I applied to a business I had worked for previously a few months ago (it was a seasonal job and I had no issues working with them before) and it took them an entire month to finally message me back asking for when i can do an interview. I reply that I'm available anytime during the week and never got a reply, went and asked the managers at the business the next day about it and was told "oh they had a sudden family emergency, they'll get back to you asap" and the following day the person messaged me saying: "Sorry, all our positions are currently filled, good luck on your job search"
When I got the reply asking to come in for an interview and when I could do so I canceled my plans to be able to do said interview. nothing like having your time pointlessly wasted when job searching

One thing I always hate about people complaining on reddit about someone eating their food at work or school behind their backs. ALWAYS they'll get at LEAST one "You don't know their situation, they might be starving, literally!" and it's like - okay but they don't know the OP's situation either, and their lunch at work might be the only meal they have all day too.

Hah that Subway story, in 2022 I was out with a few friends having dinner at a restaurant and when the checks came they had added a 20% gratuity, ON TOP of asking for a tip. We flat-out refused to pay the gratuity, and offered to tip the waitress directly instead. The manager tried to get the law involved and well I guess he didn't recognize my friend as the assistant district attorney for my county, because he looked positively sheepish when he got schooled in the illegality of expecting people to pay for a charge they didn't agree to in advance, and oh by the way when's the last time your kitchen was inspected... meal comped lol
Still never went back to that place though. Screw that nonsense, mandatory gratuity. How about raise the prices on the menu and pay your people what they're worth. If you want to charge $10 for a burger, charge $10 for a burger. Don't charge $5, then add a gratuity I didn't agree to, AND expect a tip on top of that.
Oh and the thing with the Muslim, depending on how strict he adheres to the dietary rules he might not be able to eat ANY of that meal, since it was served with pork the entire meal could be viewed as unclean. Hell, some real hardliners, if they even so much as SMELL cooked pork, they have to do this whole cleaning ritual called the wudu or something like that.

4:57 noraly if i eat diner or food i thend to like at lest try to clean the dishware entogh to be put into the dish washer and then have my famly just run the dish washer. also its not that hard if your lvieing with othes just rinse off the dishes and then put it in the dish washer for later then when its ready to wath the dishes in one go then get the dish waser cleaing prucdons laoded into the dish washer and then have the dishwasher do the rest of the cleaing that you can't get off with the reglear dish risneing and scrubing in the sink. dish washers are ment to bacly help do the stuff that you don't want to spend all day working on for just every little super ahtrd to inpect and find smear and speck of food and orther stuff if the dishwaser bacly help bacly just do the finshring left over work hard to find tetoisu sruff for you needed to get the dishes fully cleaned off. dishwashers bacly do the rest that you don't want to spend all day on. but diong most of the dish cleaing untill you can put it into the dish waher only takes a few seconuds of risnhnig and scrubing anyway. tis dish washer just realy does the fisning touches of cleaing the dishes and disifeacting the dishes. you just do most of the work and the dish washer just does the rest of teh stuff your have left over that is very little left to clean anyway.
also pots and pans are even far more eqasy to only need to be cleaned in the sink bescue they normaly don't even have food eve stick on them most of the time anyway. also a big entogh dish washer can also help fisnhed cleaing and disinfecting thsoe too as well by the way.
also for pots and pans just soak the inside of the pots and pans with vinger to get the real sticky stuff off after rshing and scrubing it in the sink if you realy need to get a realy stuborn realy burnd and sicky thing off by the way. i have seen my dad do that for the realy stuborn stcky burned stuff. but it will take all night for it to break down. also if you realy need to use some realy strong soda or even rubing alcohole soak then soak with vinger after wards if you need the nuclear opsion.
