    I hope you can get to the bottom of it. If I remember correctly there are several people who sell canbus adapters for tesla's. You likely need a linux based laptop like ubuntu for raw can debugging. The link it to your wifi and let someone remote in on it with a vpn, etc who can help. I have done it on my honda. I used the open source cantact tool with ubuntu 16 on an old hp laptop with an i3 back in 2017 when I was debugging honda's vcm system to see if the system could be disabled over canbus. If you are going to be logging you might need an ssd drive on the laptop due to the volume of can messages. High speed canbus was 1mb/s and low speed as 125k/s. I have heard that the charging port that negotiates w/ the superchargers and mobile connectors use 33k can speed.

    Just double check those HV DC connectors to the inverter are pushed down all the way. At 7.20 they don’t look like they’re pushed right in. If they’re not right down they may not be water tight.

      Correct. They also did not seem to be fully inserted initially when I took them out. I wondered about all this too. I wonder how easily the metal "sleeve" can be slid/adjusted. I will have to find out. Update: The sleeves are hydraulically crimped around the cable. Impossible for me to adjust.

    You did not put in the service plug in correctly. The black handle needs to be perpendicular prior inserting.

    Thanks for video, good job!
    Try clearing the codes in the Toyota EV system, for example, by disconnecting the 12V battery for 5 minutes or 5 times on-off* ignition.
    After erasing the code in Toyota EV system(P312f*), let me does it reappear in IGN ON mode or when car is in Ready?
    Judging by your description, maybe it is necessary to remotely diagnose* the Tesla system of your vehicle.
    Contact David from California, US (phone number*). I remotely diagnosed him with RAV4EV and he can help organize this process.

    Where is no point of even connecting to a OBD port what you showing. You need a specal cable+ sofware and you need other obd-like port(actually, not obd compatible) in a trunk under a driver side panel. Its possible to add a second obd2 connector to connect to tesla network using toolkit or aftermarket can tesla tools, like T-Can.

      Ah yes I was kind of afraid of that AND hoping for that because now I can make more videos about using that Tesla connector!

    Hello) did have success with you drive unit? If not i will tell you why) I doing the same now with tesla model s second time)))
    You need a Megohmmeter. To test the drive unit, must be 4.0+ M.om.

      Yes, success: I made mistake with service plug grip. Next video will explain. And yes isolation resistance is very important, must be at least 2.0MOhm for RAV4 EV.

    • @eastmanresearch3143
      @eastmanresearch3143 Před rokem

      Please explain where the isolation resistance is - I am am assuming it's between the DC connections to the battery, but you could be referring to the 3 phases on the AC motor too... I have a model S and expect to tear it down at some point due to seal failure.
