in my old mini 4wd, i use the biggest roller i could find and make it so my car is as wide as the track, this give the best stability but i'm not sure if still holds true after 20 years, because now we have bunch of new rollers and bumper that i never seen before...
Still true but stays have holes nowadays, the smaller the roller use the outermost part of the roller stay. In some cases rollers only have 2 holes, 19 and 13 mm, but there are also roller stays have 11, and 9mm roller holes. The holes are premade so any size of roller wiill relatively the same in terms of car width and distances to track wall

How about roller installation? , is it allowed to install in any hole or just specific hole?
As i know, the roller should install specific hole. car's width has to be under 105mm. it's madatory

@Yeremia Verdika technically half true, it's recommended that you install rollers in their recommended spot. But *if* they can be installed elsewhere without compromising the rules, you're free to do so
OR
If you're going to Outlaw class where rules do not usually apply, and that looks are more prioritised, feel free to install wherever you can
