    EarFun L plays more controlled and more natural. The Bose sounds bit more impressive but with low definition in bass although its boosted bass always sounds like at the edge to distortion. If you prefer more natural and high defined, detailed and controlled sound there is no way around the EarFun L. Even my loved Denon Envaya has no chance and sounds even slightly off in direct comparison.

    thanks for the video. seems like a tough call from your sound test. i'd give the slight edge to the bose but the price of the uboom is more tempting.

    I dont know how to explain.but for more detailed and accurate sound reproduction as a composer would like to deliver,uboom for me.not to much,not less,not earpiercing,not too overboost but just nice.if you have listen to high end studio monitor speaker,you will see know what it is.

    I think I prefer the Earfun, it's a more open speaker, with better snese of space and separation. Don't know if it might lose some cohesiveness because of that though

      Not in person. I have both and yes flashed to the 043 firmware. The Uboom vocals are very drowned out by the overpowering mids. When the Bose is on its back or vertical it sounds way more spacious. Standing upright it sounds very similar to the Uboom to be honest, but with better vocals. Flex on its back is the best sound. Bose has a tech that changes the EQ setting based on its position. It works perfectly and sounds way better on its back. I believe it has a treble boost and maybe dialed back bass due to the fact if its in its back the bass port will have natural reverb on whatever surface it is laying on. At least that’s my guess.

      What’s the firmware of this UBoom L?

    • @joelf5565
      @joelf5565 Před 5 měsíci +1

      @ramynasara4268 If I had to guess, this demo is the 050 just based on the fact that it is presenting louder than the Flex at same volume level. Only the 050 sounded a smidge louder than the Bose at same volume level. All the others I actually dialed down the Bose volume to compare at same ear level. Of course I play the Bose on its back. It is a tad bit louder on its back (slight treble boost). The Flex sounds way better on its back.

    Best treble and bass for uboom l🔥🔥

    • @joelf5565
      @joelf5565 Před 5 měsíci +3

      In person the Uboom L doesn’t sound good, and I tried all the 04x firmwares done by Oluv and with and with indoor and outdoor mode. I have both of these and the Flex sounds way better. The treble is clearer and brighter on the Flex (especially when the Flex is on its back…EQ changes and is my favorite position). As for bass it depends. On songs with deeper bass the Bose wins. On songs with more mid punchier bass the Uboom wins. Problem with the Uboom L is regardless of song, bass and treble, or EQ firmware the vocals sound rough (like the singer has a cold) and the drums can sound like hitting garbage cans. The overall sound compared to the Flex is muffled sounding. Uboom is neutral, but to a fault. You don’t hear proper inflections in the song. Very non engaging, and that is what music should be about. The only time the Uboom might sound better is at near max volume, but neither sounds great at near max. These small portable speakers aren’t meant for that.

    Earfun takes the clear win here in my opinion.. bose also sounds somehow "metallic" with quite uncontrolled messy bass in addidtion to all what the others wrote..

    • @joelf5565
      @joelf5565 Před 5 měsíci

      I have both a find the Flex bass sounds great. It is a low deep bass which is superior to mid punchy bass like on the Uboom. Mid bass can drown out treble, which is exactly what I hear with the Uboom. The vocals and drums do not sound good on the Uboom. They sound amazing on Flex. I would have loved to have found an amazing speaker at $60, but it just sounded so drab and raspy compared to the Flex. One thing to note, I much prefer the Flex in its back. Bose has position IQ which changes the EQ based on its position. It works flawlessly and sounds way better on its back…yet no one demos it that way.

    Did you update the last firmware of UBoom L? or is the stock version, ty

    • @enterix

      imo based on the sound signature (low freqency) it is a stock firmware.

      @Hippoman55 Před rokem +5

      @@enterix I agree, the highs are a bit rough which tells me he didn’t update. It’s a shame they couldn’t ship them all with the latest firmware bc it really was a hassle for me. Bricked my speaker for a bit until I asked Oluv and he suggested trying a different computer. Luckily that worked.

    • @joelf5565
      @joelf5565 Před 5 měsíci

      I did. 043 and also 048. Came shipped with 050. They all sound like trash compared to the Flex. I have both and the vocals do not sound natural on the Uboom like they do on the Flex. It’s not an EQ thing, it’s the quality of the drivers, or lack there of. And the Uboom is two drivers to Flex’s one and still sound smaller. And it’s supposed to be a stereo speaker; yet somehow Flex’s mono speaker sounds wider (particularly when place on its back).

    Earfun... Impresive compared to bose. More open, spacious and not so compressed.
    Definitely better highs. Bose slightly better w in bass.

      If you compare in person and put the Flex on its back you’ll see it is the other way around. The Earfun is not fun for my ears. I have both and have been going back in forth and it is not even close. Flex sounds brighter, clearer, more crisp and controlled.

      I agree. I have owned Bose, JBL6, Earfun, and Wonderboom 3 Bluetooth speakers. Among them, Earfun is my least favorite. It seems to be popular mainly because of heavy advertising, but in my opinion, it doesn't live up to its price. If you're looking for a superior experience, I recommend Bose. It offers exceptional sound quality with true bass and no distortion. It's definitely worth the investment.

      Ditto. I updated to firmware 0.4.3 (Oluv’s running) and have been comparing for days between these two speakers going back and forth with different genres and in no universe is the Earfun better sounding than the Bose Flex. The Earfun vocals sound underwater, snare drum sound like a tom drum, hi-hats are like hitting garbage can instead of a psst sound. The whole sound stages has this echoed sound. It is just a very dull sound. The Flex sounds quite amazing imo.

    • @joelf5565
      @joelf5565 Před 5 měsíci +1

      Yes. I own both and the Uboom L with any of the 04x firmwares doesn’t sound anywhere near as nice. I prefer the Flex sound on its back as it sounds brighter. All these comments are either Chinese agents selling their cheap crap or people who have listened to Oluv and convinced themselves it’s so great. In person the Uboom is like listening to a cassette and the Flex is a CD.
