    An amazing intro featuring Hugo and Bond! LOVE IT!
    Talking about future Bond watches and ideas, is an interesting topic that a Bond fan myself likes to see.
    It is incredible to think that the legend himself Sean Connery, is now 90 years old, and 15 years ago since his last role as Bond in the 'From Russia With Love' video game.

    The Hugo Intro is EPIC!!!! Love it! The NTTD Omega is my Grail at the moment. I actually LOVE the faux patina and the aesthetics. However I am also impressed by your version too although I would prefer a matt black or grey or brown dial to straight black. I totally get why you chose your handset - for the nod to the military past. Looks very much like the CWC divers still being made now for a similar reason I think. For my ultimate bond watch it would be the NTTD but with the latest aqua terra chrono format - with a subdial at 3pm featuring the classic Omega Chrono function (hours & minutes) and a GMT Subdial at 9pm. The Broad Arrow would still remain above the 6. There would be a date option (at 6 and the date wheel would be colour coded) as well as a no date version. This piece would have perfect symmetry. I have a bigger wrist and my eyes aren't exactly young so 42mm or even 44mm would be ideal for me .I would maintain the beautiful brown colour scheme and the faux patina and full lume. (The Chrono hands and the GMT hands would be lumed as well). Cool video - love stuff that gets us inspired!

    My favorite video of yours yet, TGV. I do this all the time, glad to see I'm not alone. I love your design as well. I agree with everyone saying they'd like to see the helium escape valve gone (why can't Omega use a discreet one like Rolex). Only thing other than that I would change is that I would like the those indices to be applied metal indices with black borders to match the hands. I don't care for printed dials/indices, they look flat and cheep to me. Oh, and I would definitely wear it on your Valor strap!

  • @ashleysmith89
    @ashleysmith89 Před 3 lety

    I love the thoughtfulness and meaning behind every change you suggested. I do feel like the thick lumed hour markers overwhelm the hands, and I'd make your numerals larger. The dial of the Sinn 556 is more legible because of that proportional relationship. Anyway, I think Omega should extend that offer! BTW, you should do an episode on homage watches that are arguably better than the originals.

    Big Bond fan here, and obviously a watch enthusiast. My feelings towards the NTTD Seamaster are the same as those towards most of Omega's recent releases. Too much leaning on gimmicks. I think the Broccoli's should choose the Black Bay 58 as Bond's next watch. Vintage vibes (but not garish, like the extreme faux patina on the Seamaster), subtle styling, and practicality. Perfectly Bond! Sadly, I think it's unlikely they'll drop Omega any time soon. Love my old Brosnan Seamaster though - it's a brilliant example of what innovative and thoughtful design can create.

    Fantastic video. Hugo is always on point.
    For me the changes would be regular Seamaster bracelet or the milanese to have proper end links. The helium valve would be gone. The scalloped bezel replaced with a coin edge. Also I keep the original numbering pattern where every number is marked, my ocd cannot accept that 10min marks are not labelled but just us large digits.
    The whole valour thing is meaningless to me unless people are committing fraud pretending to be veterans.
    This was a very interesting video. Hopefully you do more in the future. Looking forward to future videos. Keep up the good work.

    I love the big triangle design and would love to see some kind of reissue. I wouldn't mind seeing it in 42mm either as I believe the original was 42mm itself (it's case being a variation of the Speedmaster professional).
    PS
    Waiting for the inevitable TGV vs Hugo showdown...

    Best be careful TGV. That proto reptile looks like he's got his sights on you and the good Gentry. 😉

    Hugo has definitely got the measure of James Bond😂
