I'll upload a tutorial covering this run since not many people know how to double hover. It'll have to wait until family is done visiting.
So that's the jump I've been missing. I'm already doing a new video on this course as well, do you mind if I show you're double hover method? I'll obviously give you credit on the video of course.

@@leonjames2142 Its not cheating . He hit forward on the stone und and then he jumped . Normally then is ground unter the player , because now are not ground under him , the long jump ( jetpack ) are activatet , but its count like a normel jump on the bottom . Because of this he has still the hit and the longjump ( jetpack ) . Its very hard to make but possible .
@@leonjames2142 He explains in the video that it’s a strategy lol. You punch before falling off the surface you’re on and then hover, then punch again and you can hover again. Don’t say people cheat before you understand what they’re doing!

I completed my first speedruns offline. got 51. when connecting to online for the first time, seeing those 30 sec times, i thought surely those are hacked....

Its definitely super fun to get into! I feel like speedruns/time trials are getting more notoriety which is super cool to see. I had a couple years experience in other games prior so It didn’t take me too long to get used to the double hover trick.
And here I was being proud of myself for getting a gold trophy for my total time of exactly 7 minutes.... 😂😂

I haven't seen many speedruns of many games but it's honestly so impressive to me how people come up with different ways to complete something. I'm not really one to think outside of the box much unfortunately
I always wanted to have a world record top score. There is a big community for it also It's a good way to go viral. You just have to want it bad enough is all. I've noticed just from randomly working on beating my own top score sometimes you'll accidentally find better strategies but yes some of what these people figure out is even impressive to the creator's.

@@jdingers when coming off a ledge if you punch just before falling you can hover and the game doesn’t think you, you can then spin into another hover.

Nice. I got mid 40s doing it semi regular. Going to see what I can do using this strategy. Might take some time but I'm gunning for top 3. Didn't know you could get a double jump in like he does in video. That's definitely a game changer once perfected
How do you do the laser, spin and then another laser?? I cannot work that out 😳
I know it's a bit late to talk about this but it doesn't matter, the double laser is very easy. What you have to do is that before jumping you must hit while still on the ground and right after that when you fall you will fly instead of jumping and turn and then use the laser again😁

How do you do the double hover
Omfg I took a huge break from speedrunning these and now I can't get enough distance on the double laser legs. 😂
How did you do Jet boots to punch to jet boots at 22 secs? :/
czcams.com/video/WmfsOc7q-Es/video.html I explain the technique briefly in this video. the same concept applies. Basically you want to press punch and then jump/hover as you are falling off a ledge. This allows you to store a second hover as shown in the speedrun. And as of 5 days ago this isnt patched because I did a bit of speedrunning again for these levels. This timing is very tight for the button presses, it just takes practice

the jump with the first birds is not possible to fly over just before you always crash
watch the video back in slow-mo. the main thing you want to compare to is how far you fall compared to me. I promise you that your double hover is delayed too much and you lost too much height.

speed-run records shouldn't count when glitches are utilized (double-hover)
guess probably about 95% of things shouldnt count. Also if they wanted to they would just patch it out and reset leaderboards. They did it for the base game, they couldve easily did it for this mode. Its not even hard to do

Dude, this is some kind of a cheat, you hover, spin and hover again, impossible, after hover and spin, there is no more boost for hover again
You should watch the mountain run tutorial. The first hover is basically replacing your jump. But simply put, punching while falling off a ledge combined with a hover input allows you to do a second hover in the same sequence
