My comfort give you discomfort
Just know that in the hood they gonâ bump this
And Iâm only strong as my circle
The things that shaped me wouldâve murked you
I didnât have to die so that they could call me the great one Didnât take a couple albums people said it from day one
From wings with hot sauce to tuna tartare
Driven in RRâs
From hiding from robbery victims in back of cop cars
Tatted from my neck to abdomen
Almost gettinâ shot was averaginâ once every two weeks
Blessed what I had to been
These painful words, hearing these liars puttinâ my name in dirt Aim and I burst, pistol practice until my fingers hurt
I hit my target, uh, I up the margin
What they on?
You know how Nas do, donât get me started
Chic, sleek, and snazzy from a small family
Fine taste, and I hate the unsatisfactory
We can gun blast or party, Great Gatsby theme
Bring your first ladies or come with your new nasty thing
Cuz every other day Iâm reminding myself
I reached every goal that was high on the shelf
My comfort give you discomfort
Just know that in the hood they gonâ bump this
And Iâm only strong as my circle
The things that shaped me wouldâve murked you
(The things that shaped me)
And I donât like to reminisce
(The things that shaped me)
Cuz what we doinâ right now is really lit
(The things that shaped me wouldâve murked you)
When you high as me you get highly critiqued
Hopped on a beat, purposefully sounding like nine-three
None quite like me, so haters can S-M-D
When they bitter like black licorice my life still sweet
I went for the cash grab
Crack cash was my math class
Fresh white tee, two diamond crosses, look like a hashtag News is fake, never knew Iâd soon relate
To Tom Brady goinâ for seven in Tampa Bay
Itâs that crazy, I ainât never been bothered, that bothered you You ainât born for this sh*t, being great is too hard for you Thatâs a hater problem, they try to say it first what you might say about âem Why you stuck in the past? I stay vibinâ
Canât just reminisce only gotta live in the moment
Talked my sh*t at the MOMA with The Weeknd performing Iâm chosen
Got off the big Boeing in Rick Owens
Rick owe us, peep how different it look on us
My comfort give you discomfort
Just know that in the hood they gonâ bump this
And Iâm only strong as my circle
The things that shaped me wouldâve murked you
(The things that shaped me)
The streets, the beef, the beats
(The things that shaped me)
The creeps, the thiefs, defeat
(The things that shaped me wouldâve murked you)
And I donât like to reminisce
(Shout to Mary J Blige, YO, QB)
Cuz what we doinâ right now is really lit
(Those things were great man but today what we doinâ is next level) And I donât like to reminisce
(That was then, this is now)
Cuz what we doinâ right now is really lit
(Itâs about right now)
The things that shaped me wouldâve murked you
Trippinâ on âem
Spinninâ corners
Distant times
I reminisce on âem
Reminisce
And my past ainât the prettiest
There was a time they wasnât feelinâ us
Mass Appeal now we really up
Reminisce
Relationships ainât the prettiest
I was stuck on the silliness
Was it love that I was really in
We donât know until it really end
But then itâs too late, reminisce
Reminisce

This album is speaking life back into my body, just when I thought Hip Hop was officially dead, Nas is to the rescue yet again. Rap God vibes...
why so dramaticđ€Łđ€Ł
@@young2486 Hahaha .. #NASDID
Seriously? After the many amazing hip hop albums this year? You thinking hip hop was dead shows more about you not knowing a thing about hip hop .
@@justsomejusstsome8994 _Bruh!_ I used to be one of these old heads who hated on modern HipHop, until the last 5, 6 years, when there's more dope artists and albums than one can even keep up with, when the '80s babies took over and brought that real feel back... and I'm tired arguing with my fellow old(er) heads, who don't wanna hear all these incredible artists we try putting them on to. My playlists are filled to the brim with great albums from this year!
Public Enemy and NWA put me on back in the late '80s and early '90s. HipHop was everything to me growing up... the 2000s were rough, but HipHop is in the most beautiful place it's been, creatively, in over 20 years!
Edit: other OGs, like Nas, are putting out their best work in ages, too - from KRS-ONE to P.E. to Black Star, and more!
Hip hop been great this year.

Nas is just the Michael Jordan of hip hop bro. Dude is just amazing. This KD3 album sounds like a juice made from Life is good and KD2 . Crazy album. Pure East coast, boom bap sound. Great album for sure
Stop saying shit again , Nas is not a Jordan , Nas is Nas the greatest keep your story straight son , little child
Salute, but I must say there isn't a basketball player great enough from day one to compare to Esco
More parallels: he's efficient, not as outwardly "dramatic" as he gets older, less moves to accomplish more, and the older you get the more you appreciate him.
