all. And Striker calling out his need to not be alone is Blitzo criticizing himself for saving Stolas for his own selfish desire of having someone want him, no matter how superficially (or not so shallow).
Then Fizzarolli was next, tossing Blitzo in the air and catching him. Possibly an allusion to the meteoric rise of Fizzarolli’s show biz fame and Blitzo leeching along. The fact Blitzo worked at LooLoo Land makes me feel Fizz got him that job. He even occasionally did standup which we see is Fizzarolli’s thing at Ozzie’s. In the background of other episodes we see he had other acts as well, all of which failed for one reason or another, but knowing how showbiz worker, again, I don’t see Blitzo having had any taste of success on his own merit. His relationship with Fizzarolli was what carried him, like how Fizzarolli in his trip sequence caught him before he fell. But then Fizz says “You tried the solo act, it didn’t work out so well” before hurling him top speed into the mud. Which to me, plays out as Blitzo ending their relationship with a similar “I don’t need you” and Fizzarolli, burned by Blitzo and his selfishness, cut him off completely. Which Blitzo interpreted as throwing him away. This also adds to what Fizz says in episode 7 and how Blitzo reacts to him. Which I will get to the latter later. But Fizzarolli saying Blitzo can’t say shit on relationships seeing how he can’t keep one to save his life, with what Verosika says in episode 3, it shows a pattern of Blitzo being the reason his relationships fall apart. And episode 6 proves he KNOWS that.
Then Verosika in the bad trip sequence. Her dialogue screams that Blitzo knew she loved him, but how he can easily just shove her off shows that he never really cared about her. She was just something to get back at Fizzarolli with. Then see also how he treats each of them. Verosika in episode 3, he just runs up insulting her, no fear or shame or reservations despite her still being above his station. He isn’t afraid of her. She calls him out in episode 7 and he’s just annoyed. But Fizzarolli is an “oh no, must hide, anyone but him”. When Fizzarolli goes in at him he has true panic in every interaction.
Honestly I feel bad for Verosika being hung up on this guy who broke her heart, I’m happy for Fizzarolli moving on with his life, still resentful but he didn’t end his life at Blitzo. He has an adoring demon prince boyfriend in an open relationship and he’s doing well for himself. And then you just pity Blitzo while watching him do the same shit all over again. But when you change the perspective, it makes so much more sense. No one just used Blitzo. There was nothing they got from him. He was using them, even Stolas is being used. But Blitzo wants a relationship where he stands equal to them. His crippling inferiority is the issue and he has some severe self hatred over it, but simultaneously doesn’t think he can be any better than that. Look at episode 1 and how vicious and angry he gets at Moxxie with the line “From the moment you’re born you’re leeching off your momma’s teet” it’s how he rationalizes and lives with himself.
No one ever used and abused Blitzo. That was all him. And he hates himself for it.
@@chekhovs_gundam I don’t wanna spam comments but it’s pretty obvious to me that Fizzarolli is an absolute power bottom. See how fast he can change Asmodeus’ mood and how much the demon prince fawns over him. Fizzarolli is the one holding that leash and I love it.

For me, we can't blame Blitz OR Stolas. For me, both have fault: stolas always called blitz a "plaything", and Blitz never really tried to get emotionaly close to stolas

Blitz's reaction to how ashamed Stolas was at being called out for their relationship HURT. This really was the best kind of ep, I loved the details of these two's relationship and how everything is coming to a head. I love explorations of unhealthy relationships. I can't wait for part 2 of the finale. Hope they talk more and at least get some things sorted out ;~;

I know he says Stolas might be ashamed of Blitz being an imp, but I honestly think it's because of how the whole situation looks minus the imp bit. Being out with the one you cheated on your wife with, when someone calls you out for it, IS embarrassing.

Mind you this is hell, where status and raw power reign supreme, that's why Lucifer was able to keep his throne for millenia. Stolas is largely mocked for jeopardizing his status as a prince of hell and one of the ars goetia just to f*ck a mere imp. That's how saw it

11:30 - I've said it before in other places, and I'll say it again here: I'm 100% certain Ozzie and Fizz actually _are_ in a truly loving relationship, they just understand the importance of separating their personal life together and their professional life of running a _sex-oriented_ club, and going a bit further, it's entirely possible they might not have really had much of a problem with M&M's wholesomeness in and of itself if Moxxie hadn't been _killing the mood of their club_ with it.
Honestly after the sad stuff and me cosplaying as a waterfall I went back to where Moxxie stepped on Fizz and Ollie was genuinely concerned about him. It was as wholesome as they could be and I liked it. Then I went back to Blitzø's picture of him with his mother and sister when he was younger. Then I cosplayed as a waterfall again.
I think your completely right! We’ve seen from previous episodes that mox thinks with his heart, not his head, at the expense of other people, it’s like a couple who are so absorbed in their own love that they aren’t concerned about their surroundings, or other people, at all, and that isn’t always a good thing, there is a time and a place for things, if two surgeons left their patient on the table to smash.. that’s reckless. I’m definitely interested in how their relationship unfolds in the future, I definitely feel like mox is going to get himself into some more trouble

Saw some people wondering why Asmodeus and Fizz are:
1. Commenting on Moxie’s love song when they are clearly in love themselves?
2. Shocked that Stolas is with blitz when they themselves are also a royal and imp couple?
The answer is context.
Ozzy’s club is a lustful place.
It’s for the sexual and kinky side of a relationship.
Going onstage there and singing a wholesome love song is about the equivalent of going to a punk metal club and singing the My Little Pony theme song.
It’s just not the right place.
What’s more, Asmodeus and Fizz are a business owner and his main performer respectively.
They are dependent on the club remaining popular and making money in order to stick around.
Moxie’s lovey dovey stuff was killing the vibe and therefore a threat to business.
Are Asmodeus and Fizz clearly in love and do their own lovey dovey stuff?
Sure. Completely.
But not when they are trying to work.
Fizz tells his raunchy jokes and Asmodeus sings his sexy songs.
That’s their job.
As for their relationship being unusual due to their different species and social classes, Asmodeus’s talk with Stolas wasn’t really about him dating someone of a different background.
It was about what he threw away in order to get to it.
As far as we know, Asmodeus is not married and has no children. Therefore he can do what he likes with whomever he likes.
But Stolas was different.
Even if his marriage was arranged and unhappy, he still had a duty to it. Or at least to end it in an ethical way.
Instead he threw it away for, what the world sees anyway, a quick fling.
Asmodeus doesn’t know Blitz, but between Fizz and Verosika chewing him out he can guess that this isn’t a man in a sweet and loving relationship like Moxie and Millie.
So he can then berate Stolas for doing something foolish.
Tossing aside everything “for a thrust”.
Whether or not Asmodeus approves or not of Stolas’s decision doesn’t matter.
What matters is that he needed to point out to Stolas the inherent selfishness of the decision.
Because as a fellow royal, he can do so without retribution.
Even more cruel, he can do it while holding his own imp boyfriend. One who actually returns his affections.
Asmodeus is essentially saying with his actions: “Hey Stolas look at me. I’ve got everything you want but I didn’t have to blow up my life to get here. Maybe take some stock of why your life is fucked right now.”
Honestly I think Asmodeus approves what Stolas did and calling it out was like an advertisement, of what you should find in his local, not the lovely-dovey thing Moxxie was singing about but the lust, the desire, passion without thinking of the consequences. And besides Asmodeus as a member of the royalty must know Stolas or better he may know how much kinky or thirsty he can be; you can't be called Embodiment of lust for nothing, right?
It felt like Asmodeus was just trying to point out how truly powerful lust is, how it can ruin everything if you let it, and as the king of the lust ring that just speaks to his power. It was a.total pat on the back situation
Just to add on:
1. He didn’t actually say anything about their relationship. Wally is the one who said “are you sleeping with an imp?”
2. Asmodeous is the embodiment of lust. He is expected to sleep with basically everyone. Even if it’s an imp, it’s expected. With stolas, he has, in hell’s eyes, just slept with an imp. Like a weirdo. Like a fool.
Another is Fizz I think Hides the fact he is an imp (almost) the prince of greed is also much like the style of fizz making it look like he is whatever race rules directly under the prince instead of a lowly imp he still has his tail but I don't think they notice often. Edit:also his robots are sold without a tail
I noticed Verosika called him selfish, just like in the previous episode when in Blitz’s mind she called him the same thing. You mentioned how well this show sets everything up, I think they foreshadow everything as well. We’ve seen Blitz’s fallout with Striker, Verosika, and now the real Fizzorolli, Stolas was the last in his drug-induced hallucination to leave him, so I bet they will separate for a bit.

Ooo I like that, and it makes sense because that scene in episode 6 never really had a conclusion. It ends with Blitzø being covered in gold feathers(?), screaming and then it cuts to Moxxie.
I kind feel like the scene where she's in his face also mirrored stuff in his mind.
I kinda think Blitz will realize something when Stolas is put in the line by the killer Stolas's wife ordered...
Considering how smoking hot Verosika is Blitzo must really be bad at relationships.

They also made Josh x Ace canon. After episode 3 aired, there was a lot of fans who liked the idea of pairing them together even though there was literally no evidence for it. It was a crack ship. It was pure wishful thinking. And the Helluva Crew listened because throughout the episode, you can spot Josh and Ace at a table together, snuggling up close. I just adore this because nobody made them do this. These are two very minor characters. Hell, their names are only known because their designer put out a post on twitter with the names of all of Verosika's crew. Most people wouldn't have cared or noticed, but they still heard their fanbase's reaction to these two lust demon boys and actually decided to make it official. I have no choice but to tip my hat to the Helluva Crew.

Josh and Ace are visible a lot, and Verosika gets a speaking role, but Kiki and Milky are seen with Stolas' imp butler, and in exactly one shot, you can spot Apple and Coco waaaaay in the back by green fire next to a misplaced Josh asset with the wrong outfit on.

I find it incredibly interesting how Asmodeus and Fizzaroli show off how they despise the whole idea of being "touchy and lovey-dovey", and yet every time they interact with each other it's just... full of completeness and being in sync, with them not interrupting the song again, and after acting out the "bleh, this sucks" both suddenly nuzzle with their cheeks together, as you mentioned? I think there could be a really fun discussion about how this is an episode that is about the three type of pairs in Hell: the Stolitz, hiding everything from the society and being ashamed of their rare honesty when presented to social pressure, Ozzierolli with them being in complete control of their demon personalities and how others view them, but being hypocrites in contrast to M&Ms, who *completely* renounce Hell's obsession of embodying the sins they're stuck with, and instead finding honesty and passion against the system, to a point where the two of them don't even get hurt by one of the sovereigns, the freaking *Asmodeus* who only just throws them out. it's good character study through coupling them between one another, and how Hell and its society are represented in them!!
When Blitzø kicked Stolas out of the van... My heart broke more than a little. Our Blitzy is terrified of letting his walls down, while he's clearly envious of M&M's true love (which we already knew).
There's a really small detail that I think people have overlooked: Stolas and Asmodeus are related. When you look at their head shapes, especially when they have their hats on, they look very similar. Also, irl both Stolas and Asmodeus are in the Ars Goetia as written in the Lesser Key of Solomon, Ars Goetia also happens to be Stolas' family name and the Goetic crest can be seen on the platform in Ozzie's club. Plus, when Blitz realises its Fizzarolli Stolas says "did he say Asmodeus?" and he didn't sound happy about it, implying there may be some bad blood between them. Also Fizzarolli gives me serious Randall vibes from Monster's University, he and Blitz were probably in a relationship but Fizz ditched him to join Mammon because from what we've seen Fizz has talent while Blitz probably doesn't, at least no talent that Mammon would acknowledge. This was probably one of the main contributing factors to Blitz's fear of intimate relationships.

I read in the episode’s comments that Vivziepop herself actually overlooked every single detail of this episode from the emotional moments to the backgrounds to the pacing because she had a really specific vision, and she nailed it! I didn’t even realize this until now, but I think what really sold this episode for me is just how much it reminds me of Hazbin hotel- more than the comedy, the gorgeous settings, and even the wholesome moments, you have a tone that’s so set apart from the rest of helluva boss, and it’s the same tone you see in hazbin hotel

Little theory I have: Fizz is actually related to blitz, because blitz’s whole family has the same symbol on all of their foreheads, and Fizz follows that pattern.
The attention to detail, just perfect
For example Blitz in the car when talking the Stolas at the end, you can see a little red glow under his eye signifying that he is trying his best to hold back the tears
A theory of our little king of lust: his feelings for Fiz match those of M&M, but he keeps it covered as the king of the lust ring to protect his title and respect. This is why during the second iteration of Moxy's song for Milly he waited for the end before he said to get out.
I'm sure Asmodeus can feel love. It's just he's got a business to run.

To be fair, Ozzie really improved the song with his additions. It gave it an upswing for Moxxie to play off, so the end felt triumphant, getting a smattering of applause. So, he did help, even if he didn’t mean it that way.

The pacing was also really good. The start of Blitzo's and Stolas' date so painful, I almost had to look away, but just before it became unbearable, they switched the scene, put a focus on M&M for a bit and they continued it that way, just keeping it on the edge of being to painful to watch until the gut punch at the very end.
Ozzie has such an immediate "friends on the other side" vibe, exept he's on the other side and he ain't your friend

can we also talk about how the trips from last episode were foreshadowing and we didnt even know. Moxxie got to live his musical dream with someone he loves while Blitz gets pubicly humiliated by all of his past personificated insecurities

Their relationship is never going to work if blitz doesn’t learn to open up. It’s obvious he hasn’t had a healthy, open relationship in yearsss and I think at some point he was hurt by sharing his feelings and because of that he just doesn’t. Stolas however, understands that it’s ok to share your feelings. The scene where blitz shouts at stolas in the car really shows how much they clash when stolas suggests talking or watching a movie or cuddling and blitz has taught himself that’s wrong and immediately shuts him down and pushes him away again.
Stolas does understand though, he did get why he was upset and tried to help. Be glad he knows at least a bit of how to navigate the mind or we wouldn’t have a stolitz

Brandon Rogers is the guy that inspired me to try myself at voice acting. I mean... He is just so good at it. Expressing emotions, using different tones of voice according to the situations, just living the role of Blitzo... I can't describe enough how I admire his skill. It makes me want to be as great as he is!

I've seen so many people saying Blitzo was in the wrong in this episode, because of how he acted at the end towards Stolas, but he's not wrong, Stolas has treated every encounter they have had as purely sexual (even though it's obvious to us that Stolas loves Blitzo) he's never shown Blitzo just love, like actual love, and was even embarrassed when he was called out (watch how Blitzo cringes in that moment) ~

My emotions went more to Stolas. He has feelings for Blitzo beyond sex and has made it clear, and this episode Blitzo basically tried to gaslight the situation to excuse how he abuses Stolas' affection. He's using him for the Book and nothing more. This episode made it clear how much Stolas is willing to ignore that hoping maybe one day Blitz will want HIM. Blitz is obsessed with Moxie.
I mean, did he really made them clear? They're clear to us, since we know much more than Blitzø, but from Blitzø's prespective Stolas is mostly interested in sex, since that's how almost every interaction between them ends up. The only moments when Stolas expressed genuine care was end of last episode, but that can be easily misinterpreted by Blitzø as wanting to make sure that book is safe, and this episode but Blitzø was too emotionally distressed for that to help.
I mean, most of Stolas interaction with Blitzo has been sexual, hes the one who decided the have sex with me once a month or you lose the book u need to keep your company afloat, and in LooLoo Land when Blitz tried to establish boundries he called him cute in a babying voice.
@@abigailross1890 yeah you're right. Maybe that is all Blitzø knows, but as the audience, we have the benefit of seeing the situation differently. I believe Stolas' manner is to protect his own feelings, as he himself believes that Blitzø only would want a sexual relationship, so he acts like that's all he wants as well. That's what I think, anyway. Veronika's verse in Asmodeus' song basically backs that up, Blitzø is sexually selfish and really can't handle emotional attachment. I understand why Stolas presented himself that way.
I also think there are little ways he's made it clear he could go for emotional relationship as well, but the emotionally delayed and immature Blitzø failed to see it. Instead of being obsessed on Moxie, Millie, and their sex life, he's missing an opportunity with someone who genuinely cares for him--and he's another GIRLDAD to boot! 😍

My interpretation is that at first sex really was all that Stolas was looking for, being somewhat obsessed with Blitz for bring a spark into his life after who knows how long of a dead marriage, and that only recently, perhaps after Ep 6 close call, has he realized he wants more, which is why he treats Blitz so differently in this Ep then the others.
One thing that should definitely be taken into consideration for how the Stolitz "Date" went down is the fact that for ONE of them it has never been a date in the first place.
Blitz didn't invite Stolas for the intention he then (kinda unintentionally tho) let him believe and therefore both went in with COMPLETELY different attitudes and expectations that very obviously _dont mix well_ . This miscommunication is never set right which naturally lead to such a disaster of a departure at the end.
It wasn't really miscommunication tho, since Stolas did let Blitzo know that he thinks it's a date (twice even) and Blitzo did nothing to correct him, even going as far as saying that is was, indeed, a date. So while HE didn't consider it a date, he did intentionally let Stolas think so
I would feel sorry for him had he not emotionally tricked stolas into thinking he was making a move to actually solidify his relationship whereas in reality it was all just to spy on his co-workers.

They’ve really improved the art
The fact that they started to target Stolas in this ep made it so much more for me. Mainly cause we've already picked up Blitz's struggles by previous eps and we have seen how Stolas ex-wife and daugther have been effected by everything- but we've never really seen Stolas pain up until now. Yes, we saw him upset when his was with Octavia but that was mainly about how she was effted by her parents divorce. This ep actually showed Stolas in a really depressed state for many reasons and for him to also be called out for loving someone of 'lower class' must have hurt alot as well. I hope we get to see more on him and his struggles as well as more of Blitz!

Don't think I've seen such a lovely couple like the M&Ms since Gomez and Morticia (early Cosmo and Wanda were like this before their show's Season Rot, but oh well). It warms my heart to see a cartoon tackle relationships both good and bad, functional and dysfunctional, and explore how they affect the characters' journeys.
I haven't even watched the show outside of clips on the internet and...god, they're so damn adorable.
I feel bad for Blitzo, but at the same time it’s his own fault for him being embarrassed. No one told him to be nosy and impede on Moxxie and Millie’s anniversary
No... public humiliation is never someone's fault. His reasons for being there were anything but good, and he dragged around Stolas with a lie. There's a reason not a single inch of ridicule dragged out of Moxxie or Millie. They're not happy with him being there, but they're not going to stoop so low as to throw shame on his name.
And this is exactly it though. Blitzo knows he messes up. He's messed up on every relationship he's had, he's afraid of losing his friends and the hellhound he considers his daughter. He's afraid, and wonders if maybe he didn't exist in their lives that they'd never suffer. The one with the most trauma right now is Blitz. He's likely struggling to even stay alive if he's preemptively removing himself from photos. Depressed individuals often create even worse circumstances.
Blitzo defended them when they were being mocked. Yes it’s his own fault when he could’ve let those two get insulted on stage and protected himself, but he actually cares for the two of them
@@ma.2089 Yup... he inadvertently saved M&M's night. He didn't have to stand up for them. He could have just stayed quite, hiding behind his menu as his employees got ripped apart for loving each other.
Blitzo knew that Fizz would immediately recognize him when he spoke up. Blitzo knew Fizz would take the opportunity to publicly ridicule him. He never defended himself, after all, during the entire song. He took the fire off of Moxxie. What he wasn't expecting was for Verosika to be there and jump in on the band wagon. And RIIIP into him. Or for Stolas to be dragged into that situation either.
And I think that's why Blitzo was so completely wrecked by the end. Not only was every wound ripped open, but he hurt his date with his actions in the process. And... the reality of their situation blunty stated that HE was the reason Stolas' life is in shambles, and Stolas was ashamed of it, to top it all off. The entire evening was just everyone seemingly screaming "YOU'RE WORTHLESS, BLITZO, AND A WORTHLESS HOMEWRECKER!"
The level of self-loathing he was probably feeling at the table when Stolas reached for him was probably unbearable.

I was just simping this whole episode, my lesbian butt was crushing over Versoika's new outfit and just her in general, the music was awesome and we got to hear alex brightman again, the art was gorgeous and hits the exact color pallettes I love, and then the shipping potential and this continues the trend of me saying each new episode is my favorite

Blitz is a huge mood. Surely some of us can relate to how we kinda want love, but pushes everyone away because fear of abandonment. This episode is a climax to said fear.
Can we all admit that this animation gets better and better with each episode? Also round of applause to all the voice actors, animators an just... everyone in general it looks like they all did an amazing job and it shows.

Blitz and Stolas are absolute disasters and I am completely invested in their relationship. This episode is so heart wrenching and perfectly in character for both of them. I gotta give mad props to the voice actors and animators, the emotional expressions are on point and you can hear them trying to hold back tears in their performances. I’m blown away by how good the emotional moments are in this silly imp murder comedy show they’ve absolutely outdone themselves
This episode was SO GOOD. It did exactly what it was supposed to, but boy, did I get such bad second-hand embarrassment, it kicked me in the gut to see the characters getting mocked and hurting so much
Will note that a healthy relationship that Moxxie and Millie have might be abnormal in the Lust ring but not everywhere else. Granted, in the Greed ring, there might be plenty of relationships that are just fueled by one, or both, sides wanting more money but still.

I adored Ozzie's voice and I love Stolas's. In the second episode Stolas's song to Octavia was really pretty and his voice sounded so gentle and sweet. I actually did tear up at the end of the episode. That is why her stuff is so good, she can do a complete 180 on the mood and go from making you laugh to kicking you in the feels.

I loved Asmodeus’ introduction. The whole song was great and his VA killed it playing him and I loved Fizz’s duet with him.
I can personally relate to Blitzo especially with his feelings towards Stolas at the end. Feeling like he's just there to make Stolas feel pleasure. That kind of breakdown in front of stolas and in his own house. Stolas and Blitzo both have their own problems and are dealing with them in unhealthy ways.
I recently went back and watched episode 6’s trippy musical truth serum sequence and noticed something.
When Blitz is hallucinating and in the clown costume, there’s a tear drop mark on the white part of his face. A tear drop tattoo can symbolize that you have committed a murder, remorse, or a reminder of a mistake. This possibly adds credibility to the theory that something he did resulted in the death of his mother
Let us all notice that in Blitz's house, all the pictures that have him in them have his face scribbled out

It made me sad when I saw Stolas eating cereal alone and how he looked down at the other end of the table as if Stella or Octavia was there but they weren’t and then he ate cereal and watched tv alone and how he wanted to hang out with Blitzo and it makes me wonder what happens in Stolas head when he got called out like if it was really worth it that he lose his wife and how Octavia is getting older and she’s starting to hang out with her mom a bit and stay with her and oof!! This episode just had me sad
Stolas does say that Octavia and Stella are away for the weekend. So, they could still live there but had left for some 'mother/daughter bonding' or something else.

The animation in the last two and a half minutes of this episode deserves as much praise as Brandon's voice acting. Blitzø's expressions and body language are perfectly on-point. Watch his gesture at 6:06 in this review. It's a small thing, but combined with his dialogue, it's amazing.

Fizz could also be Blitz' brother or half-brother since the older woman in his picture (canonically Tilla, the big sister/or mother of Blitz) has simiral head and mouth shape to Fizz.
They also have the same mark on the forehead. But I dunno if that has to do with being related or something to do with mammon.
Something I feel was missing from this, and something I think most people haven't even caught onto, is that Blitzo is so obsessed with Moxie and Millie because he craves to have a relationship like theirs. Like he observes them with a very obvious obsession, but I think that it's not just being a weirdo or perv, I think it's because he wants to learn from them. He wants to learn how to love like they do. That just breaks my heart.
Man can Blitzo ever get a break from being sad.

i was thinking about how stolas ends on the stairs of his home. it made me think about the part in blitz trip when he was climbing the stairs to stolas. was it symbolism for stolas also feeling trapped in their relationship like blitzø feels?

Stolas was probably already feeling trapped in an unhappy marriage until it finally broke apart and she left, probably also worsening the feeling of loneliness.

A little detail I’ve noticed at 6:45 you mentioned stolas couldn’t handle the pressure of being seen with an imp.
But after Millie knocks out the club singer so moxie could continue his duet despite the spectators and hecklers, stolas just kinda looks at them and goes “huh.”
And reached for blitz hand.
But it looks like the damage has been done.
As blitz pulled away his hand and told stolas to leave.
Despite being mocked in the club it looked like stolas had no problem being affectionate at that very moment almost as if he was ready to committee (just speculation)
as if the imps duet inspired him.
I mean to a degree the singers in the club were right stolas had came of a bit rapey and lustful and it bordered on fetishization on stolas part.
And then there the whole book contract they got going on.

One thing! Pretty sure Blitz and Stolas have liked each other from the start, but don't know to properly show it. Also it seems like Stolas's first date didn't go very well, I'm assuming it's his first date based on how he was acting during it. If my first part is wrong then they might've developed actual feelings before Mox and Blitz got captured by those crazy humans. Anyway forget their relationship for a moment! I wanna know more about Blitz's family!
While I understand the need for setup... Blitzo's denial about his feelings for Stolas, his general fear of intimacy, and his insecurities about his place in the world have been building up to this moment for so long... that if I don't get to see part 2 soon and see it resolved IN ITS ENTIRETY...

Seeing Stolas sad honestly broke me and has me worried for him. I'm also remembering the second episode and the song he sang for Octavia that again has me worried for him.
I like how Loona wrote Blitz a note letting him know where she is. I saw that as caring.

Personal guess is that blitz wants love desperately that he adopted. It doesn’t matter what kind of love.
We see both how lonely stolas and blitz were.
so I’m guessing loona had no one to turn to, he wanted someone as lonely as him.
But now she’s out at parties and socializing he’s has no one.

@@kayleejazz1669 There are couple of things that has been baffling me for a while now. First of all, why would authorities let Blitzø adopt Loona when she was already an adult. I mean, good for her, she clearly needs family just as much as Blitzø, but that is kinda weird.
Second of all, how come she has syphilis while being a virgin? I feel like this whole syphilis plot got dropped, but we will see.
She wasn’t an adult she says I was almost eighteen and he adopted her for business reasons it seems. You can catch certain disease and still be a “virgin” or she may have tried to come off as an adult in that moment or was a one off Joke.
I mean if you think about it, Loona and Blitzø are both very similar people.
They're both clearly very lonely and struggle to let people in, and use alcohol, sex, and just generally terrible coping mechanisms to cope with that pain.
Blitzø was probably just walking by the orphanage and happened to see Loona, and she did something that made him realize that he's just like her. So he adopted her.
