Fantastic video, really enjoyed this one - especially the references the classic Seamaster 300 and the 2254. Keep up the good work!
That’s an absolute beauty and a perfect toolwatch at the same time. Great design Tristano!
I stumbled onto your channel randomly while surfing CZcams, and now I’ve been binge watching the past week. I really enjoy your in depth reviews and unique style for presenting, it is clear how much enthusiasm you have! I look forward to seeing your new content, keep up the great work.
I'll take yours over the official watch any time
Well said, I like the old dial though, but every other change I agree, totally.
These intros are something else!
The intro was a hoot, well done!
You just perfectly described my dream watch.
Although I'm an Omega fan if Bond's next watch is not the one as you described it should be a no date sub.
Dear Tristano, I am sure I spotted one of our vintage 1950's French Military pouches in this video. Nice touch Sir. I trust you are well. Thank you.
This is the kind of content that needs to be shared on youtube, this channel is wholesome and extremely entertaining. Thank you for the good content Tgv keep it up man 👍
I especially enjoyed this video. Hearing your thought process while gradually seeing the changes mount and the watch evolve was both gripping and educational. I'd love to see more videos in this "dream watch" format.
Wow, thats some watch you've just put together there! 100% agree with the design motivations. Minus that unsightly helium escape crown . Omega take note!!!
God i love these intros. Just what i need after a stressfull day ! Thank you.
An amazing intro featuring Hugo and Bond! LOVE IT!
Talking about future Bond watches and ideas, is an interesting topic that a Bond fan myself likes to see.
It is incredible to think that the legend himself Sean Connery, is now 90 years old, and 15 years ago since his last role as Bond in the 'From Russia With Love' video game.
Greetings from Denmark!
Very very well done, TGV! Loved the intro. The whole family stopped and watched the video. Excellent thought put into the piece. I am sure Omega would have sold a great deal more of them if they had gotten a few of your ideas! Very nice. Onwards and upwards!
Damn I just got out of watch rehab and now this video! I've relapsed again. Lol
What a beauty.
TGV, your Seamaster is fantastic. It combines the modern and vintage styles fantastically to create a great homage to all the Seamasters that came before while remaining unique enough to be its own, new watch.
Hugo and I are from the east! lol What a fantastic intro. Masterful editing and great sense of humour. Personally I think Planet Ocean is best what Omega has to offer, I just wish they make more options in 39.5mm. So PO would be my choice. I enjoyed this video very much and loved the watch you came up with
Outstanding choice, if I was to go Omega, I would chose the same. I so nearly bought the 39mm PO so many times.
Thank you Bear,
Best regards,
TGV
Big hug from Portugal!
Continue with the good work!
Gonna watch de video now, already has a good start from Hugo👍
With some companies continuing to endorse these ever expanding watch sizes I think you're 39mm design hit the nail on the head. Perfect blend of all the classics . Not looking at you Rolex, I swear...
Let's bring back the Planet Ocean!
Whenever I pop by this channel, the intros never fail to impress - production value is most definitely on an onwards and upwards trajectory.
What an episode!! I always enjoy your passion in horology and creativity in tailoring video in film-like fashion. Respect TGV Sir!
The Hugo Intro is EPIC!!!! Love it! The NTTD Omega is my Grail at the moment. I actually LOVE the faux patina and the aesthetics. However I am also impressed by your version too although I would prefer a matt black or grey or brown dial to straight black. I totally get why you chose your handset - for the nod to the military past. Looks very much like the CWC divers still being made now for a similar reason I think. For my ultimate bond watch it would be the NTTD but with the latest aqua terra chrono format - with a subdial at 3pm featuring the classic Omega Chrono function (hours & minutes) and a GMT Subdial at 9pm. The Broad Arrow would still remain above the 6. There would be a date option (at 6 and the date wheel would be colour coded) as well as a no date version. This piece would have perfect symmetry. I have a bigger wrist and my eyes aren't exactly young so 42mm or even 44mm would be ideal for me .I would maintain the beautiful brown colour scheme and the faux patina and full lume. (The Chrono hands and the GMT hands would be lumed as well). Cool video - love stuff that gets us inspired!
Woke up this morning, saw this was uploaded, made breakfast and hot cocoa for me and the missus and we watched the latest "TGVideo" together on the telly. Amazing way to start the day! Great work.
Absolutely brilliant. Pays tribute to multiple generations of Bond, blends practicality with beautiful aesthetic, provides a few customizations for the end user, even gives back to charity. Just brilliant. Would love to see Omega make something like this happen.
Honestly my interest increased greatly when you just changed the cream to white on the base NTTD but I also really dig the final product. Sounds like a perfect fit all around!
I'd buy that watch - great concept. I hope omega is watching and they release a non-limited edition version. Great Show!
My grandfather, a Norwegian immigrant who won his citizenship and a homestead in Montana by serving as a Doughboy in World War I (gassed at Verdun), went back to Norway one last time in the 70's. When he came back to Illinois he had four Omega's strapped to his wrist. But given the intro it's clear this is must watch CZcams.
Sir! The best intro yet! I hope the powers that be at Omega are watching you. That is a much better watch that you've created. Uncluttering the dial, and the red triangle on the bezel, spot on!
Smashing intro! I had NO idea Hugo was so immersed in international intrigue.
Hugo!😂 always entertaining cheers 🥂
TGV, nice job once again. Very informative! Spot on with ur “ultimate seamaster” . Keep em coming. Regards to Sir Hugo 🤣🦖
Can't lie, this is your best vid so far. Love entertaining hypotheticals and the visuals were on-point. Also a great history lesson. Maybe you should try modding an skx in a manner akin to the Omega you just described.
Man oh man... I love this channel. Production quality is all aces! Plus hugo... Can't be beat!
Well I had to click like immediately after that hilarious intro! My favourite aspect of your design was the red pip on the bezel which is a lovely complement to the lollipop seconds hand red. Classy touch!
Solid video. Right amount of history lessons, and very thoughtful design. That watch would be an instant classic.
That looks fantastic, TGV! Loved it!
That lorier series 1, wearing mine on a bond NATO while watching this. So glad I found one. A keeper for sure. 🙌
Enjoyed this one even more than most. Keep up the great work!
Omega was always my favorite but the second crown at 10 o'clock just ruins it.
Great video! Love your Omega design - I'd personally have it without the red highlights however completely see why you included it. Blancpain FF would be pretty cool
Great design choices TGV. I definitely prefer your version instead of the oversized, faux patina Bond watch. Cracking job!
I would love to see Girard Perregaux or Fortis in a James Bond movie. Just because I'm a GP and Fortis fan boy 😎.
Looking forward to the next one!
Regards,
Koen
OMG, Bond and Fortis, that would be AMAZING!!!!!!!
I adore GP too, so underrated, great buys on the used market too.
Og course you are a Fortis and GP fan, I expected nothing less.
Pure class my friend, pure class!!!
Best regards,
TGV
Your attention to detail exceptional. I enjoy the videos tremendously. Thank you.
That intro was brilliant Tristano so clever, I don't know how you do it.!
For me would be the brand Smith's for the James bond watch, this particular Smith's piece's is being several events, for sure utility in my opinion, great video as always 👍🏼👍🏼...
“You puny hoomans” 😂
You absolutely NAILED it!!! PERFECT DESIGN. It looks INCREDIBLE, I would definitely save to buy one of those!!!
Great watch TGV, stunning. To answer your closing question, I'd suggest Hamilton.
I love the design for the new Bond watch! I would say if Bond were to try a new brand of watch I would say a Glycine Airman 18 would be a great fit. The case is already 39mm, it has a fantastic military history, it is 200 meters water resistant, and the GMT function would be functional for travel.
First! Keep them coming Hugo, no i mean TGV, no i mean, well u know!
God you’re good! More James Bond and im loving it! Wish every watch video could be this way haha. Love the new watch you made bu i still think the NTTD Seamaster is amazing as is
And id pick Tudor for Bond. The name alone makes me think of the British which would be great for Bond and then they also make the BB58 which i think would be perfect
Man, your knowledge about the history of watches is just astonishing.. also I really really liked your take on the new Bond Watch
Another amazing intro. Keep up the good work TGV!
The Spectre Seamaster I own is a good balance between modern and vintage military.Always entertaining your videos
My Seamaaster 2254 Peter Blake is one of my favs. The perfect toolwatch for me. Light, slim, under the radar, cosc, relatively inexpensive (for now)... thanks for the content, TGV!
Great vidéo, loved the concept !
I love my Seamaster, thanks for another great video TGV !!!
My favorite video of yours yet, TGV. I do this all the time, glad to see I'm not alone. I love your design as well. I agree with everyone saying they'd like to see the helium escape valve gone (why can't Omega use a discreet one like Rolex). Only thing other than that I would change is that I would like the those indices to be applied metal indices with black borders to match the hands. I don't care for printed dials/indices, they look flat and cheep to me. Oh, and I would definitely wear it on your Valor strap!
I love the thoughtfulness and meaning behind every change you suggested. I do feel like the thick lumed hour markers overwhelm the hands, and I'd make your numerals larger. The dial of the Sinn 556 is more legible because of that proportional relationship. Anyway, I think Omega should extend that offer! BTW, you should do an episode on homage watches that are arguably better than the originals.
Hi TGV
Yup, you nailed it😊
When it comes to the choice of hands - aha, sword hands like on my 300 Electric Blue. I picked that one for the same reason. All though I like the style of the skeletonized hands the sword hands are more useful. Agree on the size, a 39mm version would be welcome...
Keep up the good work👍
I've acctually got a watch in my collection that donated to the RBL, it is only a cheap Quartz Limit but was still proud to buy it to help them.
Loved the Hugo bit, he definately needs his own Movie.
How do I get one? Lol Seriously I enjoy your videos good sir, the variety and sophistication are unmatched. Unlike other youtubers who can come off as snobbish, what really made me a fan was that you always make it a point to say that if it tickles your fancy, go and get it. Hats off to you sir.
Thank you so much Reginald, you are are very kind for saying so.
Best regards,
TGV
Hey TGV -- great ideas for the next Bond watch -- especially dropping it down to 39mm. The world needs fewer 40+ watches!
Excellent video...loved the 'magic wand' wish list approach and it was hard to argue with any of your choices...as a Bond fan, i approve! :)
Awesome content, as always! I didn't find the answer anywhere but is it possible to have the links of the camera you're using? I've only found your micro and lens on your amazon's shop, which is a good start.
Cheers!
Thank you Jean,
I will update the Amazon store with all my equipment soon.
Best regards,
TGV
Love the suggested changes. I do prefer a 40mm over 42 these days. Interestingly enough, the Goldeneye Seamaster was my first luxury watch also!! Recently had my mitts on a 2011 version, but it's been traded out😁 Great video as always Tristano!! Thank you. 👍
Nice video. Instead of just showing your design, you took it step by step. Very fun to watch!
Hi TGV, another great video. They just keep coming! I thought about it and I'd like to see Bond with a Reverso. He would leave the opera only to be later accosted by the villains and of course would flip his Classic Reverso before engaging in martial arts :). I'm still in the honeymoon stage with mine if you can't tell. My Best, John
Appreciate the nod to the luminous dial Tag Heuer from The Living Daylights.
My favorite, and an under appreciated Bond watch! (Maybe Bond film as well)
The Casio Duro. They are highly affordable and can be changed to suit any occasion. They are actually my frugal Bond/homage Omega. Ever since you did you video on them. Also they have a nice 200 meter water resistance
That intro man, amazing
I loved the vid TGV....great as always! As an alternative Bond watch, I would suggest the Marathon GSAR. I recently acquired one and totally love it. Can’t beat the militaristic style of this one, along with its purpose driven characteristics!!! Tough as nails, just like Bond...
I would base the Bond watch on the "other" Seamaster 300, the version with the 1957 case and coin-edged bezel. I would add applied indices and your changes - the broad arrow hands, the fully indexed bezel and the red arrow at the lume pip.
This was a journey! Excellent viewing.
That would be a wonderful timepiece, best wishes from the UK 🤙🏻
A very well thought through design that considers the history of both Omega and the Bond franchise.
I think a great Bond watch would be the Christopher Ward C60 Trident Pro 600.
Seriously good video! Great ideas. Thanks!
Clicked "liked" immediately to avoid a dreaded pâté demise! Love Hugo! As always, entertaining and informative
presentaion by TGV.
Fabulous intro!! By the way, I need that Yema!!! Cheers!
As a 2254 owner and a Amsterdam Vintage watches fan, this was very enjoyable to watch!
Thank you so much TGV for the review. A Bond omega is definitely on my grail list!
These intros with Hugo never fail, lol.
Nice looking watch you've specced up there. Love it in both bands. The Nato one in particular co-ordinating perfectly.
This man has the best intros in the game! Well done! Love the videos
Just saw this pop up in my subscriptions - highlight of the day. Great intro! As always.
Big Bond fan here, and obviously a watch enthusiast. My feelings towards the NTTD Seamaster are the same as those towards most of Omega's recent releases. Too much leaning on gimmicks. I think the Broccoli's should choose the Black Bay 58 as Bond's next watch. Vintage vibes (but not garish, like the extreme faux patina on the Seamaster), subtle styling, and practicality. Perfectly Bond! Sadly, I think it's unlikely they'll drop Omega any time soon. Love my old Brosnan Seamaster though - it's a brilliant example of what innovative and thoughtful design can create.
It was my wristshot which inspired the Photoshop! Cheers for the UGWC for being such an amazing group of enthusiasts!
You're right, Bond is obviously a watch guy. That being the case, there's no way he'd only have watches from one brand. Personally, I can't believe he wouldn't have a Panerai in his collection. A simple Luminor Marina or a Submersible Bronzo?
Monsieur Gentry, this is simply the best and most equivocal Seamaster I have seen in my life! ok, ciao!
I love this concept put forth! In the words of Capt. J.L. Picard, "Make it so!"
Love your final design, great vid
Great video. I agree with all your observations, including the proposed improvements.
Fantastic video. Hugo is always on point.
For me the changes would be regular Seamaster bracelet or the milanese to have proper end links. The helium valve would be gone. The scalloped bezel replaced with a coin edge. Also I keep the original numbering pattern where every number is marked, my ocd cannot accept that 10min marks are not labelled but just us large digits.
The whole valour thing is meaningless to me unless people are committing fraud pretending to be veterans.
This was a very interesting video. Hopefully you do more in the future. Looking forward to future videos. Keep up the good work.
I love the big triangle design and would love to see some kind of reissue. I wouldn't mind seeing it in 42mm either as I believe the original was 42mm itself (it's case being a variation of the Speedmaster professional).
PS
Waiting for the inevitable TGV vs Hugo showdown...
Best be careful TGV. That proto reptile looks like he's got his sights on you and the good Gentry. 😉
Hugo has definitely got the measure of James Bond😂
Why wait for Omega to do it? I know a guy at Long Island Watches....
For sure if you told him to, He would rush on it ! 😉
