You can buy 4 yards. It all depends on how big or how small you want your flounce to be.

Two yards will not be ok for the two sleeves. You know it's the same fabric you are going to use as lining. And you are going to cut it in circles.

Yes you can.
The needle hits the braid and pulls trough the fabric, damaging the braid. What is the solution to this problem?
I didn't have this experience when I was doing mine. Maybe you should check your needle if it's too big

I don't think it needs it. But it's optional. You can actually add it on yours if you like. Mine came out well even without it.
