Yeah I have a playpen for my Guinean pigs cuz one of them ran in the bushes once and it took us 30 to 40 minutes to get him out😂😂

When sockie caught baz and did her happy arms, she made my heart melt. Sockie just to let you know, you are a life saver, and you are so kind a brave for saving baz. I'm sure that naz is so grateful for what you did, and I'm sure that you, sockie, are very happy.

yall i personally think naz is not very responsible of taking care of the guinea pig, before she got it brooke and justin should have observed her if she was capable of taking care of the guinea pig, they also put the guinea pigs in a small cage which from what i see and other people is not a big enough space, i think she should have a lesson on how to take care of the guinea pig considering she lost it 2 TWO times. sockie is a GREAT example of a pet owner, shes able to teach trick to TWO dogs, take care of them, and has never hurt or lost them ONCE. i dont like the behaviour of naz and the parents should definitely change it, i so diaapointed.

Sockie is so mature. She really deserves to get Chickens like she’s so calm, so smart and organised. Her happy hands showed when Baz got into Naz’s embrace.

Don't worry Naz, everybody makes mistakes. Also, I definitely recommend you to get a guinea pig/rabbit run. It's like a cage but bigger and it has an open bottom which is on the grass. That way Baz and Cheddar can go on the ground and won't get lost. One more thing, if you lose him again DONT do the guinea pig call to him. That is their warning call to eachother so if your doing that, it's telling him there's something which could potentially kill him. He will only just run away and hide.
I feel like Sockie was the only one who really knew what she was doing, everyone else kept scaring the piggie off, and Naz ur an excellent guinea pig mom this was just a learning experience. Hello from New Jersey!

Hey naz, please don’t take piggies outside if they are not in a run! It will prevent these situations! Please don’t use leashes either they introduce stress! Also when you hold the pig try not to ‘grab’ the piggie from above, instead ‘scoop’ them with your hands and support their bun and front feet :) (this in no way is hate!! Just trying to help you and your piggies!!) xxx

Just a few tips.
1) they definitely need a bigger cage, that cage is way too small for them.
2) get a pen for outside
3) never make loud noises or scream when trying to catch an animal it terrifies them
4) Sudden movements scare them

Ok but I have a problem with this video. Notice how the mom only cares about the content and attention but nothing about the actual pig???? Like the mom (brook) had MULTIPLE chances to grab the pig bujt chose not to, she just decided to keep on recording. They would've been able to have the pig out of the deck in a matter of minutes possibly, only if the mom set the camera down and actually helped and didn't go around screaming. It's only for the attention which is just messed up. Like props to Sockie for actually being useful and helping and staying calm to not frighten the pig. This was a year ago but I still hold a strong grudge for this video because of how messed up it is. Naz might think she is prepared to take cxare of a guinea pig because she's been begging but still doesn't mean she actually is. In this video it gives avery clear example of why she isn't prepared to have a pet. Guinea pigs aren't pets for kids, especially if they have absolutely no experience. Just had to let that out. Do not come for me for being right. I know y'all fans and all but this video isn't it.

I’m honestly really proud of Biggy. He was willing to put himself in danger and face his fears to save Baz. All the spiders, ant and other bugs under the deck that could’ve bite him and he would’ve done it for his sister and her pet. He is such a great brother.

Tip: When you bring him outside, bring something to cover him. Guinea pigs like to be under a roof and that's why Baz went under the deck. Guinea pigs are scared of birds soaring over them and eating them.

Personally when my piggies run away from me I get something their personally attached to and use that to lure them out. Sadly it doesn’t always work the best thing to do then is to stay calm and try not to scare them away. If you can get another person and try to corner them. You did a great job trying to get him out. ;3
Naz is so lucky to have such good siblings to help her and the fact sockie handled it so calm I love how everyone was helping naz🤌🏼💗

This is why a kid shouldn't have a guinea pig. Half the people that wanted to get naz a guinea pig doesn't know ANYTHING about them. Guinea pigs CANNOT be in a PET STORE cage like she has. Whatever they say at the pet store is false. The cage you have is SO TINY there's no room to even move. This is abuse. She clearly didn't do any research. Making those noises SCARE pigs when you were trying to find him. Guinea pigs are prey. Baz was trying to feel safe under the deck. I have 2 guinea pigs myself. This is abuse. if i was naz's guinea pig. i should never come out. And don't say "shes just a kid" because its the parents fault for buying guinea pigs with no idea of anything.

Omg I was getting so frustrated with all of them especially Brooke for screaming and making so much noise. I know they were super worried but they shouldn’t have been screaming so much. Guinea pigs are prey animals they get scared easily, that shouldn’t have happened in the first place they all need to research.

2 years later and this video still makes me feel so tensed up even knowing u get baz back anyways. Biggy was such a good big brother, risking going under the house. The way nazzy cried broke me she did what any newly pet parent would do, she was 10 and scared and its completely valid! Sockie did amazing and she does amazing with pluto and winky too, shes 100% a animal expert!

just a tip, try giving the guinea pigs a few hours alone without picking them up. It stressed them out, the loud noises and all the people passing them around can cause them to be afraid .
I mean it’s not easy to stay quiet with 2 babies and 4 children in 1 room.

im glad you could get him out , but a tip for if you want to bring them in the garden. get a dog exercise/play pen and set it up in a square in the garden so you can be in the grass with the guinea pigs but also they are safe. sometimes i will set one up for my young puppy to play outside so it's outs side and in the grass but she is also safe :) ps. in america we call it a dog's exercise pen, may be different in Australia tho, also one pen is big enough for multiple people so it's good for multiple people to play with a pet and the pet has lots of room aswell

trust me ive had chickens my whole life they stink incredibly bad they attack you and its really scary they scratch you and everything and they bathe in dirt they make and hole and cover their feathers with it also they poo like everywhere literally it filled and grandmas backyard with poop everywhere you step and they also need a big chicken coop lol
as an owner of multiple guinea pigs, i just want to say that you shouldn't put your pig on the open grass because they are small animals and are prey so they are scared of big open spaces. they will take any opportunity to run behind something to hide, even inside on the floor they might run behind the sofa or under a table . running after them and squeaking like them can stress them out and cause them to have a heart attack . also, when they do high pitched squeaking means they are scared and stressed or looking for a buddy . i think you should've done research before getting them . even though you came from the right place and i appreciate you trying to give your guinea pig some sun time, make sure if they are outside to buy a play pen and houses for them to hide in . this means they can eat fresh grass and still feel safe and if they still manage to escape , please dont scream and run because that'll make them more anxious than they already are . instead stand by them and when they slowly approach you , pick them up . i hope your guinea pigs are okay and best of luck with them in the future .

The guinea pig deserves better- nah is a good owner just I don’t know if they were prepared, they need a lot of work, I own two Guinean pigs. Who would even let a guinea pig outside is a yard with no shoetee, they shouldn’t not have open spaces, they will get scared- we have houses for them and a play pen outside, they can go under the houses if needed.

Sockie had such a good tactic , and she was so responsible in the situation, knowing that the more you go up to Baz and call him the more timid he will get and the less likely it is for him to leave under the house!

He felt bad. He doesn’t even care about cheddar and any time he doesn’t get what he wants he goes on about how like they’re in the wrong and throws them under the bus and then goes on crying to make them feel bad. Like the time he started screaming at sabre about the boogers in the carrot challenge (he should’ve been out) and then in the old pool challenge he tried to steal sockies paddle/gun and fell in and just cried and went off in a huff. Like he just doesn’t think. And the worst part is that he doesn’t even care about poor cheddar like we can all see when anyone tries to hold cheddar they run away like a wild animal. Cheddar isn’t tame because he doesn’t care about cheddar. He needs to be more considerate and like he’s 11 he doesnt need a girlfriend like how tf is that meant to work out like overseas. They’ll go out for like 4 days and break up and he’ll be just all sad (makes sense kinda..) anyways enough rambling on I think u get my point? And yes he is a caring sibling but he really does need to work on a lot not just writing notes and crying hoping they’ll like him mote

You need to do the basic reserch, as a guinea pig owner loud noises (screaming) will cause them distress. Getting a pen is another thing, they are prey and in large spaces they will hide. This is really upsetting to watch knowing you could be great animal owners if you did reserch. In no way is this hate, just critical feedback

Exactly. Finally someone who is noticing this. They should just stop getting pets. First they step on the dog and k!ll it. Then they st@Eve their fish and they leave the Guinea pig out on the grass with a pen or anything! You need to do research before getting any pet. A bird could eaten it too. Also shouting causes them distress. It’s so hard to watch this without getting annoyed honestly. The fact they did no research when the pigs could’ve gone to a good home. Like I love how naz is concerned and stuff and got emotional quickly showing she really does care for baz. It’s just how can people continue supporting them? No hate to the family.

Well it’s easier to see by placing the camera and looking at what it shows than fully turning your head and the mom doesn’t know how to grab them so she filmed.

You need to get an outside play pen with a roof so he can’t jump and escape. You need to do research! Lots of it! I have had over 50+ pets, I have spent 6 years in education, volunteering at lots of shelters, owned them, was a animal carer and boarded and an animal technician at a college caring for over 100 animals including guinea pigs. PLEASE DO RESEARCH! The cage is to small, I know you’re trying to do the right thing but that’s not always helpful unfortunately, there are lots of videos and articles that you can read that are very well written. They can show you the correct diet, the correct housing requirement, the correct wait to health check them, the correct way to earn their trust the correct enrichment, toys and exercise and so so so much more! ♥️I literally had 3 pet rats at one point (best species I’ve ever owned, and they’ll be great pets if treated right and have knowledge on them) and their cage was a parrot cage, it was like 6ft tall and they had all sorts in their to keep them occupied) stores will sell you anything and everything and lie to you just to buy it.

I know we hav a lot of these where I live so I always use outdoor fencing with roofs and hides for mine but hawks foxes and other animals can get to them if they don’t hav a cage. It’s not just them running away.

on taking them out she is better of telling her parents
piggies should not be outside un-less in a run or playpen
the garden is not there free roam time
everyone screaming gives the guinea pigs anxiety
and stress and makes them want to hide alot more
baz has not bin outside before his first instict
was to check his new surroundings out
guinea pigs are active and curious animals
if you put them straight in a new enviroment they
will want to sniff , run , get under small gaps, and find hidy holes
chasing a guinea pig is a big no no guinea pigs hate being chased
they are prey animals if you are running after them trying to grab them
you are coursing them to run more as they feel trapped and feel the erge
to run.
If baz gets away stay silent and WALK towards him slowly
leave a peaflake or two outside of the gap walk a bit away
and leave it for a couple mins

what i would do to let the guinea pig outside is get a secure, big play area for the guinea pig with a roof to make sure it doesn't get out. Also make sure you keep a good eye on t even if its secure. You never know what could happen. Ly! Bye
Also don't try and force him out. Let him come out on his own so he feels safe around the area your in. I would wait until he comes out, let his free roam whilst following him and then when your in a space that he can't go anywhere? i would stroe him and slowly try to pick him up.

I think, If you want any pet you need to do research. They clearly didn't. Naz shouldn't of took Baz out the day after she got her/him, she shouldn't of even held him as he/she needs to adjust to its new home. And don't say she is only 10/11. I got a Guinea pig when I was 9. It lived until I was 14. about the age Guinea pigs live to. Also that cage is tiny, It should be used for little baby chicks/quails, not Guinea pigs unless its temporary. Sockie handled that pretty well. I know it was stressful but they also shouldn't've be running and screaming when it gets close.
Respectfully, shut up. Rules in Australia regarding Guinea pig handling and just animal and pets in general are much different in different parts of the world. Naz was very very excited about getting a Guinea pig and definitely did her research. It was simply an accident and this taught her a very valuable lesson that ensures no future mistake. You intention might have been good but it could have been worded better.

i was trying to literally talk to brooke through the screen, telling her to shut up because shes scaring the dang pig. she had MULTIPLE OPPORTUNITES TO DROP THE CAMERA and just grab baz. everyone is worried while mama is yelling and talking about content. PUT THE CAMERA DOWN BROOK. ITS SO EASY. sockie was right, he would have died by the morning but im pretty sure brooke wanted the daNG guinea to die because she keeps SCREAMING and not grabbing him when she has to opportunity.
